Finally, a Stalker's Guide about an actor, whom I never heard of (shame on me). You wrote it well, I chose to…
Haha! Well, I think I mentioned him to you before ('cause I'm a fangirrrl!) but honestly, I think there are probably tons of actors that one hasn't heard of - there are so many of them! :)
Good choices! Shima no sensei was actually the first time I saw Nakama Yukie, and I was like "WOW!" :)
wow I never realized that he was the same guy from rich man poor woman when i watched kimi ni todoke until i read…
Yeah, I think a lot of people didn't really notice him in Kimi ni todoke, at least I got that impression on another forum where they discussed his roles.
I'm glad you liked it, thank you for reading and commenting. And I'm glad I made you want to watch things! :)
Ahh, I knew you'd be doing one of these someday. =) With this article I've realised I've watched more of his movies…
*lol* I knew it too, as soon as I realized that Stalker's Guides is a thing. ;) I just had to watch EVERYTHING first. Then I realized that there aren't subs for everything, so there you go. :) Maybe I'll have to start rewatching things. I wonder if that would make me change my opinion on some things? After all, with the first few Japanese dramas I watched, I was probably like in the early stage of falling in love. Not just with Iura Arata, but the whole j-drama thing!
I bought the novel recently, maybe that'll make me want to watch the movie, because I remember that I really wanted to read it the first time I saw the book. I haven't read it yet, though.

Great choice! You know there are good actors and great actor and Arata is absolutely one of the greatest ones.…
Thank you! Yes, even though I also got to know him through RMPW, I completely agree with you. (No big surprise!) He - and others - should get more attention from the international audience. Sadly, I don't think I know one single person who has ever heard of him (if they haven't heard it from me!) because it's a rare, rare thing to see Japanese movies on TV or in movie theatres in my country. And dramas? Never! People in general know a little about anime, Kurosawa and maybe some horror, the rest is a blind spot. (The movie Departures did get some attention, but it's like a rare and exotic exception.) Well, I was just the same, but I understand now how much we're missing out on here. (I'm tankful for the internet!)

Hey, I was just wondering, inspired by your username, what's your favourite Arashi song? :)
This is a great article. It was quite a while since I last watched any classic films, that\s a shame because I do like them. :)

Hej! Kul att se en svensk här. :) Bra skriven profiltext - jag förstår dig precis! "As a feminist and as someone over the age of 30 - the lacking gender equality in Asia, in combination with their obsession with youth, puts a bit of a damper on the enjoyment."
We all have different taste, so I don't think it's strange that some people like this and others don't (I'm just a bit surprised because I thought this would be more popular). Personally I think it makes sense to drop or put on hold after two eps if that's how you feel - why waste your time on something you don't enjoy? I really like this drama, though! All the chocolate aside, I like how it portrays different ways of dealing with unrequited love - they're so far all more or less in the same boat, but with different points of view on things. Sometimes, things are taken to what could be seen as an extreme level, but I don't see anything "fucked up" about it. All the characters seem very human to me. Right now, I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to happen with Erena in the next episode. :)
I just watched the first episode, and I'm not sure what to think of it yet. Interesting and funny? Too silly?…
Haha, same here!! :)
Yeah. I have a feeling I'll be in the mood for some comedy in about a month - right now I don't have time for anything like drama watching, but when this slow down a bit I'll need to relax. :)

Really? One of the best dramas ever and amazing? Hm, I guess I'll have to keep watching this, then! I put it on hold after episode 3. I did not dislike it (or the genre) so I didn't drop, I just wasn't in the mood for something like this back in August when I first watched it.
Wow, this drama is underrated! 7.71?! *shakes head* I loved it. There was some crazy drama, of course, but in my opinion, this drama was captivating and beautiful. *happy sigh*
Well, I absolutely cannot understand Azumi's actions in the last few episodes - he loves her, she loves him, but he still insists that it's better for her to forget about him?! it just doesn't make any sense and in my opinion, it's cruel and selfish... I'm happy he finally realized he was wrong! I think the last few episodes were rather stupid (but this is Dramaland, so what did I expect?!), but even them had some very lovely scenes that made me smile and even cry a bit! The ending, of course, was great! So, I'll just pretend all that nonsense didn't happen and be happy that I watched it. :)
If anyone has read the novel this is based on, I'd love to hear from you! :) Doesn't matter if you read this comment two years from now or whenever, I'll still be interested. :)

Yeah, I suppose he could have! There were times when I thought so, too, and I wouldn't have been disappointed if Sakura had chosen him. But like you, in the end, I'm happy it was Hiroto.
Also, I liked Shima! I want to see that actress in more roles, because she's gorgeous, but I haven't yet.
