Title My Demon
I feel like this show had more potential than what it ended up being. The chemistry peaked in the first half of…
I quite enjoyed the first half/two thirds, but far too much time was spent on them mooning over each other, complete with lots of expensive clothes/homes, slow motion, heavy filters and heavier makeup, in order to give the semblance of 'chemistry' where there was none.

This seems to get a lot of hate here and on redditIs it still Worth watching? I loved S1 but don't want to ruin…
I loved season 1, but season 2 seemed (to me) like the worst sort of fan-fic, written by a particularly thick and simpering fan. We lost any semblance of plot, the FL went from a complex, nuanced, intelligent woman to a vapid, thirsty (really thirsty) teen, the charming bromance all but disappeared. I think the Hong sisters should be ashamed they foisted this drivel on us, frankly.

I like the actress, but I felt so much pity for her. She is:dumb, poor, lacks self-respect,and a pushover. Why is…
"Don't women hate this when a man is portrayed as strong and a woman as a weak dumb person?"

Apparently not.

In many Korean dramas women are either weak, thick, simpering and thirsty (oh, so thirsty, but squeakily virginal at the same time) or, if they are meant to be 'strong' women, they'll be violent drunks.

The "calling unrelated people a relative's title" isn't at all shocking because in my culture we (used to) do the same. My parent's friends were always 'uncle' John and 'auntie' Grace, for example.

And rich/posh/well-connected people here get away with much more than poor people/those on benefits (welfare), not least because they can afford good lawyers or Daddy plays golf with the Chief Constable.

this is a very uncalled-for and rude thing to say. in the same comment you called her a bad actress and you’re…
In Scarlet Heart she spent 90% of her scenes doing the "someone's just put a carrot up my arse" shocked face. However, she's really grown as an actor and, in things like My Mister, really shone.

For me it's two things: the sheer volume of alcoholism in Korea/kdramas, and how very dangerous levels of drinking (and dangerous linked behaviours) are portrayed as cute/funny/romantic in female characters. And the casual/minimising attitudes towards domestic violence (particularly when the perpetrators are female or in school/work settings).

Song Hye Kyo had the same "I've just had a stroke" expression on her face in 95% of the scenes in this, including some that should have been intensely emotional ones. And the male lead didn't do much better. Also, the plot was utterly nonsensical, even by the normal standards of Korean dramas.

It's becoming increasingly evident that productions are becoming stingy when it comes to casting younger versions…
It doesn't help when the writers double down on how 'young' someone looks through the dialogue, when they look every minute of their 30, 40 or 50 years (while still being attractive, since they're seperate things).

There are a few signifiers for crap dramas, to me. One of them is being 'unique' (they will trot out every trope in the book) or 'refreshing' (trust me, it won't be) and the other biggie is any synopsis that suggests that one/both leads aren't interested in romance. Because in the latter case they'll be cringingly thirsty and imposing their sweaty attentions on some poor idiot in the first episode. Or, in the case of Dear M, in the first 10 minutes.

The drama is alright, but the FL is just killing me with her: What? What? What? I get that she is shy, but her…
I waited for the 'big reveal' to be that the extensive plastic surgery had either left her hearing-impaired or brain-damaged, and thats why 90% of her dialogue was "What?" with that window-licking expression. But, apparently, she's just 'shy',

As humans we all have different perspectives of things, we can watch a movie and we learn something different…
Korean writers (even many female writers) like their heroines thick as mince (even if they are doctors, vets or lawyers), desperate to hook a man (despite being virgins in their 30s) and - ideally - drunk, aggressive or screeching much of the time.

IDK why people are hating on Yumi's choice. Being swayed by another person while in a relationship can be considered…
He didn't 'cheat' on her in any way that's meaningful to ordinary humans (those who have actually had relationships). He was 'shocked' by the silly intern's confession - as anyone who wasn't a massive egoist would be - but immediately took steps to minimise his contact with her.
