Title Little Women
Has anyone read the book or seen the american movie`? Does the Drama have any similarities with it? It says that…
No, it's not an adaptation - in any way - of the story of the novel. but there are some characters/details/situations that echo it.

Letting themselves in, making comments about her appearance and pawing her, no less.

That's what it was? I didn't see that she was trying to make him remember her. Well she's not doing a good job.
The dog is cute, though.

So, this is like a very, very, VERY low rent Hometown ChaChaCha? But with a stalker FL who will 'punish' the ML for not returning her sweaty attentions? Didn't we just get that in Cafe Minamdang? I wonder when she'll start punching or kicking him . . .

It would be interesting if people still thought it was 'cute' if the creepy, handsy and thick as mince characters were male.

To tell you the truth this series has started losing it’s steam! I absolutely loved Bakuman which is kinda similar…
I kind of agree with you, though I'm still enjoying this overall. Why the hints of romance? The romance lovers will have a hissy fit when it doesn't come to pass (particularly those who get angry that they can't choose the end game, like in those children's books) and it detracts from an interesting story and character development.

If you liked the themes within Tomorrow, Mystic Pop Up Bar and/or Move To Heaven, i think you will like this drama…
I think this is comparable on the basis of 'cases' to 'solve' each week (which I like), the potential sadness of each case and the slice-of-traumatic-life vibe. Although this, like Chocolate, spends more time on the relationships between the central team - particularly the romance between Yoon Kyeo Re and Seo Yeon Joo.

I'm surprised, actually, at the number of parallels to the book, both in terms of the characters and some of the other details. As a non-spoiler example, in the book they're (genteel) poor because the father guaranteed a loan for an untrustworthy friend. In this Daddy is a gambler. Mummy is no Marmee, mind.

Yes, I wondered about that - it's not really an 'age gap' is it?

I'm sorry this is random but the Mandarin used in ep 16 is not Chinese... Why did it translate as China?? Thats…
Mandarin is the most commonly spoken language in Taiwan but some people also speak one of the Formosan dialects, Hokkien, Hakka, Matsu and Wuqiu. Maybe it was one of those, rather than Mandarin.

ok but i still haven't felt the chemistry between the leads yet
Me neither. I think the 'chemistry' is quite fake/forced.

I feel that this is trying to be Midnight Diner (which I love) but failing. It has bolted on a vague fantasy element set in medieval Europe (ala Fullmetal Alchemist) yet where everyone is Japanese but that isn't fully developed either. And, of course, everyone starts shouting/making orgasm noises to indicate the food is delicious. The food, to be honest, looks pretty good.

Correction: she played the caregiver of the old guy - I was thinking of Go Min-si. Hmmm, not sure you could tell if she was A list, B list or any other list from that. Anyway, happy to keep an open mind as I'll definitely be watching part 2.

I love Sweet Home - its one of my favourites - but she played the sister, right? She was fine in that, but not particularly memorable or outstanding.

Totally agree with you. If Yoon Jung doesn’t portray the same Naksu/Mudeok as the one So Min played, then it…
Yes, if she plays a completely different 'soul' (or as us plebs would say person/personality) it does make that "People don't fall in love with bodies, but with souls" even more bollocks than it already is.

I don't know the webtoon from a bar of soap but would bet a full dollar on him eventually choosing to be poor but happy. Amirite?

Older western dramas did this too - someone would be caught in the rain and suddenly have fever/pneumonia/consumption. Yes, its crap scientifically but still widely believed.
