On One Ordinary Day Nov 27, 2021
Actually surprised by how similar it was to The Night Of (I haven't watched Criminal Justice so can't comment). I thought they might tone things down for Korea but I'm glad they decided to go all out. I do wish they had put more of their own spin on it though.

They showed his sister in this episode. It was the little girl
Hong Guk-yeong was his given name. "Hong Deok-ro" was his courtesy name (it's real too but I guess most info on the internet will be under his given name).

have you seen story of yanxi palace? there are so many strong female character in that harem drama!
No, I'm afraid I don't watch c-dramas

Really enjoying how many smart/interesting female characters there are in this drama, Deok-im, the Queen, Court Lady Jo, Hyegyeong. Deok-im's friends are also great. Sometimes sageuks can be a sausage-fest but that's not the case here.

Please watch episode 6. The little girl is introduced as Deok-ro's sister, and he warns Deok-im not to get close to her. She will later one of become of Yi San's concubines. Her name is Royal Noble Consort Won. These are all real historical figures.

They said he’s around 80 so he should be dying in a few years which I guess depending on the drama can be soon…
He was the only one without one. But that doesn't mean he didn't have a stick-on one that he took off. I guess we'll see soon enough lmao

Looking at the peak viewership ratings, I think it's quite possible this episode broke 10%

Imagine if Deok Im and Deok Ro did "something" together and then later found out they are sibilings? Ughh habaI…

It's also because the verified rating is on the lower side. People, get yourselves verified if you want your ratings…

I'd say the main reason this has a low rating is cause some people, like myself, don't typically rate dramas until…

Every episode ends with a strong pull towards the left. Geesh. It gets better, and then the last two minutes is…
I think his character is somewhat true to life because Yeongjo is described as pretty emotional and volatile. Let's not forget that he put his own son to death by locking him in a rice chest

Lol Lee Deok-hwa already spoiled his death scene. But yeah I reckon there's gonna be a big part of the drama where San is king because Junho said he's filming in the red robes now. There's a photo of him in them and his crew aged up with goatees

From the way the king was stumbling around and the queen saying he looked ill, I think he hasn't got long to live. Or he'll be too ill to rule and Yi San's regency will start soon

I love how each episode builds to a climactic scene in the final 20 minutes or so. Makes you have to keep watching until the end

I don't see the point in comparing them. What makes this drama work is that they're both doing their job well and have good chemistry

And that's fine, that's your opinion. But as I said, it's not just people on here who have been praising him. There are dozens of Korean news articles I could link you to which do the same. To suggest it's something about gender is just wrong and frankly insulting to the people here

I agree. The thing is, so far her character hasn't had a big "wow" scene. Maybe her scene with the king came close. Junho's character has had more to do dramatically, so he's been able to show off more and people will obviously make comments about it

The crown prince is really royalty and his father really killed all those people like a mad man or was he adopted?…
His father was Crown Prince Sado and no he wasn't adopted. You can google Sado to learn more about him but, in short, he did indeed murder people and he had severe mental health problems

In this thread, people have been impressed by his acting in the latest episode. Anyone who watches it would know. He's also been getting praise all over the Korean media. Gender has nothing to do with it
