You should start understanding the rating. 18+ Restricted (violence & profanity)
How about you start understanding what violence & profanity actually mean? (from google) Violence - behaviour involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something. Profanity - socially offensive language, which may also be called cursing, cussing or swearing, cuss words, curse words, swear words, bad words, or expletives. No mention of explicit scenes. As I have pointed out below in my comment to another user, AiB tags also do not mention explicit scenes or reference to gang rape. Sweet Home has the same content rating: 18+ Restricted (violence & profanity) - and not a single explicit scene. Did you learn something new today?
*facepalm* OP just wanted to express their opinion that they would prefer a little less explicit scenes, just like how you expressed your opinion that you don't mind the explicit scenes. Why are you and the others so triggered? An adult drama does not always mean there is explicit scenes. Sweet Home is a perfect example. It has the same content rating: 18+ Restricted (violence & profanity) - and not a single explicit scene. Even in the tags for AiB, there is not a mention of explicit scene or reference to gang rape. It was unexpected for OP as it was for me. How were we to know and to expect those scenes to show up if we haven't read the manga? Someone explained to OP those scenes were originally in the manga, okay cool, doesn't mean OP can't say they would prefer it if there was a little less of those kind of scenes. AiB is still a great drama and I even recommended it to a friend, but I let her know there is explicit scenes so she's not thrown off by them. OP is correct, it was unnecessary (from our perspective, you don't have to agree, we all have different views and tastes), but telling OP to go and watch soapy Chinese dramas with cardboard kisses is very belittling.
You must be delusional... A 9/10? For this poor adaptation?
Hahaha, oh gosh, I just had a little chuckle to myself. I was about to reply and say English must not be your first language, when you corrected yourself saying 'you must be' and 'you are' do mean the same thing. I wasn't so wrong when I said you made yourself sound pretty stupid. I have no idea what you're trying to say comparing 'you have a' and 'you are' when neither were in your first post - irrelevant.
I'm not sure what your point is, saying you'll give me the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't for the money. Dude, it probably is all about the money. Whatever request the authors made and whatever decisions the director made is definitely all about the money. They gotta make money and a living. I hope they DO make LOTS of money so we'll have a second season. I am merely answering your question why the writing changed from the webtoon.
mmmm nope, unfortunately this sentence of yours 'Even if I didn't read the webtoon, the drama is not deserving of a 9/10' is invalid because you DID read the webtoon. You weren't able to separate the drama from the webtoon and you're very disappointed. That's okay, you can be disappointed and rate it 7/10. Many webtoon readers did enjoy the drama because they knew not to compare adaption and original.
You kinda made yourself sound stupid again with this sentence "The majority can agree that it is rated 9/10 (They don't)", with the extra parenthesis. Look above at the average rating. It is now 8.6 out of 10, sneaking pretty close to 9. Safe to say, the majority rated it pretty high, dude.
You can call your friends delusional and they will take it lightly because they are your friends and personally know you. You don't know the OP and vice versa. While saying 'you must be delusional' is only rated 6 on your scale, it might be perceived differently to OP and rated higher on their scale, understand?
I feel like you're one of those people who like to debate for the sake of it, and not to actually progress intellectually as a human being. You know you're mistaken with your definition of 'you must be delusional' and choose not to apologize to OP. If our world ever became anything like Sweet Home, you'll be among the first to give into your desire, turn into a monster and get killed by Hyun Soo. Happy drama watching, kiddo.
You must be delusional... A 9/10? For this poor adaptation?
I'm sure you're right, that the webtoon is much better. I have told you why the writing is different from the webtoon - at the request of the webtoon authors. They wanted to see a different perspective on their webtoon, and I also think it's to get people curious enough to check out the webtoon. This is good for the authors.
That's what I'm saying, of the 800+ users, I'm sure the majority didn't read the webtoon, but they rated the drama high. You are watching the drama through the lens of the webtoon, of course you will be terribly disappointed comparing the two.
Oh yes, definitely, your opinion matters - about the drama, mate. You can say all you want about the drama, but as other people have tried pointing out to you, don't undermine other people's opinion that matter just as much as yours. I'm trying to show you how ridiculous your comment calling OP delusional is by bringing in the majority, who agree with OP. Learn to respect other people's opinions just as much as you want everyone to respect yours. Have a good day.
You must be delusional... A 9/10? For this poor adaptation?
Um, you do realise you're in the minority, yeah? Most reviewers have rated 8.5, 9, 9.5 or 10. I personally gave it a 10. The average rating is 8.5 from 800+ users. I guess we're all delusional and you're the only sane one. You're entitled to your opinion ABOUT THE DRAMA, we get it, you didn't like that it was not a copy and paste of the webtoon. Leave it at that, otherwise you make yourself sound really stupid. An adaption will never follow the original 100%. I dare say not even 90%. The most we'd get is 80% or 85% if we're lucky. If the drama was a copy and paste of the webtoon, no one would go and read the webtoon after watching the drama. Why the heck do you think the original authors requested the production team to express the webtoon differently? Sheesh.
Did writer forgot that Jisu was also infected? Only once shown when she got nosebleed. After that, nothing else…
Jisu was never infected. Her nosebleed was fake. They were doing a simulation to catch a monster and Jisu was pretending to be an infected / turning into a monster.
Will the subbing of this series continue till ending? Thank you in advance!
Thanks for your interest in Let's Shake It. Just a couple of FYI: 1. Dramacool does not sub. They take other people's hard work and re-upload them onto their site. 2. AVV has subbed until ep 15. The subbed episodes you saw on dramacool (ep 16-21) was not subbed by AVV, but someone else. Sorry, but AVV will obviously pick up where they left off, that is ep 16, and continue to deliver high quality subs. It doesn't make sense for them to skip 16-21 just to do the last 5 episodes first. Whatever the others have done for ep 16-21 has nothing to do with AVV. Perhaps you may just need to wait a bit longer to see the final 5 episodes you've been waiting for. I'll definitely drop a line here once subbing resumes. =]
Love this drama. It’s a good watch. Strong FL that I like. Chinese cuisines allLook so delicious. Don’t care…
I totally agree! I love this show! And who cares if it's a substitute doing the actual cooking (different hands shown). It's to be expected. The actress is not a chef in real life. It's the food/cooking process that matters! Oh, the amazing food. Makes me hungry every time I watch.
I am pleased to announce A Virtual Voyage has partnered up with Productive Procrastination to provide subtitles for Chef Hua. You can download yourself a nice copy or stream online from PP, who has already started providing you links below if you haven't noticed.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! Really appreciate it. It makes all the time and effort we put into subbing feel worthwhile. It also makes us keep going and complete it no matter how long it takes! Episodes 11-14 are out on AVV and Episode 15 should be posted soon! Enjoy and thanks again for your patience.
Yes, we are! We are currently subbing episode 15. Once that's done, there'll be editing, encoding and then episodes 11-15 will be released! Thank you so much for your patience and for still showing interest in this drama despite our snail pace subbing! =)
Apologies for the extremely late post. It was meant to be posted last month, but due to unforeseen circumstances, was delayed. AVV are committed to completing Season 2, so rest assured. It just might be slow going because there are only 2 subbers/editors and 1 encoder who are working on it in their free time among full time work and other real life commitments.
