It's already completed. This is from last chapter and we have a special chapter about xiang liu pov before he died. I hope the drama change a bit to make xiao yao witness xiang liu death instead of hearing a news about the death.

Coming so out of the blue that she could not brace for it, Xiao Yao felt a piercing dagger stab her chest and her ears were ringing. The pain in her heart exploded and the wine cup in her hand dropped.

Jing worried cried out “Xiao Yao!”

Xiao Yao murmured “It can’t be! It’s impossible! He can’t be dead just like this! I started this because I like lusi and I saw riley wang on tiktok and he's pretty cute. But man, he looks grumpy most of time. Now on eps 6, I can't stand how wooden he is. It's a shame coz I like the trope and how fl has a clear vision of her future. But the ml acting is dissappointing :(

I saw few bts photos on tiktok and came here to say.. the costumes are the prettiest I've ever seen in cdrama. Like every single xixi outfits are so pretty. I think when it air, I will watch for the plot and once again just to appreciate the costumes

I thought he is sml worthy? I saw him as sml in the longest promise. Here he is support and we dont even know his character? Is he not popular in China?

I watch this because of xu kai and esther yu. I love both of them esp esther in mjty. I've watched up to ep 4 and I dont think this is my cup of tea. I love strong fl like mjty, tteotm and lyf.. qi is so childish and immature. It feels like jinzhao was taking care of baby instead of a fully grown adult. This is an 8.0 from me but let see if it gets better

Anyway I havent watch sword fairy 4 coz I havent watch anything with the leads. Dont think I wil watch it. I said this in case people think I dislike this drama because of that drama

Very light but I love it since their first enclunter is not good and du cheng hates shen yi at first but gradually smitten lol

I didnt mean their first encounter though. He got an idea that she is a woman when she able to lure feifei out. Other than first encounter
1. Broke the branch causing xiaoliu to break her leg
2. Push her to the ocean
3. Got mad and strangle her until her nose bleed
4. As xiaoyao, he left her at the island and make her swim until almost drown

He is a rough guy, I dont hate him. But isnt that consider a red flag? At least in the beginning. It just a way for him to perhaps denying his love to her but I dont think it's right. I love him so much and hurt for him but he is not the best guy for xiaoyao. Even he knew that. He said he can hurt her when angry because it's a demon's nature.

I have finished watching and this is my take:

1. Plot wise it is a fast pace drama in term of cdrama. My friend whose a kdrama watcher decided to give this a try after my positive review but dropped at ep 10 coz she said it is slow. It shocked me coz she dont know how slow can cdrama be. This is one of the fastest pace. So much happening in one ep.

I love that the writer keep reminding us that xiaoyao is afraid of loneliness. She jumped from one ml to another without feeling annoying. She dont use them as protection but just for a company. I can easily understand her action.

2. 3 male leads (i dont count fenglong as ml)
-cangxuan is ambious man. He loves xiaoyao but he also want power. I love that he is very smart and weighing all options. Eventhough he loves xiaoyao, he decided she was better off with someone else coz he cannot commit 100% to her.
- tushan jing is the kind-hearted one perhaps too much for his own good. Easy to blackmail and give others the benifit of doubt. Tbh I dont like a too soft person so eventhough he is the best one for xiaoyao I dont ship them lol.
-xiang liu is well, my love. Coming from a painful childhood, the nine-headed demon is what it is. He is rough, sometimes too rough to xiaoyao. He make me mad for hurting xiaoyao but make me soft later. It's an emotional ride. Probably the best lover in this drama. He is selfless, protecting her in silence, accompany her when she feels down, always make it seems like he was making a deal but it really just benefited the other just so she dont feel indebted. A greatest lover but it doesnt necessarity make a good partner. He knew it, we knew it but try to deny it.

Anyway I sneek a peek at the novel last 5 chapters and will brace myself with the coming angsty in season 2

I had to talk about the acting first coz it's so frustrating to see dengwei as tushan jing. I usually like the typical good guy but dengwei potrayal is so bland that I dont really have affection for tushan jing. I wish they pick an actor that can make me hard to choose between tushan jng and xiangliu. I'm all for xiang liu now (but in reality tushan jing is the best for xiaoliu).

The plot is so good and I love love love xiaoliu. Many ship her with xiang liu but tbh he is a red flag. Tushan jing is the best one for her.

I need to talk about the acting.
1. This is first time I saw yang zi and damn girl she's a good actress. I really just love her. Her expression stuck in my mind after binge watching the drama.
2. Tan jianci managed to make people ship xiangliu with xiaoliu because he is remarkable actor. He is the best out of three even I felt in love with him. Xiangliu is a total red flag and if act wrong people will end up hating him. He keep beating xiaoliu but still manage to make people ship them? That's a gift. Tan jianci, I'm your fan now
3. Dengwei as tushan jing.. how should I say this.. his acting is quite boring. Like a textbook acting. He has a very good character but didnt manage to steal the limelight. I saw him in till the end of the moon but he's not memorable there too. For me he dont have the male lead aura.
4. Zhang wanyi is good but his character is meh. Nothing to comment

Hi.. I recently became his fan after wathing tteotm. I felt in love with his acting instead of his visual. But along time, he becoming more attractive and watching his gaming videos made me totally love him and his personality.

I saw a video when wyb said xiao zhan is photogenic. Before I know him and saw his picture I was like why this man is so popular he just looks normal handsome. After I watched his drama I'm floored. He is the most beautiful, good looking man on earth. When he smiles omg if you dont love him after seeing his smile you are not normal

My review on this drama

Acting
-Ding yuxi acting is very good but not till the point that I will remember it. He hard carried this drama tbh. Acting as many different person is challenging and he does not fail it.
-Yang chao yue acting is bearable. I've seen worst. It just that her sad acting is bad it made my tears goes back in when they want to fall during sad scenes. Otherwise, the michievous xiangyun is cute and pretty.

Plot
-easy to follow. You can tell directly from the title. Lol
- too easy to predict it's like reading a bad written fanfic when u can guess what happen in chapter 1.

It suppose to be a tragic ending but I didnt shed a tear. Not sure if it's the directing or fl acting or bad script. I think chukong talk too much before the end it kind of kill the feeling. I managed to finish watching this drama and just enjoy the feeling of wasting my time.

I'm not really a reader since I'm bad at imagining. I'd love to read the manhua though. How accurate it is compared to the novel? I know some scenes are spicy (I saw people saying the novel is nsfw). I just need a kiss lol that will make me happy
