That's a good point. Mr Sunshine had gorgeous shots as well but they were brimming with emotion. For example, that one scene of Dong Mae holding Ae Shin's skirt from the floor was so beautiful, disturbing and haunting all at once. If you framed it as a photo or a painting, it would be an arresting sight

I defn think it's successful in terms of the attention and the international reach. But, in terms of ratings, I'm sure that all the people working on the show must be disappointed. It should be constantly at double digits by now. Especially when you factor in all the sponsers and PPL in correlation to the low ratings

Quite suprised because normally such female characters don't appear in KES drams. Even Rachel from Heirs had more dept at this point LOL The second female lead in Mr Sunshine was so tragic and haunting

Agree with @Pranksalot that episode 8 was a defn improvement. It's unfortunate that the ratings fell even more.

The other characters are strong, especially Shin Jae, Luna and WDH. I have a feeling that because of the missteps of the earlier episodes, people have stopped watching but hopefully, they come back especially since TWOTM ends next week. Kim Eun Sook's world building may leave something to be desired but the story seems to be picking up. It's just sad that the love story feels very forced(and I thought Goblin was sudden lol) even though the actors are doing a fine job. The writer's usual sharp dialogue seems lacklustre also. People have a strong reaction to this drama because with the amount of star power and effort you expect to be wowed but overall, it's a oh and a huh at this point lol

They deviated from doctor foster but you are so right! It's very well written haha my blood pressure goes up and down watching the show. I love how all the main characters including the son and his friends are all in shades of grey , and not black and white

Sorry, I was going off by its wiki description where it was named the 12th highest rated drama in cable television history. Maybe because for cable, that's considered high I think

I don't think it had that much intimate scenes lol but defn a few. I think the ratings are high because the emotional whiplash from each episode is just exhilarating and exhausting all at once. Plus, the writers make you very invested in the characters

If I'm not wrong, Hotel Del Luna had good ratings
