Title A Shop for Killers Spoiler
🤦🏻‍♀️will there be season 2 ? Because many things were left unanswered.Questions - 1. If jung jin…
1. Jinman coming for Bale doesn't mean Bale wouldn't defend himself.
2/3. Valid questions, unanswered so far.
4. The customers only followed the "protection" rule because Jinman was still alive. Once he "died" they didn't need to follow the rule and be loyal, they could just go for the money Babylon offered. Especially considering the fact that it was not obvious that she would take over. They just thought the shop was done for and so protecting her was just out of the goodness of their heart at this point, so why would they ?

I think he didn't want to train her to much to not impose his lifestyle on her. Bale is his mistake, not hers. He wouldn't have been able to explain her training without telling her about Bale and so what's the point then if she just lives in fear? He probably wanted to give her a normal life and not make her a killer like him. She can fight but she's petite and not strong, there isn't much he can do about that. She can shoot at least. At the end of the day, no amount of training would be enough against mercenaries like Babylon and he knew it.

okay, if there's a season two, then it could go like this:1. we see Pensin taking care of Minhye. She's 100% alive…
I don't think there is much more to add to the story that could justify a second season. All can be put in 2 episodes max, except if they do a mini mini season 2, it would only drag the story unnecessarily.
The main story was about her fending for herself while killers try to get her, she did that (with help), that's it. Maybe that's all they wanted to show us ?

Title A Shop for Killers Spoiler
I was so afraid that they were going to make Jiahn be really good at killing and fighting despite facing literal killers but they did really well when it comes to her defending herself without it being too much.

Bale was always going to come back and when he did, Jinman knew that he wouldn't be able to take him down while protecting his niece.
So from what I understood, the long plan was to have her learn to defend herself + have people back her up for when Bale finally decides to come back. That's why he built the mall. He grew a clientel that, if needed, would put skilled killers in her corner (the customers, who were suppose to defend her when in danger). Of course he didn't planned that they would turn on her when Babylon put a bounty on her head, so them backing off was all her, which is really nice.
He obviously could have trained her from the get go but I assume he didn't want to impose his lifestyle and mistakes on her and probably wanted her to have a normal teenage life, without living in fear of Bale.

We all guessed that he was not dead because, suicide, really ? He went off to kill Bale, there is not more to the story I think. Maybe we'll get a season 2 but I don't think there is enough material for it. There is no need for more than 2 episodes to explain his plan and what he did since his fake death. Anything more could drag the story.

I'm also surprise that we didn't get to see Bale at all in the present time.
If there is no season 2, the reason might be that the main story was about her chosing her path and getting out (or not) alive from the whole thing. We did get that, so end of the story I guess ?
I also wonder why the order changed from "dead" to "alive" when it comes to bringing in Jiahn. Maybe once Jinman took out Bale he's the one who changed the order to make sure they didn't kill her ?

Well that was disappointing.
We haven't had a good thriller in a while so I was expecting a lot from this one considering the cast, that's probably on me.
It was fine, not great, still watchable, but it won't stick in my memory.

What I like the most in a thriller is the logic. I love smart criminals. I love the reveal of how the killer was able to do this and that and not get caught (at all/earlier). Here they just delegateted it to "luck". Luck is what allows Lee Tang to find guilty people and luck is what allows him to get away with murder. Or superpowers, call it whatever. I hate that in a plots. They used luck a lot in "The glory" which is why I didn't like it as much as other people.
I need a story to be well written, for a lot of thoughts to be put in every step that the characters take. I didn't get that here so it's very average to me.
I'm in need of another "Mouse" or "The king of pigs" type of kdrama.

Still, the directing was amazing and the actors did an excellent job, great cast also. 7/10

There is a saying in arabic " if it wasn't for different tastes , the goods in market would gone bad" I loved…
It's average compare to other thrillers we have seen before that were way more exciting and had a better story. It's not bad, but it's not incredible.

Yeah same, they are acting like her having to fulfill her marital duties is not an important issue when it is. You spend 15y thinking you're never going to have to be intimate with anyone and in one day they put a man in your room, I'd be freaked out.

I think it's because it's been too long since she even cared or attached any meaning to the meaningless mourning.…
I know the mourning is not real but she is still expected to do it and her long days as a widow are longer than her half nights as the mask man. It's still a life with little freedom she had to lead for 15y, that's part of the reason she jumps the wall every night for a few hours, on top of helping people. Of course she has accepted her condition by now, but still, like you said with everything she learned so far, learning that her prison like life was not justified since her husband is not dead should be the last straw. It would be for me.

I'm disappointed at Yeo Hwa's reaction to learning her husband is still alive. If I had been stuck in a house for 15 years, without being able to "officially" get out and spent my days "crying" and "praying" for a stranger, I'd be pretty dumbstruck, pissed and sad to know that it was all for nothing. I know there is a comedy tag but still, that's 15 years of her life, I'd mourn every single year I spent locked up.

Title My Liberation Notes Spoiler
I just finished this drama and I have no idea what it wanted to convey... either the messages are too foreign…
You meet the characters at a certain point in their lives and then the show has to end at some point and so you leave them at another point in their lives. It just so happend that we meet them and follow them through a period where they get to grow. There is not "plot" per say, like you said, slice of life. If you want a bit more plot, from the same writter you have My Mister. It's still the same vibe though, slice of life and all. Excellent kdrama.
As for the whole "it's fine to love an alcoholic", most people are alcoholic in SK, the alcohol consumption over there is a real problem ... But that's beside the point, really I don't think there were any message that the writter try to convey, they both like and accept each other the way they are, flaws and all and that's it. Maybe it's a mistake, maybe it's not, life will tell but we won't be there to see it. People are broken and it affects their life choices, some people can relate, some can't, that's fine.

Well, its either you're nice or you're not. Maybe being nice can make him backslide on his resolution to move…
Idk about other but I 100% understand that DH feels the way she does and that it's hard on her. She wants to get back together with him so being ignored like she is some stranger, see him go on dates with other women, interact with them while he actively avoids her must hurt a lot. We can even see how whe always tries to find a way to cross his path by lingering in the upstairs "living room". The messages are her only way to commumicate with him since he avoids her but her messaging him also nullify all the efforts he puts into trying to not interact with her. Both of their feelings are valid.
Maybe he uses harsh words because he is frustrated ? Idk, but I get how it's something that can annoy you considering he's been with her for so long.

Well, its either you're nice or you're not. Maybe being nice can make him backslide on his resolution to move…
The point of the show is to meet new people and move on if possible. He broke up with her and wants to move on and she called him to the show. He expects her to at least try to meet new people and she isn't. It's not helping that he still has feelings for her, so to see her not engaging with anyone makes him feels bad and guilty.
All their adult life was spent together so it might be hard for him to engage in casual conversations with her the same way others do with their ex since their history is too long. The others don't see their whole life when they look at their ex. So he keeps his distance and ignores her (also in an attempt to hide the fact that he is her ex?) to try and move on. Or maybe because being in her presence is also very hard for him too. Therefore you can understand how her messages are not welcomed. They affect him.

I assumed he was probably type casted (is it the term?). Don't get me wrong, I like his AK hee, I stated so, but to ALSO have him play a character similar than his previous one is a bit too bad for me. Also I insist on the word similar, I can tell the two characters are not 100% the same haha.
Maybe they wanted two poor opposite characters to show the whole evil spirit thing but you can still have that without having the main be stoic and all. But then again, the character was written that way, I understand the choice.

You're obviously allowed your perception but I'm not sure about the comparison to his character in Weak Hero Class…
"I mean how many was can a quiet, stoic, and reserved character be played?"
My point exactly. He acts his character very similarly to his previous one and like I said, I wished to see more range from him.

ah, the evil spirit thing is interesting but the alter ego part was also new and fresh, it's a shame they didn't stick to it. Maybe it's harder on TV to make a couple out of someone who has 2 personality ?

I like well written kdrama. I didn't see the fantasy tag, is it to explain the flying thing or is there other aspect to it ?
