Arf, I really liked the first episodes' dynamics, but now that everyone is together I can't be bothered to watch it lol The problem I have with romance drama is that in most of them, they are not good at keeping things interesting once the leads are together and every episodes after follow the same direction. They feel like fillers, only there to just justify a certain number of episodes. The whole "hide the boyfriend" + "accident" trop had me rolling my eyes. It's good that it's not 16 episodes
lmaooooo the "he's the father by some twist of faith" team is looking like real clowns right now it's fine, we're used to it. I honestly didn't really think he was the father/husband, the first episodes are quite clear about that, there's no way the daughter did not recognize her own father (right?). Not every love story has a happy ending no matter how beautiful it starts, it's life, it happens.
All I want to know now is the why (if he is indeed not the father). Did he sell his soul to be a news anchor like hee-do's mom? was is foreshadowing all along?
"Two people first meet when they are 22 and 18 years old and fall in love years later when they turn 25 and 21." lmao they really had us thinking there was going to be a time skip!
I keep saying it but they built their relationship so perfectly well, they took their time and the fact that they actually aged make their love more believable than slow romance stories where only a few months passed between ep 1 and kiss-ep. Next week we say goodbye, life is a cruel.
"romantically makes it weird for you" Their relationship is very pure but she's still in HS and he's a working…
they are at a point where they do have feelings for each other but because their relationship didn't start as a romantic one, it's still pretty much undefine. I think the dynamic of their rs and the clear age diff and life diff make NDH not be able to fully understand what they mean for each other but BYJ is an enough adult to understand that it's not rainbow or scissor, it's love, not matter the form it takes. People just don't want it to be romantic in a traditional way because of where they both stand in life. It is unsettling for some people that he could fall in love with a teenager who is still in HS (also because they might think that romantic love = couple, maybe? idk), that's why they want the skip to happend fast so that they can ship with a peace of mind
Some people are bending over backwards to make that confession not romantic and I still fail to understand how…
"romantically makes it weird for you" Their relationship is very pure but she's still in HS and he's a working adult, that's why some might find it weird and are waiting for the time jump to 21-25. Also her always mentionning how they are at different places in their life and thus reminding us of their age gap doesn't make it easier lol
So it took abt 9 episodes of punching down on NHD by KYR for KYR to realise what a great person NHD is. This must…
That's because KYR is not actually a mean person/bully. The circumstances made her do and say horrible thing to someone who didn't deserve it, but it's because she needed someone to blame for all the things going wrong in her life. Hating NHD was an easy escape because she didn't know her, she was a perfect stranger, so it was way easier than hating on someone she knows. When she realized who NHD was, she was able to "humanize" her since she actually knows her and it allowed her to properly realized how wrong she was for everything she did. It just shows how in different circumstances some people can be either great friend or big enemy. I however think she should have apologized in a better way
baek yijin really needs some friends who are not in high school lmao. i get it though considering these kids are…
I found them so cute because the writers really built their relationship in a really beautiful and natural way but I agree that the fact that she's still in HS is still so weird for me, like that info never leaves my head when I see them and I think "how cute"
Romance drama are not my thing but this one is so heart warming! Their whole relationship is so pure and not forced at all. The writers really took their time to build the romance, in the most natural way. You add the 90's vibe that remind us the confort of reply1988 and some "summer" color filter on every scene and you have yourself the most conforting drama of the year. I love it so much. It's the kind of drama that could have 30 episodes or more of just them and their daily interactions and I'd still watch it. Maybe they don't end up together at the end and you know what that's life, but whatever the writers are building right now is so beautiful, so cute, I love it !!
It's very true but I have had experiences with actor/actresses that I genereally didn't like in any drama and still liked them in 1 or 2. Most of the time it's because I think they lack range of emotions but if you cast them in characters that they fit their range of emotion then they can very much deliver. Which is why I never turn away from a tv show for on actor/actresses, just in case that one cast is the good one! Mind you that I didn't hate her acting at first in TOTNT but then the way they wrote her character pissed me off and it ruined it for me.
My aim was not to give a constructive criticism, I was just mindlessly sharing my thought on the actress, myy original comment was just me making a comment that was never ment to be that deep, I didn't think it would create a whole chain of comments lol People assume there is hate in every comment, if that was my aim I could have been way more mean...anyway.
If we have similar tastes I'll check your list then, I don't have anything to watch right now haha edit: never mind it's empty lol

Aren't the parent divorced in present time?
