Maybe because they thought it was leaving an opening for a 2nd season and they didn't plan on having one? apparently when the drama aired the ratings weren't that great, it was (if I'm not mistaken) airing at the same time as park bo gum's historical drama (that I personally didn't like) and since it was his first drama after reply 1988, people watched it instead of SHR
basically at the end, present wang so gave hae soo a tissue when she was crying (following the chinese drama plot that lead to the second season) but it was deleted in the korean version, we only know about it because IU posted the 2 pictures on insta when she thought it was going to air lmao
Before I watched it the first time, I was reading that most people were disappointed that the husband was not who they wanted. After a couple of episodes, I realised I wanted the husband to be Taek and really thought everyone did, so I fully watched it expecting the husband to be Jung Hwan, missing all the clues lmao. Well it was a pleasant surprise to see my ship sail when I deadass thought it was sinking. I'm rewatching the drama and felt like sharing that funny story :)

We watched the show....we understood the plot don't worry... It doesn't change the fact that we don't see the chemistry between both leads. IMO the writting of the ML is not it, they could've kept the same story but still make him more interesting.

He's annoying, he's like a leech, though a lot of the time, the plot just make him be at the right place at the right time. Idk if they did it to make him cute and have us love him or if it's because they didn't want us to be weird out by the age gap. Either way they're off together

Yep, you won't be able to watch the average kdrama now, you started too high haha But don't worry, even if there aren't many, here's a little list of "must see" kdramas that are as good as this one : mr.sunshine, reply 1988, flower of evil, extracurricular, scarlet heart ryeo (with the same main actress) none of these are the same but they will leave you as drained as my mister, and depending on which you'll like the most you'll be able to see what kind of kdrama you're into :)
