Also anyone please suggest more royal dramas apart from moon embracing the sun, tail of nokdu,100 days my prince…
Scarlet Heart: Ryeo is a classic to watch, I'm surprised no one suggested it I also second Mr.Sunshine that was suggested by someone else, the pacing is slow but really worth it
I know that deok im loves the king but I was hoping she would say “I love you” once to him. San have been…
The fact that she knew she would lose everything by being his and still chose to stay is proof enough that she loved him, I don't see how you could have missed that. She said she would never tell him she loved him, because the second she became his concubine, it was the only think left that she had (she still let him know that she had feelings for him before her passing though, she's not that cruel lol).
Can you imagine if the moment he reaches for the door we have a shot with the "real" him taking his last beath and when he decides to go back we have another shot of him releasing his last breath. What a great shot it would have been.
Anyway, I'm not fan of romantic kdramas in general, because it is usually so cheesy and the plot suffers from it a lot, but look at me rating this one 10/10.
It was so well written, the pacing was amazing throughout the airing, not one single miss. Every episode was gold. I just really enjoyed it so much! Their love story was so pure and the conflict of Duk Im about wanting her own life really held until the very end (literally asking for her friend on her death bed). Of course in the end she chose him, she still loved him very much and her choice proved that, but they made sure to still bring up that conflict until the very end. Any other kdrama could have discarded it the second they formed a "couple" for the sake of the plot, but not here. I love her character so so so much!
The omnipresence of death in the last episode made each of their death so bearable, they did that so so well (Unlike Scarlet Heart Ryeo who just slapped us in the face for no reason other than to mock and hurt us ><) !
Both lead were spectacular, I just fell in love with their acting, but in reality it's the entire cast that did such an excellent job, I wish I could thank them all in person for it. Every single one of them really gave us everything in their interpretation of their character, they were extraordinary. I heard ML was a k-pop idol, let me tell you I was shocked! Not all kpop idols are good actors, they usually are chosen for their look/fanbase but who can sincerely say that he was chosen for that? No one. This man is so talented as an actor.
To think we got to watch this for free... God really is fair.
This drama and our beloved summer are raising the bar for rom kdramas, I hope it will force scenarists in the futur to work harder on their plot.
Anyway, this drama really drained me, I feel very empty now, will be for a few more days also. Let's add this drama to the list of drama I will still think about in months/years to come.
I don't find her annoying? I think she's doing a good job, especially considering this is her first acting gig.…
I hope so, from what I understand of the summary she'll "save" him from the gov of her country. I think I was expecting a stronger lead for that kind of plot (like the female police officer) and founding a typical romcom kdrama shy/naive girl might have been a disappointment. Maybe I'm biased and her acting is actually very good!
I'm having trouble when she speaks with ML, should have been more precise in my question, idk if it's because of the acting or the way the character is written.

I have trouble with the character when with ML. It feels like she talks a bit like a baby around him. I'm only at EP2 so idk if the way she acts around him is part of the character yet or not, hence the question. I guess I'll see later.
