I finally finished all 40 episodes. I had a great time watching this, and discussing with everyone here it was a wonderful time!

The episode count used to scare me at first but i'm now used to it! I think Iwatch an equal amount of kdramas/cdramas and i like /dislike them for different reasons. But i prefer cdramas are a bit more because i think the plots are more unique and unpredictable

I think this is a very good kdrama, but since I've started watching costume cdramas, kdramas period dramas tend to pale in comparison. It's missing that pizzazz..Try Legend of Zhang Hai if you want something amazing

yes actually lol. I feel like the King was lowkey in love with Yoon Gap. (He still loves his Queen obviously) but he was VERY fond of Yoon Gap

If you want more historical dramas chinese dramas are the way to go! They have soooo many to choose from. If you want a beauty and the beast/romeo and Juliet type story, try Prisoner of Beauty. If you want a gripping revenge story try The Double. If you want a FL centric drama of a lady trying to make her way in a society that tries to bring her down try Flourished Peony.

Same I was enjoying it I think but it was way too gut wrenching and there wasn't really a clear plot

8.2 is a pretty good rating tbh, but there are only 2 eps out!
