Bawoo grew up without any parents to teach him manners and how to express himself or deal with his problems and…
There’s some logic in what you stated, however, although upbringing and education may play a role in shaping a person for better or for worse, it’s ultimately up to the person to choose how they want to impact those around them. There are those who went through what Ba Woo went but they grew up to be more compassionate and loving people due to empathy but there are obviously those who becomes ornery and toxic. Conversely there are those who grew in loving environments and grew up to be toxic as well. We might as well justify everyone’s actions based on their upbringing (good or bad). Might as well justify all the villains in this drama as well. Like I said, he’s the titular character and surely the writer will give him spiritual and moral growth. Thank you for sharing your perspective although I don’t completely agree
I prefer Hwa In with her brother-in-law. I feel like Ba Woo is such a toxic character, I know he’s the titular character and he will most likely go through spiritual growth but I can’t stop shaking my head at him in every episode at many of the decisions he make. He’s a toxic character but not an interesting one if you know what I mean but the actor who plays him is acting really well, too bad he was given such a boring, illogical character. Anyone wants to make a wager that they will make Dae Yeop a villain or a toxic character as the drama progresses so that we the viewers have to choose between the two toxic male lead characters? Lolz
The director said he planned to make it sad ending at beginning but then changed his mind “...but our world is tough these days so a sad ending will be so tough for viewers...”
I really like how the writer of this drama took the best parts of the novel and the folktale and put it into this drama. What a fun ride. I’m glad they don’t follow the path of most “serious” historical dramas for the ending. Acting was excellent all around in this drama! Production Quality was beautiful. The writing could be tweaked a bit but I blame it mostly on having only 20 episodes when it could have been longer.
This drama easily could have been a 30-50 episode drama with so much good material, but honestly it would have put the company in bankruptcy if they had to reshoot 30-50 episodes instead of 20 lolz
I love how the drama made Go Geun consistent with his love for Gajin. And I love the happy ending for the main couple, they followed the ending of the novel although differently. Great drama overall! Not perfect but I enjoyed it so much 10/10
Whoa! Is this directed at me?Calm down, eat a snickers or something. It’s just a show about fictional characters,…
No I was referring to a different comment if you scroll down.
They are allow their opinion, I’m allow my opinion lolz They are allow to express their disappointment, I’m allowed mine. Not sure why you have to target my comment at expressing my disbelief when others can express how they like. It’s truly double standards.
I read a comment that they want Pyeonggang to die. LOL oh my lawd. She’s not the one endangering the people. She’s trying to remove those dangers. The people that we should want dead is General G, his father, HMY, the queen, the other tribal leaders minus sunno tribe, assassin leader, and etc. The true villains one way or another will eventually attempt to wipe out the beloved ghost village. They can’t hide forever. It’s best to take the offensive position when possible and Pyeonggang is not a villain for providing them opportunities to protect themselves in the long run. Some of the comments here are comical lolz
As much as I want to like her, her saguek tone never change. She’s gorgeous and can act. But her tone didn’t…
I think so too. It sounds very monotone but overall talented actress. Her character is interesting but she stabs herself in the foot for stepping in so many different boats
This drama has so much going on, it’s kind of sad in my view certain people are only enjoying the scenes of HMY and General Go when there’s so much more. They are missing out but it’s only my opinion and it’s their opinion lolz
Hae Mo Young, this character has not once shown to be a good character. She always trying to save her own hide. I’m confused by comments saying the writer try to trick us. It’s realism, she had chances to turn over a new leaf but each time she consistently chose to be selfish.
I have a huge problem with people assailing the FL. People make it seem like she’s a villainous character who only goal in life is to get revenge. When did she ever said that? She constantly throughout the recent episodes expressed wanting to removed corrupted officials including the one responsible for her mother’s death. Her “getting revenge” is also in the best interest of the nation. Since he is one of the most harmful dangers in the kingdom. It really peeves me when a female character is getting attacked and dragged when other drama(s) characters, “male”characters have similar mentalities and demonstrated similar actions. Do people forget she’s a princess? Do people forget the people she is targeting are those who is harmful not only to those she loves but to a nation as a whole? How is she using people a bad thing? She can’t clean up a nation on her own, she needs help. And did she force anyone to do her will? They volunteered. It was their own decision to help. She’s a good character, a loving character, a generous character who put her life on the line to help others. Her friends who support her, yes they choose to support her, they believe in her vision and they also are willing to put their lives on the line for not only their love ones but for the entire kingdom. Enemies are lurking inside and out. If not the FL, who else? She’s cleaning up the mess. She galvanized people to fight for change. The sunno tribe hiding, that’s only a short term solution. You can’t hide forever. You must be willing to make sacrifices for the greater good. I’m PUZZLED at the comments here going after one of the most strongest and kindest character in Kdramas. How many times have we seen weak female leads? They’re either weak physically or weak intelligently. The FL here has both brains and brawn and compassion.
I’m too lazy to go back and forth. So don’t expect a reply lolz
