wow lotsa "Last Cinderella" fans here... I feel the voting is very... bias though I guess that is the…
So were mine :(, I think critical roundup and analysis serve better than votes. Votes only raise biases and give impressions that we are single-minded airheads who do not give a damn about how really good a drama or one's acting is. I even prefer some debates on quality of some dramas with empirical explanations rather than what we see now. Call me crazy, but this is what quickly comes up to my mind.
Anyway, I appreciate Joe for his effort, but it could be better IMHO
I think if the scoring point has a thing called "impact factor", this drama is the only one that deserves perfect score. If the maximum point is 10, then 1LOT is well into a dozen or even more

LOL can't agree more, Take Care of Us Captain is a train wreck. Miss Pilot may never be a masterpiece, but it's barely watchable in my opinion

Yup, the atmosphere they managed to create on the episode did caught my eye, it is definitely the best episode on the show so far. It does getting a bit soapy and obscure (like when one of the students cannot speak English at all LOL) afterwards but still tolerable. And I like that finally they got rid of "gazing to the sky" scene. They also flesh out Oda and Tezuka pretty decently, but alas the lack of characterization of other students disappoints me.

Folks on the ground are tend to complain no matter how good the conditions is, though. However, I cannot say that Japanese Dramas (as well as adaptations) are on the move. Of course there are more than few that stand out, but in a nutshell it has not improved in the last 10 years. Too much formulaic and unrealistic show (while it must be more intelligently written), over-reliance over outdated trick namely cheesy scripts, lack of creativity in the scene, marred with bad acting and some overpushes. If this conditions persists, they will easily be overrun by other Asian dramas in the future, moreover when someday the counterparts begin to gain creativity Japanese abandon in these years
I agree with some of your points like some animes cannot be made into live-action no matter what and some others need huge amount of money to be made with
Back to topic, I'd like to see Kungfu Komang made into drama series or movie, it will be crazy hilarious :)

Wow you've got a nice list to look at, you seem to be more an avid drama lover rather than movie one, don't you?
