I don't love an age gap but she's nearing her mid 20s so I don't really care at all honestly. We should all be way more pissed off at the dramas coming up with Ai Mi paired with Hou Minghao and the one with Huangyang Tiantian paired with Li Yunrui. Those are literal children being paired with grown nearly 30 year old men 🤢.

I just started this and while I am enjoying it I'm a bit disappointed in the tone. I thought this drama was going to be much darker and more serious. It's pretty lighthearted most of the time. It's not a bad drama at all, like I said I like it so far and I'm 19 episodes in. But from the trailer and the source material, I was expecting something very different.

6 is a decent score. MDL is just inflated to hell. On the chinese site douban it has a 6.9

Avenuex is so so hit or miss. She randomly likes the worst shit but is overly critical of decent dramas. Every once in a blue moon she's spot on, but I really have to take her opinions with a grain of salt.

The only people rating it are actually people who know chinese, there aren't eng subs. I wouldn't say the score is indicative of mdl taste at all with so few reviews.

Lakorn fans are really in the trenches. Kao is one of the most popular thai actresses for international fans and yet even her big dramas aren't subbed😩. This is like how it was for cdramas back in the 2010s.

It's alright. Kind of boring but not terrible. I am disappointed by just how shallow everything was - the acting, the characters, the plot. None of it had any depth. It's fine if you want something simple, but I felt like I was watching a show made for little kids.

You're right lol she's an objectively bad actor. Everyone always pulls out the "she dubs herself!!" as an excuse but she really needs to tone down her mannerisms and work on subtlety with her facial expressions. But she wasn't so bad that she ruined the drama for me either

For the love of god pls change her picture. Douyin makeup is so tacky, it makes these gorgeous women look drugged out. Zhao Lusi, Yu Shuxin, and Ju Jingyi do this kind of makeup all the time too and it always looks awful.

They should remake this with Yoojung and Jingoo now. They're both better actors than the original leads anyway. Hell, they were better actors in 2012 when they were still kids.

You cannot be comparing a fictional drama to real life. Like I'm sorry but that is so stupid to say that if you liked watching The Glory you should also support some random person on the internet accusing a celebrity without evidence. The false equivalency is crazy

I don't understand why they came out with this now when GMS is literally 30 years old. If it was because they couldn't stand seeing her be a celebrity, why didn't they do this years ago? There aren't rumors about her being mean now or difficult with people. It would be different if there were rumors about her STILL being a piece of shit, but I'm sorry her being a bully as a literal middle schooler means nothing to me. Kids do awful shit and it's not right and there should have been repercussions back when it happened, but now? Seriously? It's time to move on.

If you're able to use mdl you're more than likely able to use other american (or other international) websites. There are very few actual chinese users here, there's plenty of options for international viewers. It's a false alarm to worry when there are other celebs who have done heinous shit too but their work is still out there and easy to watch. Hell, even if you're chinese there are tons of options for streaming with vpns

Aw I've always liked Zhang Jingyi. She's got such a good attitude and personality. I'm excited to watch this drama

His stuff won't be taken off of international sites. I can still find Kris Wu, Zhang Zhehan, and Yuan Bingyan dramas/movies on plenty of legal sites in the US even though they're banned in China
