It's okay, but the original is definitely better. As far as korean remakes go though, it's definitely not bad. Probably the best remake I've seen so far.

Kids these days wouldn't survive the days of cdramas before the government capped the ep limit. You don't know…
I'm well aware of how many long dramas there used to be. I didn't name the shitty ones that used the episode length to add fillers and make more money. I listed ones that legitimately needed more episodes. The only way for dramas to be that long now is to cut it into multiple seasons.

Of course there are shorter works that can be well done. I wasn't disputing that. I'm saying the government shouldn't play a part in regulating this. Just allowing longer dramas doesn't mean that shorter ones can't exist. But outlawing them is ridiculous.

Also, just because you haven't seen a cdrama of that caliber doesn't mean they don't exist. The Story of Ming Lan, The Longest Day in Chang'an, Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, and Nirvana in Fire are examples of some amazingly well done and very long cdramas that absolutely needed their episode counts.

Person Ma Tian Yu
A few years ago he mentioned wanting to retire from acting. Maybe he's decided to slow down
Think he's burned out. He talked about not ever being able to live for himself.

Eh, government regulation when it comes to stuff like this is rarely a good thing. Yeah it stops some greedy showrunners from making wildly long dramas but it also fucks up creativity. Dramas that need the longer episode count like Lost You Forever lost so much momentum from having to split it into two seasons. Dramas like Yanxi Palace and The Story of Ming Lan were super long but legitimately needed the episode count. If they would have cut them down to 40 episodes, the quality of the storytelling would have been ruined.

Firsty, The drama is unnecessarily long. I seriously don't understand why they can't make or 15 or20 episode dramas…

I read on Tiktok that there comments on Weibo said the main female lead costume in this drama plagiarised main…
People are so dumb lmao. If it's the same costume designer that's not plagiarism, that's just his style.

I've seen RJL in quite a few shows but this is the first one where I really find him attractive. He's usually got such a baby face but idk he looks older here, in the best way possible. Li Landi is killing it, as she always does. She's one of my absolute favorites of the 95 flowers yet she's so underrated.

I just realized he is in a wheelchair. If he is in it through the whole show, will this be the first handicapped…
He's standing in most of the stills so I doubt it lol

The first half of this drama was perfection but the second felt unnecessary. It is as if there was a 16 episode…
That's my problem with most kdramas. No matter how good of actors, premise, production, etc. most kdramas tend to be dragged down by the stupid 16 episode quota. They have to write in a formulaic way in order to hit plot points by certain episodes and it cheapens their dramas.
