She is brilliant and has been since her debut. It makes me so sad she's not more popular. Royal Nirvana is probably my favorite work I've seen of hers, she performs with such intention in her acting. I hope this drama really boosts her popularity

I love to see LYN with LYT here. She puts her all into her projects and doesn't half ass with chemistry and intimacy. LYN is really going to have a chance to excel with LYT in that department.

Theoretically she should be fine as she was cleared of any tax related crimes. As someone said in a different comment though, I agree that someone has it out for SZE so if they were smart they'd release her dramas sooner rather than later. I also understand though that they put a lot of money into this drama and want to get the most out of it that they can.

They were probably just trying to get a general feel of the audience's reaction to the news and if it was positive they'd probably then continue with an actual plan with promotion ahead of time before airing. And if it was negative they'd probably shelve it for an indefinite amount of time until the controversy has time to cool off.

Exactly. I'm a big XL fan but this ending felt right. The characters stayed true to who they were from beginning to end and I so love this series for that.

No Wang Churan is still very much the beauty standard in China. Liu Yifei was the great beauty of the millennial gen and Wang Churan will be that for Gen Z(though WCR will probably never be as iconic as LYF, unless she gets a massive role that makes her a household name). The vast majority of Chinese viewers prefer a look like theirs over the cute actresses.
