Yeah I was thinking season 2 it's been like what 2 years wonder what happened.
I heard the actors don't want to/can't do it because of schedules and the fans don't want it with different actors so I think we're all screwed tbh. I still refuse to read the novel though in the 1/100th chance that we actually get a season 2 haha.
Wow. Even I was watching the two simultaneously. Literally GMP broke my heart to pieces :'(
I know, I'm so sad, I still can't get over it! I'm going to wait until the Legends gets fully subbed and watch that, hopefully it will fill the void Goodbye My Princess left :(
Does the main lead lern to take care of herself???????Can she defende herself?
Not physically. It's a realistic historical drama, there's no way a young girl at that time would be able to. However, she doesn't let anyone who has wronged her off and is a very capable person.
God, this is one of those show you really can't forget. It hurts watching this show and the hurt lingers afterwards. I can't stop myself from playing the ost and feeling the emotions over and over again. The actors, the costumes, the locations, the atmosphere, everything about this show was so beautifully done. This will probably be the best drama of 2019. Don't let the tragedy tag scare you off, if the ending was any different it would have done a disservice to this beautiful journey. Please watch it.
Goodbye My Princess would not have been what it was without her. I don't know if I've ever seen a more endearing female lead ever. While some of that is due to the writers, this girl's acting was so believable in every situation they put her in. She better get some amazing roles after this because she deserves them.
It shows up in episodes 1, 18, and 50 but only for really brief periods of time.
No problem:D I'm watching Legend of Yunxi and it kinda gives me similar vibes and I'm really liking it! But tbh An Oriental Odyssey was pretty unique lol I haven't really found anything like it.
Rewatching this while waiting for the last few episodes of Goodbye My Princess to be subbed so I can binge it. I only gave Eternal Love an 8 the first go around because I think I was jaded by all of the hype but it's so freaking good. Also I was really bored with Feng Jiu and Dijun's romance the first time I watched it because I was just too eager to see what happens with the main leads. Now I'm actually really enjoying our cute little fox princess's story line as well and can't wait for the Pillow Book ^0^
Is this really that bad? I know people are pissed because it strays so far from the source material. I've never read the novel and don't know anything about it, do you think then I could enjoy it? Or is it just plain bad?
ALRIGHT I just could not get through noble aspirations 1 because I did not like the character/acting of male lead.…
The only reason I finished it was because of ZLY. The male lead unfortunately never gets any better and the story's mediocre at best. It wasn't awful but there was nothing special about it imo.
When YZ offers YJ the divorce papers he starts warming up to her pretty quickly and is way nicer to her. After her cousin comes to visit he initially is attracted to the cousin but quickly actually becomes jealous of her and YZ's relationship. From that point on I've really liked him as a character. He's not the usual stoic male lead, he's a more feminine whiny and sometimes bratty husband but that's part of his charm imo. Hope that helps:)
If anyone is debating on whether or not to watch this because of the awful male lead, don't worry he gets MUCH better as the show progresses. I hated him with a passion at first but now halfway through I love him. Give this show a chance:)
its not necessarily a "sad" ending, to be honest. it was just HIGHLY disappointing. not a cliff hanger or tragic…
I took it as he died considering there was no explanation given for his sudden reappearance. I thought it was Buqi's imagination but I could be totally wrong. The writers really fucked us all over on that one.

I mean, considering everybody died at the end except the female lead I'd say it was a "sad" ending. Though the way they did it I really wasn't sad at all tbh, just mad at the lack of effort that the writers put into their shit ending. It had so much potential too, the three main leads had fantastic chemistry. The actors did such a great job, I hope they get paired together again in the future, but with better material to work with:/
