It's hyped cuz Song Kang and Han So Hee. Replace the actors and no one would even care about the show remotely.
Hear hear! TB was Gangnam cash in, similar story but less serious and more a very stretched out filler. Gangnam had a good pacing which is why the finale was one of rare satisfying drama finales.
Kim Sung Kyu busy = Kingdom Season 3 not moving forward yet. But good on him. He's terrific and hot af. I wasn't a fan of Kingdom:Ashin of the North cause it wasn't a story that needed to be told, but Kim Sung Kyu's character Yeong-shin is absolutely a character whose story is cinematic for a movie or even a limited series. I would love to see it and more of him in general.

considering abysmally low ratings, Korea certainly doesn't care. Maybe Netflix has better views but doubtful this will be among their biggest international shows. Haven't seen it crack Top 10 on any day while I've seen Ragnarok (Norwegean), Who Killed Sara (Mexican), Hit&Run (Israeli) on top 10 as well as German movie Blood Red Sky.

Yep, or shortest version, Vincenzo is a poster for Gary Stu. Everyone worships him but audience doesn't know why. Has a sob story that doesn't connect cause he's a d*ck yet no one on the drama thinks he's a d*ck everyone thinks he's an angel. His Mafia past is just a cosmetic without real impact created to make him special. He could have been a Korean gangster and nothing would change except that he wouldn't be special. His skills are superhero territory (including the super pigeon sidekick). No personality cause he is perfect. Most of the time, his "helpers" really don't help much cause he can do everything and is always one step ahead of everyone which kills the suspense. Etc,

I hear you. While I didn't totally hate Vincenzo, the character was a weak link too since all other male characters were more fun and compelling. A vacuum cleaner emotes better than Vincenzo. I've seen SJK in other stuff and he was fine but this character was more robotic than Shindroid from Are You A Human Too? who was actually too humanlike to pass.
I've noticed that Fls in general are way less likable than MLs. So I'm not surprised that female villains are less tolerable than male counterparts. There's something really annoying and charmless about many FLs so when that rolls over into a villanous role, hoo boy! However, I'll take a villain on either side over a character that we are supposed to root for yet all we want to do is punch him or her in the face. Example, Vincenzo's FL was so annoying while I really enjoyed all villains (Mrs Choi, Jang Jun Woo, Han Seung Hyuk, Park Seok Do and goons when they were bad).
Clicked on credits and more info for this series and it says not suitable for under 17 and that it has sex and nudity. FINALLY! About time K dramas become mature. Not all but Netflix ones should.
"heartwarming"
"punish people"
????????????? Something lost in translation, maybe?
P.S. So K slang for "pitbull" (as in an aggressive ruthless person) is doberman. Interesting.
