I thought about early episodes where he only slightly intervened with the bullies (making them kneel before FL but without stealing her thunder). Then when he let her go to the magistrate alone to safe the manager Yu. In the battle when he asked her with who she wants to fight. When he says I knew you come.
He knows her and accepts her which is great. Even sending a secret guard to help her doesn't negate that.
I haven’t watched a C-drama that genuinely kept me interested in a long time. In this one, there are so many scenes that really stir emotions.
I love the relationship between the main characters. They grew closer gradually, but steadily—without unnecessary breakups or misunderstandings. What I appreciate the most is that the FL remained self-sufficient until the very end, instead of, as often happens, starting off great and then handing over the reins to the FL.
And the ML is just <3 He may not have as many macho scenes as some are waiting for but for me he’s easily in the top 3 male characters in C-dramas. From the very beginning, he supported the FL without ever limiting her. He was honest and decisive about his feelings. I especially love those scenes where, despite caring about her safety, he doesn’t interfere with her being herself and doing what matters to her. A very mature relationship. And great watch.
I think I've lost interest in this. I'm on episode 24, and it doesn't seem that good after he discovers the truth.…
It was the same for me. I finished the drama but it wasn't entertaining to me after he discovered the truth. I didn't like how the story progress to him proving to her he really loves her. I expected something more. Also too much time was spent on the "I'm invisible" plot and the writer tried too hard to make it serious. Honestly, it felt to me they had to add something like this to the story to show the point that the filter was indeed bad and shouldn't be used for the censorship's requirements and not for the plot. So her disapearing was heavy but boring. Then there's the last episode of cuteness and that's it.
It was a nice surprise: solid feel-good watch with no regrets :) I'm not a big fan of any leading actors but it was a pleasurable drama. The FL's actress was super(over-the-top)cute but it was a little bit toned down comparing to her usual acting so it was bearable. The ML's actor has improved from the last drama I've seen him in (which was "Everybody loves me"). Probably the script helped. In the other drama the guy was super immature. In this one he's ok for a young adult. I liked the dynamics of all the couple, the family backgrounds were nicely done. The group of friends was cool and not boring with constant bickering or gushing. I really liked the 2ML. It was a good character in the story. What I didn't like was the whole mess of "I need to prove myself before we can be togheter". It would be much better if they were showed united and gaining the approval of the families. But maybe it was because the drama was supposed to be longer (so I heard) and they couldn't really show their process of getting together againts the odd properly. In the end it felt like typical noble idiocy. Still, I would reccomend the drama for a simply, yet pleasurable watch. I smiled a lot and didn't have to switch of my brain to enjoy the story.
I know that the end of each "persona" is brutal for TQ but he really brought it upon himself (as he said in the…
Well.. Dark humor is funny if you like dark humor. The same as fluffy is nice for people who like fluffy and boring to others. Also, if someone can imagine themself torturing someone until they beg for death (as emmagucci) then your not in a place to critize FL.
And if you defend such words in real life as a "figure of speech" you should be able to accept the way a fictional character is behaving... Let's call it a "figure of plot".
I think it depends on this how good will be FL's reason for hiding the truth. It's clear she went from one persona…
From her point of view ML actively didn't like her. She didn't take his emotions seriously in "Su Miao's phase" because she believed he only cared for SM's looks. Also, she is kind of lacking the ability to forsee the consequences of her actions and didn't think they would be serious. Everyone (even Gu Yu) expected ML to quickly forgot about Su Miao who he hardly knew and met only a month ago. After finishing off SM the FL was set on a certain road. She could go ahead (with more deception and more bizarre actions) or tell the truth (but she feared the consequences). It's easy in some dramas to tell the truth when FL or ML knows the other person loves them. But when you just found a job (after a long and difficult search), your boss just stopped hating you and you happen to deceive him in believing his attracted to someone who doesn't exist - then it's super difficult to tell the truth.
Finally have to agree with most comments, FL and SFL have been appalling, that last stint with the ambulance was…
I think it depends on this how good will be FL's reason for hiding the truth. It's clear she went from one persona to another to hide the truth about the previous one ( with the exception of FJ when she wanted to help and didn't expect TQ to get involved). If she has good reason to fear the consequences of revealing the truth then it wouldn't be so hard to forgive. A specially by someone who loves her.
Everyone's entitled to have their own sexual preferences, that include the physical appearance. The fact that…
Honestly, I don't get why you say she's intentional in traumatizing the ML. Clearly, they both have their reasons for doing what they do and both had some impact on how the story went. Also, we're only in the middle of the drama. We still don't know for what lesson the writer aims. If it was a real life, the guy who can get so obsessed ("in love") during one, fleeting encounter would need therapy from the beginning - just for being unhealthy obsessive.
If I was Tang Qi's sister in this drama I'd DESTROY Su Cheng Cheng for the trauma and pain she put him through.…
I know that the end of each "persona" is brutal for TQ but he really brought it upon himself (as he said in the last episode). If he wasn't so obsessed NOTHING would happen. SCC never wanted to use the filter for gain or deception. It all started with TQ's obsession with Su Miao and his relentless pursuit of her. If he accepted when the girl didn't contact him and live his life as before he met her then the whole cycle of deception would never start.
LOL, people on XHS are saying that TQ has a hard time figuring it out too because he is too science-based. All…
I also think it should make a difference when people judge FL as unconsidarate because of the whole "struck by lighting" plot. First thing: we don't need to judge who is the bigger jerk (FL or ML). But secondly: from the FL, her sister and friend's point of view it is all more a magical experience than real life. Even ML's behaviour (looking fo SM like the Prince for Cinderella, only with a gym bag rather than a slipper, then almost stalking the firend and SCC for news of SM) was unreal anc comics-like. Their idea certainly was over the top but it was consistent with the unreality of everything else.
At first, when ML's vision changed I was dissapointed but then it made sense to me.
When everything changed to black&white it was like some magic. I was dissapointed by the Deux ex machina solution. That ML is going to find out the truth not by some FL's mistake or clever deducation but because something is pointing straight at the FL. A specially when he could tell who entered the car first (which is inconsistent with the theory of his subconscience telling him something, because if he didn't know who enetered the car, then he wouldn't know it's FL and his subconscience wouldn't colour the car... but whatever).
Then it made much sense to me when I realised that two episodes before this I was wondering how is it possible ML can tell real Fang Jin from FL's Fang Jin by thumping of his heart but doesn't react to SCC at all.
Someone nicely pointed out, that ML is too biased against FL to realise the truth and now the conflict between his rational mind and emotional heart is clearly portrayed by the plot arch of black&white vision. Cool :)
Also, I don't think people hate her just because she's woman. There are similarities in her and RX's stories but…
But I agree she's not all black. There are parts of grayness in her. Similarly to Chong Zhao who was supposed to be all white but turned out to have a lot of darkness in him. It was surprisingly quick for him to turn into killer. So I'd say if you are looking for similar stories it's nor RX but CZ that has the same story. They are both trained to be one thing but end up doing something else.
Also, I don't think people hate her just because she's woman. There are similarities in her and RX's stories but…
That's why I said her story is tragic. But if she was really so good inside and only forced to kill by the circumstances, she would go for a clean kill without the games and laughs. It's not like someone is watching her all the time and she has to play the role of a tough demon.
He knows her and accepts her which is great.
Even sending a secret guard to help her doesn't negate that.

I'd say he confessed again and she run off (no swimming this time) 😂
