oh…I think this is the first historical drama i’ve watched where they actually consummate the wedding night…
I came here in the middle of the episode to coment on that. I adore them for not being shy or akward. The leads had chosen each other and now they smoothly go to being a married couple.
CXQ is gonna be a big problem, isn't he? Gu Jin Zhao can't have a moment of peace smh. I feel like the Chen household…
They can try. But she's been through this already (in her father's house) and came out the winner. Now, she's older, more experienced and has love and support of her husband. Her position is strong. She's going to win her mother in law over very quickly.
My only problem with this show is that there’s barely any romantic scenes or screen time for the main leads.…
I wouldn't call them "love interests". There's one friend, one cousin (and she has no clue he thinks different) and the man who doesn't even register on her radar. With the ML it was wonderfully showed how they grew close.
For example the archery competition scene? A masterpiece. I rewatched it so many times. It wasn't a typically romantic scene but at the same time it perfectly showed how good and mature their relationship is. They can challenge and admire each other, be honest and comfortable with each other. It also showed how much they understand the other one. For me it was much better scene than some kissing.
It's the custom that needs to be followed. Marrying the commoner was one thing. While it was something never done…
Custom can be a law-like thing For example: in the common law legal systems some things are regulated by customs and precedents. The precedents (previous rulings) are hard to overrule although they are not laws.
Please try to understand how the system works. The whole idea of the Crown is one big custom. With every rule, every custom you neglect you loose some of the kingdom foundation.
I think PM is bad now and he's plotting for real. Honesty, I hope for that because that would be less cliche. He…
I have an impression that he treated her so kind beacuse he thought they were similar. She was an outcast as the illegitimate child but has done her best despite the way the society treated her. He felt an outcast because he's the prime minister and is supposed to lead the country but still has to bow and listen to the child king.
This is not a Perfect Crown , it is Perfect bullshit. He want the throne , but refuse? He what to give others…
It's the custom that needs to be followed.
Marrying the commoner was one thing. While it was something never done before it was also done in accordance to the rules (with parliamentary agreement and everything).
Now there's going to be a change of the king which is always a shocking event for subjects, elites and international world. So it should be done by the book. Think about the refusal as if he had to go through some rites for three times, visit three different places or go through three procedures. It's a must and it's obvious he's going to be the king from the first proposal.
Look how he was all dressed up for the last proposal. Everyone knew he's becoming the king. There are just many steps to the throne.
Him staying there seems logical - it's difficult to cut the ties and he's just recovered. What I don't get is that…
Also, now is the first time I can actually imagine him being the born on 9th September saviour of the world. Not because of the power of cultivation but with rediscovered science and engineering.
What’s Bai Zongying still doing in that sect. He should have left a long time ago. 2 episodes wasted on bullying…

What I don't get is that every single member of the sect treats him so bad without any grounds for such behaviour. He wasn't bossy or mighty (in sense of no bullying and following the rules) so why they are so active in their show of contempt toward him?
It always amazes me when there are protests in the dramas. People spend they days shouting some nonsense despite knowing no details (just some online speculations).
Do people really do that in the Korea? Take a leave in the work so they can protest? Don't they have their own lives and problems?
The PM is hopeless now.. Is he plotting with Jinmu ? Or is there a twist that he is planning with Ian and fooling…
I think PM is bad now and he's plotting for real. Honesty, I hope for that because that would be less cliche. He caused so much harm just to get a redemption by helping in the last episodes. Please no!

So he thought they shared the goals.

Also I think there might a political motivation like going for the republic.

That's why I said it was obvious :)
