Nice drama. Quite engaging through out without dragging which is rare for Chinese drama. But few thing i didn't…
I was also bothered by the muscular guy. In first few episodes he was active, for example: restrained FL when she wanted to break the window or fighted with ML. And then he suddenly went passive. Why didn't he help when FL was being killed?
The reason behind the parents plan was the weakest part of the plot for me. You're right it was full of holes. It felt that the message was that the society was too harsh in their judgement and the Police too lenient/incompetent in their investigation. But, honestly, if the girl who took the photo was silent then there was no reason and no proof for the police to act. Also, from legal point of few the molester from the bus was only indirectly responsible for the girl's death. Yet, he was made into the biggest villain and the worst criminal (worse even that guys who wanted to exploded the bus with all the passengers).
Had the show ended at episode 12 instead of 15, I would have rated it a 10. It got predictable and therefore draggy…
Finally, someone who thinks the same as me:) I'd prefer it so much more if they were successful in the episode 12. This whole backstory with the MengMeng kind of ruined it for me.
The bus exploded after he killed that woman, who would believe them when all the evidence is lost?He will not…
After the fight, the guy grabs the FL hand and leaves the bus. Instead of taking the bomb away from the bus and proving to everybody it was a self defence.
The drama is really well built and interesting, but the ending is kinda off… the motivation to explode a bus…
Agreed! The parents were simply selfish and obsessed. If it was straight after the girl's death it could be written off as some kind of depression/mourning. But after 5 years it was a calculated decision to kill people because they were unsatisfied with the investigation's conclusion. Also, even if they had a proof of the guy harassing their daughter, they were in the wrong. The guy was sleezy but the drama made him the biggest villain, bigger even than the bombers!
The part with awards for all the passengers felt off to me as well.
Was there anyone who didn't feel sorry for MengMeng's parents, even for a tiny bit after all they have done?
The amount of sympathy/understanding they were given in the last episodes ruined the end of the drama for me. I felt they were rewarded for their crime. They wanted police to reopen investigation and it happened.
FL and ML has experienced the explosion, have seen all these people die. How could they be so understanding toward the parents?
There was a scene in which the dead girl's mother heard people talking about the pervert on the bus and then the scene in which the husband said there was no one there for her to be heard. I'd prefer if the writer made the mother unstable so she would creat the whole pervert story because she couldn't cope with her daughter's death. And the police a little bit more efficient so they could stop the bus and the bomb.
Also, pervert or not, it was MengMeng's fault to run under the track. It was even showed in the drama that the driver was trained to help her in this situation. But she insisted on jumping off the bus. It felt so wrong to justify her parents' actions when she was partially to blame for her death.
I must say in advance that I don't vibe a lot with Cdramas. I dropped many of them, and the two I finished got…
I share your sentiment. For me the story reached it's climax in episode 12. I didn't enjoy the whole back story of the villains. Also, it felt ridiculous how much information Police was giving away by answering phones next to the suspects🤦🏻♀️😀
It was obvious though, because they got out of the bus. They were the only two that were able to get out before…
I was dissapointed that it wasn't clearly established that no one else than ML and FL could enter the time loop. The guy didn't board the bus thus he didn't enter the loop. What about all the others? The ML and FL should make the rest of the passengers enter the loop to gain their cooperation.
I wonder how Lee Yoo Jin feels about being replaced in the role he originated?
I don't think he's being replaced. He was cast as previous/ongoing love interest. And I think he's going to appear in this minidrama in the same role as well. It's not as there's going to be only 2 actors in it.
Whether it is a regular Cinderella story or a "reverse" Cinderella story, it is still a fairy story. From my perspective,…
Well, maybe check some other esseys? Written by authors with recognition? I recommend "The revolt of the masses" by Ortega y Gasset. It offers commentary on negation of the pursue of quality, not only in cultural works.
The rating on MDL ranges from 1 to 10 to reflect all levels of quality. 10 is excellent, while 5 is still a good drama (if you know how to apply the scale). You can like the drama overall but still find some of its part ridiculous. It has nothing with the "absurd standards of lawlessness " and much more with a rational mind.
Enjoyed it more than I expected. The only problem was that the ending wasn't trully satisfying after last 3 episodes.…
I really didn't like the part with the dead girl. It was supposed to give an explanation for the whole explosion plan, I guess, but for me it ruined the ending.
Because, what? The villains were justified for taking such extreme measures? All in all, they reached their goal: the justice for the dead girl. Poor parents driven to desperation by the circumstances?
Honestly, this whole pervet thing wasn't enough to justify the girl jumping out of the bus in the middle of a 3lanes road. So the parents didn't have solid grounds for their outrage. (I had a misfortune to meet a guy like this on a tram once, simply moving away was enough, I didn't have to jump on the tracks because of him).
So to me, the parents got too much sympathy. Should stay villainous to the end. Also, the last loop wasn't even exciting to watch after so many repetitions.
Enjoyed it more than I expected. The only problem was that the ending wasn't trully satisfying after last 3 episodes. Still, I would recommend the drama.
Im absolutely loving this series but KYD's character feels one dimensional. There is no chemistry between him…
KYD is like this in all his dramas, I think. He only has few face expressions. He's good at distant and cold bickering. But any other emotion and he's just staring intensely. I've seen him in 3 dramas and I liked them more in spite of him than because of him ;)
Honestly, I felt it's one these scene when you don't get the whole dialogue. It was easy enough to deny it and…
I think what's crazy, is that this fake marriage really is fake🤦♂️ I mean they didn't register the marriage?! So how did she apply for the benefits at work? Simple stated "I'm married"? No certificate, no other proof other than "hey, there was a party".
With this one thing the set up of the drama is ruined. If it's not registered, she could just photoshop some random guy and pretend she's married. She wouldn't get the congratulation money but also wouldn't create the whole mess of pretended ceremony and relationship.
Also, the marriage for the sake of benefits was controversial but ok. From the formal point of view the facts are important not emotions. Who's to check if they are really in love? But pretend marriage is a different thing. Frankly, it's a fraud.
Is she going to be forgiven because the management will recognise their mistakes in discrimination against unmarried employees? But a lie is still a lie.
I’m almost at the end of episode 8 but I had to come here for a second to rant because WHY THE FUCK WOULDNT…
Honestly, I felt it's one these scene when you don't get the whole dialogue. It was easy enough to deny it and she was only mumbling. I don't think she confirmed anything. It's just that he got another hint for his already raised suspicions.
i love son hae-yeong and how realistic and relatable her character is.. but why that being said, i don’t like…
Firstly, for whatever reason FL's relationship with the ex was kept a secret in their workplace. She even went to his wedding to keep the secret. Secondly, it seems that the ex was officially pursuing I-rin while with FL it was a secret relationship. If it was find out, it would seem FL knowingly dated a taken guy. Lastly, it's the ex's problem. It was never FL who was seeking contact with his wife. If anything, the wife went after FL. The ex should put a stop to their meetings. He didn't because he's immature and wants to have the cake and eat the cake.
Oh come on! When I thought the show is back on fire, they flood it.She didn’t mind asking a guy from convenience…
I agree on the "can you wait for me?" part. It was an awful thing to say to anyone. And quite arrogant, too.
For the family/company drama, I think it will all end up amiable. They already like each other. The brothers will be ok. The fight will be with the ex's wife :)
There's another twist to the story as the girl has missed her period. I wonder what they're going to do now. She didn't want to get married in first place. Now, there are two potential fathers. I wonder who's her other boyfriend. As the writer needs to prolong the misunderstandings between all couples to last for all episodes, I'm sure there will be some screen time spend on this.
When I read the synopsis and saw the poster I wasn't interested in this drama. After the great disappointment of "Love Next Door", I've given it a try out of boredom. It seems refreshing.
