Actually, he got an easy out in the end. I thought he was going to have to compromise about all the things he didn't want to do before (artwork, official work etc). But in the end...

I think it isn't love arc. He's still her friend. Maybe he gets a little jealous that he's no longer her closest male confidant. But it's not romantic jealousy.
Also, it was showed from the beginning, he and FL represent different views. FL tries to change the ML's fate, thus changing the history (stopping rebellion etc.) and live a good life. According to him, she should stay away from all these things and doesn't get involved (he often says about fate and predestination).
We could see how different was their approach when both of them had their own plans to break off FL's engagement. He didn't care if his plan hurts other while she was angry he was ready to hurt her sister. So now, he's again trying to do things he's style and make her follow him.

Also, I like this choice because I was getting worried that DM, faced with all these difficulties, will change according to her mother's suggestion. I didn't wanted her character to go bad.

I like it too. Although I was sad for DM, I think it was the best decision story wise.
As you said it highlighted the lead's strong relationship. Also it concluded that side story without anyone feeling dissapointed they got a happy love story.
And it's very consistent with the rest of the story: how you should focus on self-development. The guy was weak so he failed his wife in both lifetimes (even the one he loved).
The real villain is the weakness of character.

How old was FL in the book?

I'm sad she died but I also hoped she would curse him with her last breath. Let him know he let her down completely. But she was naively loving to the end.

I wouldn't call her coy. She doesn't tease, she's just oblivious.
Remember, although she has some experience (from the previous life) it doesn't mean the experience was good. In ep 1 it's clearly visible that while FL was the lady of the house it wasn't based on a harmonious relationship. She was fulfilling her duties. Maybe the sexual experience was so bad or so irrelevant in her previous life she just doesn't care about it.
Also, the ML could be more active. It's not like he's constantly trying and she denies him every time.

There's one thing I don't understand.
The stepmother obviously comes from a good family, her father is an important official. How was she romancing the FL's father as an unmarried lady? It's said to be a serious crime to seduce a noble lady. The father rather wouldn't have the balls to do something like that. So what kind of situation it was that the stepmother was close (and available) while his wife lived far away?

Yeah, but did you notice how often their breaths are visible? Even in some scenes that are supposed to be indoor. The actors had to deal will working in cold. So the budget probably was spent on the production but the crew suffered a bit.

I've watched whole first episode and now, I know at least, they won't be terminally ill throughout the whole drama.

But I got another worry: if the plot is about time travelling/changing fate, does it mean the censorship requirements will have some impact? Is a happy plot like this acceptable or it has to be a dream or something in the end?

I also didn't like the dynamics between the leads as a couple. It felt strongly one-sided, FL lost her emotional intelligence and because of ML's "you decide, I'll follow" she seemed selfish:( one episode of happy ever after would be enough:)

Even the romance as you describe it was lost in the last episodes of the drama. So the drama promised one thing in the beginning and delivered something totally different at the end.
As for the checking: it was aired recently. I wanted to see the rating after people who waited until it's complete watched it.

Gosh! Hope not. From some angles he looked much too thin in the "Love is sweet". Healthy people don't show so many bones in their faces. If it's worse here, it must be bad.

Totally agree. He was so childish! Throughout the whole drama he behaved liked a teenager. In the worst way of akward pursue, missunderstanding and overejelousy. It was too disturbing to be romantic. Compared to his best friend he looked so immature I dropped the drama. Unwatchable.

Honestly, I'm checking this page regularly to see if the rating gets lower/more real but it's still so high as if only the fans watched it. The whole drama is ridiculous. Starst simply and fluffy. Lost the fluff around the confession of the main couple. Then there's some "darker" moments of fighting demons and what not with nothing light or funny. Gets only worse with the ending which is overly complicated but not convincing. And open.
