It seems ML has already been somewhat romantically interested in FL. Now they are reunited as adults and there're already hints of her noticing he's a man now.
(Only why Jung Hae In looks so little like himself in other dramas? Have I not know it's him, I'm not sure I would recognise him.)
The mum is crazy and downright abusive (I can understand a smack on the arm in emotions but she was lying to get FL come back home so she could beat her with a spatula). It was very off putting and maybe that's the reason it was difficult to get in the drama for me.
Anyway, seems the second arch of the story is for the mum to see her daughter as a human and not a sum of achievements. Hopefully, appreciate her husband as well.
At this moment I don't care for the second couple at all but they are not annoying.

I really want to like it but I'm not captivated. I keep watching as it's not bad but at the end of episode 2 I'm not thrilled/excited to know what's next. I think it's really easy to guess what's next but maybe there's going to be a surprise?

You need to enter this fantasy land, other wise ML seems more like a stalker than a love intrest.
She hardly remembers him from school and was totally oblivious to him back then but he was in love with her all this time?
In reality he had no chance to see the high school-aged FL as a real person so he liked the fantasy version he created from observing her from afar. He could only start to love the real her after they got togheter as adults.

They declared they love for each other and then waited for ages to get a marriage certificate. In the end it felt flat when they get married (more like "finally!" than anything else).
I liked Zhao and Rao Jing so let's pretend her pregnancy didn't last forever (even if she's been 3 months when ML was transferred, he came back after 6 months and yet in the last episode she was still pregnant 😆)
Wasn't interested one bit in the third couple's story. To make an obstacle from the wealth is absurd and I hope the girl will find someone more suitable.

I really wanted to like this drama more but it felt lukewarm... I liked the beginning (although I'd rather they married as the synopis says) but then lost my interest around Tang's mess and then struggle to finish. A pity.

Aren't their story somewhat mirroring the main couple's?
Although the gap is bigger for the second couple, ML also is richer, better educated and has better prospects than FL. Yet, it's ok for her to move in with him and let him buy her a car. At the same time she continues to work hard and successes at work.

I liked the story but found myself skipping a lot of scenes. I liked how stable (character-wise) FL was. I liked the leads' relationship. It seemed genuine and was based on mutual comunication.
What I didn't like was the editing: why their foreheads were cut off in so many scenes? It was driving me crazy that only parts of their faces were shown.

It wasn't great at the beginning but seemed promising so I gave it a chance. It lost me somewhere in the middle part. I couldn't grasp the story line (that is, couldn't understand what the story is supposed to be about) and got tired of constant bickering of the main couple. It was supposed to be a slow burn but it seemed more like they couldn't communicate their feelings (even after getting married, twice).
To top it all ML's make up and hairstyle seemed off for some reason and he looked funny instead of handsome (shame, as I know he's handsome).
In the end I dropped the drama. I probably could finish it if I was really bored but as it is I didn't want to loose so many hours on it.

I've dropped around episode 10. Came back to see if it got better but from the comments it seems it didn't 😅
Says a lot about the drama that after 10 episodes I'm not even interested in watching the last episode.

I feel bad for the FL's actresses because they acted well but it wasn't enough to make a bad story into a good one.

Yeah, it makes (some) sense for FL to fall for ML with whom she works and meets often. But how did ML fall for FL is beyond me.
Even if, as some people comment, he's been interested in her from the start, their later interactions were rather superficial.
The closest moment happened when she drunk dialled him and then suddenly it's ep 10 and they're seriously in love (while unable to communicate).🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm not sure but maybe it's because of the dragging in the last few episodes? Older FL got all the action while younger FL was mopping and going around drunk.

Luckily for him, he's the lead so everything he does is ok and not creepy at all :)

Maybe they plan to make FL successful for once and let her keep the charade up till the last episode.🤣

I gave you a definition of stalking so you can compare the (real) stalking with actions of both ML and SML.
That's the difference between facts and opinions.

If you felt offended when someone said you're nice it wouldn't be a slander just because you felt bad.
You can feel however you like but there's a measure by which you can judge whether it's "wrong or no".

If you feel that SML's actions are so disturbing, it would be logical to feel the same about certain actions of ML.

Personally, I also don't like how hard SML is coming on to FL. But I can see a difference between him and a stalker (who, by definition, is a criminal).

I think the point Claddag was trying to make (although I don't understand the beginning of his comment) is that SML often gets criticised for things that would be defended if done by ML.
You provided excellent example. ML can be rude (aka cold) and try to make someone quit their job and it's ok. He can come late at night to FL's house and ask her personal question while being almost stranger. It's ok.
SML can't go after FL and offer her a ride or eat with her without being called a creep. And they were presented as friends or quasi-we're ar work- friends.
If they were ML's actions it would be called flirting.

Read your comment again and you'll see it says: it was ok for him to make her job difficult because he stopped when she's proven herself to be better than expected from anyone at her position.

There were scenes when she has kissed him first. I think it showed progress of their relationship well: from him taking the initiative and her unsure how to react to her being comfortable with hugging and kissing.

That being said, it really is silly how long a woman who's 22 years old was showed to be uncomfortable with physical attraction, even if it was her first relationship.

Note, that I used word "uncomfortable" meaning she is unsure how to react/what to do in the situatione Not uncomfortable in a creepy way of having to fight of unwated caresses.
I think you don't see a difference between them. The only time she has dodged his kiss directly was in the public space.

It's a nice watch for sure if you don't mind there's no big twist or gramd gestures. Mostly they hang out while working and eat a lot. Also, there's a lot of music/singing.
The story is slow and so is the romance but it's ok when you expect a romcom with no drama.

What I didn't like was
- the constant bickering of secondary actors (in second half their constant jokes and teasing grew tiresome),
- how accomplished (in everything) everybody was, especially ML, it was simply unreal,
- in comparison FL seemed to just go around and hang out with right people so her brilliant work got an easy debiut.

All in all, it was sweet but could be shorter and have some great gesture at the end.

For a moment, when I saw the photos. I thought it's the same actress😅

Whatever it's going to be, I'm not even slightest interested. Total pass for me.
