As arguments go, saying that this is a married life because yours is similar makes a weak point. Others marriages look different. What I was dissapointed in was a lost chance to show how they could not only cope with the situation but also progress with their relationship. What we got instead was a lunch of the rocket 🙈 And the main couple seemed exactly the same as 5 or 7 years before.
the "nobel idiocy" you talking about is for his parents who is aging and need tremendous amount of money to maintain…
I thought the noble idiocy bit was about the ML rejecting the FL because "he has nothing to offer her" and I agree that this arc was the lousiest part of the story.
I've written a post below about it. There's no change in their everyday life from the moment they get together to the moment the drama ends. It wouldn't be a bad thing if I believed they have reached the top happiness. But it doesn't seem like this. They are constantly busy with work and have little time for one another. It seems they are going to stay this way for the rest of their lives.
Maybe it's just far from my personal idea of happy marriage but I felt somewhat dissapointed with the ending.
The leads are beautiful and have great chemistry. The drama sure has a lot of cute, fluffy moments that make you…
They got together and were happy because while ML's work was demanding (but important, propaganda much😉), FL was also always busy with her work and such a relationship worked.
That's what was showed after the first time skip (2 years). Let's not get into details and dwell on the fact that she has spend less than 2 monts in the same city as he (it was said in one of the scenes) which would mean they were hardly able to see each other.
But in the end (another time skip, of 5 years which gives 7 years of relationship) they continue to live exactly the same way. With one difference: they are married now.
It feels they are going to live like this for the rest of their lives which for me didn't feel romantic or happy.
Did I missed something that was pointing there was going to be a change in their life some time later?
The leads are beautiful and have great chemistry. The drama sure has a lot of cute, fluffy moments that make you smile giddily. But there's also A LOT of scenes that are really skippible, like the gaming, ML working (there are few episodes of him being at work in which there is not even a single scene with FL).
But what bothered me the most was the ending which didn't feel as happy as I expected.
I see it's highly rated but I got bored quite quickly. Maybe if I watched it while it was airing it would be easier to finish.
I really liked the idea. I liked the setting, I liked the acting, I liked how they were making fun of rom com clichés.
It's just that when the second guy gained awareness, I couldn't help thinking that they all will slowly gain awareness while still being forced to play their parts in the comic's love story. The repetitive "gaining of awarness" seemed boring to watch and watching someone being second lead without consent seemed akward and intrusive.
I totally lost interest in that moment. It's one think when FL is forced to give the heroine some milka or pass a book. But being force to romancing? Sadly, dropped.
I hoped the ML was so domineering because there was a backstory of him loving her from the beginning (or even before the period shown in the drama). Then he's manipulations would make sense - that he wanted to force her to get close to him (still bad but at least with some sense in it). In the end I lost the hope and was left with a story of a guy who takes everything from a woman who saved his life and is disappointed when she refuses to give up the rest of what was left of her.
It's funny, but too over the top for my taste I think. I got about 1 1/2 episodes into it before I dropped it.If…
I've dropped after the 4th episode. It's really over the top. It was over the top from the very start but I hoped it was going to be chaotic but good. I liked their take on Cinderella story and the way they use the narrator. But after there have been new characters presented it got too cringy for me. I just can't stand the 2FL. She's awful and always angry. The ML is in denial that fails to be funny. Also (as it's only 10 episodes) the rest of the plot is rather clearly shown already and I don't expect the drama will get much better.
Um FL is annoyingly childish cuz she literally is one. She was primary, then secondary school in the first few…
Well, let me rephrase my question then... For how long does she stay a child in the drama? Is it all showed from her point of view? How much of the story is about the "grown-up" romance?
It was quite a nice watch. I liked the banter between students. But while ML was handsome and dashing it was a little annoying how he always solved all the problems before they were even presented to the audience. And actress playing FL just wasn't right. She was so thin it was disturbing to me. Also FL felt a litle detached from the reality. In the beginning it was supposed she is quite a genius (thus lives in her own world) but in the end she was just following ML and didn't get to achieve anything special. Even in the game's super diffucult mission for the best couples she was reduced to waiting for ML to find her.
Surprisingly yet, I finished it thinking it was something nice so I guess there have to be a lot of good moments:)
When does FL stop being so annoyingly childish? Is her love one-sided for most of the drama?
I've seen first 7 episodes and it's been rather slow and boring. I hoped it would get better soon but there's still mostly her one-sided crush, bratty or immature behaviour and a lot of "hidden" agenda about studying hard and obeying your parents.
I was thinking what will fill the gap now that Lovely Runner is complete? Looks like this drama and The Atypical…
Cinderella theme is my guilty pleasure :) Although I like it when there's some twist to the theme. And in this drama I love how she wants to be Cinderella because of all the cynical reasons (money, rent, debts etc.) rather that some romantic notion.
Firstly: the rating is based on votes from quite a lot of people so I think it clearly shows their preference.…
Well, I'm new then :) and while I like all the info about dramas and option of commenting, I really would like for the ratings to be more varied. I just feel that the 9 rating means something while there's hardly any difference between range 7-8. Actually, ratings around 7.5 means the drama is probably below average. And the scale is from 1 to 10! So an average drama should be around 5 :(
Sorry, for the off topic. It's just that the whole rating system kind of sucks 😅

So maybe that's why he's not yet famous.
