I can't remember if I watched this when it first came out. Or maybe I didn't finish it. Trying to watch it now…
Totally agree with your point it is tedious in how they portrays it but I can understand why joo won still sees dong shik like that because even if he's not the killer joo won sees him as the key to everything because he truly believes and rightly so that dong shik is protecting everyone else. dong shik was really wrong in how he tried to handle the killing but he didn't know.
absolute masterpiece on almost every single façade. the serial killer in this one is one of the most interesting I have ever seen. a true serial killer in his demeanor and mindset. I absolutely love how it didn't change in the last episodes to be action packed show. it stayed true to its identity as crime-solving and police accountability drama
the one thing I found it fells short is the stagnation of the interactions between Dong shik and Joo won, I get they're enemies but how their interaction is presented gets really boring by time. they stand up face to face joo won talks while being smug, dong shik smirks while replying, joo won gets mad grabs him, dong shik smiles and walks away. this same type of interaction lasted for like 10 episodes or so. it gets really redundant.
still holds up well when rewatched. I still love how it holds up in the last two episodes, it didn't turn out into a full blown action drama or anything extreme. started as a time travel crime solving drama ended up as a time travel crime solving drama.
I respect the kdramas that are not hyperaware of their run time and viewership and won't try to keep the viewers for a last episode by having twists at the end. smooth sails from the start to the finish, I love it
Everything was perfect until the last 3 episodes. I kinda guessed the killer from the start and when the killer…
I agree with you in many points I just to point out few things - you'll be amazed of how many serial killers BELIEVE they started killing because of their mothers, and most of them have really severe childhood instability and neglect by one of their caregivers. - ML knew he saved himself when he met his son no need to show him double check as it'll take away the value of the scene of him knowing he was saved by seeing his son.
my 3rd rewatch and still an absolute masterpiece, masterfully crafted plot and beautifully shot visually. everything is almost perfectn from the characters, the setting, how the plot and objectives keep changing, even the romance was really sweet and coherent. and in my opinion the cherry on top is the length, if it was a full length show it would've lost its taste.
that watermelon scene in ep7 still brings tears to my eyes
absolutely phenomenal actor, even if he shines in emotional scenes, I found his character demeanor too good, even in roles like in flower of evil with the most bland cop character he presented the character differently.
It'll explain everything as the show progresses, just finish the show first and put your thought in comment AFTER…
I am talking about how evidence room is left alone with door open, suspect in hospital without guards, police stations are run like a highschool club with no rules or etiquettes, etc etc the plot constantly progress through absurd rules/coincidences. what happens in the show is interesting but how it happens is really lazy. also love the microscopic seoul phenomenon of everybody knows each others, there's one hospital one doctor one neighbourhood one police station one detective, one reporter.
nothing against anyone who enjoys it, but I grew tired by episode 9
3 episodes in and I have no idea why this has 8.9 score. almost none of it makes any sense, accepting the psychopath genes is one thing, but accepting how that police works, how the hospital works, how the amusement park works, basically everything up to now does not make any sense or whatsoever. its like someone with grandiose idea wanted to write a story but had no idea how anything works in korea.
because of the absurdity of the plot, I have to constantly stop myself from asking how and why in a show where it clearly wants you to ask how and why.
after rewatching this, not only it became more outdated visually but the whole non-romance plot have more plot holes than a swiss cheese. some things are just so absolutely absurd they are pure comedy. still has no idea how this is 8.7 score.
after my 4th rewatch or so, up to episode 10 it was absolutely perfect. from 11 onwards a lot of hit and misses like 50-50%. episode 1 to 10 : 9.9/10 episode 11 to 14 : 7.5/10 episode 15 & 16 : 6/10 second half dipped in the story a lot but was carried mainly by the breathtaking performance of the villain.
It is quite refreshing for a Kdrama, the realistic characters, the FL without fillers or botox, her wavey hair…
Same, I have been watching jdorama exclusively for like 15+ years, only last year I started getting into k/cdramas. and I loved every episode of Run on. Though I have to say with time I found that cdrama are more similar to jdorama than kdramas.
I am really sorry, I double and tripple checked all the websites I remember it was on it, only to find it is not available anymore. I will keep an eye for it and if I find it I will I will give you the link. meanwhile becareful of fake/malware websites, a lot of them are recently targeting drama fans. they know we don't find everything we are looking for.
I just don't get how they can skip 6 months midway when all of the major arcs were in tense situations just because a character has to give birth, a very big turn off for me, not sure if I'm going to continue this.
I totally get that feeling 😣 maybe they have too much free time or people are becoming inheritly bad, I mean same I'm here for entertainment and trying to be positive, work and life in general is hard enough nowadays to be always on edge even on a purely entertainment website like this. really thank you for your honest kind words, I really really really mean it when I say they were very much appreciated 🥰
you're very welcome! sharing is caring! especially since there are a lot of fake websites with lots of intrusive ads and potentially viruses. feel free to ask anything Its my pleasure to help as much as I can
sadly the Jdrama are scattered a lot, even if you have an account in drama-otaku or avistaz there are still dramas you won't find, sometimes you have to deep search google and maybe you'll find a tumblr/twitter fansub that you need to send a request to be accepted so they givee you the links. But onetouch, dramafull, asiaflix.in, myasiantv.tv can cover most of your needs. Also there's a good website that act as a library for websites : https://everythingmoe.com/section/drama you'll find a lot of safe websites here (not fake with viruses), and gives you the pros and cons of each website.
I just tried it and it works, maybe it was a server issue from their part or maybe browser issue, try running incognito mode. you can try dramafull.cc I think the version there have a much better quality.
