Title Life on Mars
an absolute masterpiece of a drama on every single scale and metric, from someone who's heavily invested into crimes/criminology this show really really exceeded all of my expectations, and my expectations weren't low.

Was not expecting this movie to be as good as it was after reading the manga and watching the anime, I didn't…
that's what you expect from the greatest nogi akiko sensei, even if you visit her most imperfect work you'll never come back empty handed!

On Don't Call It Mystery: The Movie Dec 22, 2025
its so inferior compared to the drama.

the drama with each arc had a very unique cast of characters that clashed with each others so each party reach a certain objective.

this movie is basically a blob of information dump (I don't want to spoil), some "characters" who can't be defined neither by personality nor by personal objective (unlike the drama) reacting to information dumps, its a series of exposition after exposition after exposition, think of it as some people blindly reacting to a youtube video and totono is analysing and explaining the whole video to them. that's the movie in a nutshell.

I enjoy it because of totono's character and the setting is really beautiful.

easy 4/10

I don't get all the hate the ML is getting, I wish we had more people like him!!!

people like him will burn all the fossil fuel available on earth and we still won't have global warming or air pollution, this guy does barely exist in the world he's in that I really doubt he consumes oxygen when breathing like the rest of us, its a story about time travel but I don't think he exists in any timeline, he doesn't have any impact or weight that even gravity-chan itself can't detect him.

as a human being he can be the solution to most of today's world problem! all hail hasegawa-kun

an absolute masterpiece, if it was korean or chinese it would've been rated 9.0+.
the characters the setting, the stories, the dialogue, the absolute dialogue is second to none, its engaging its thoughtful its realistic, its fun, its absolute comedy and finished with a perfect ending.
this dorama is second to none across all the countries in its genre and subjects it dealt with
I come back to it every 8 months or so

I see Rain or Shine (2017) as the biggest recommendation for this drama, its funny and misleading, its like recommending muffins to someone because they like pasta, sure they are based on the same ingredients (eggs and wheat flour) in each of the two main leads suffered from past traumatic experiences, but its a completely different presentation and intended experience from both shows.
what you feel as a viewer is completely different through both shows one is very much based on clash and negative energy because of traumas and one is based on the understanding and being related because of said traumas. one salty/spicy and one sweet, totally different experiences
My personal recommendation for this drama
Korean : When the weather is fine
Chinese : Meet yourself

rewatched this after few years, still one of the best and most natural and heartwarming without being fluffy, its just realistic (maybe except the unnecessary scene at the end of ep8)

wow... i don’t know how Japanese dramas pull off slice of life so brilliantly. Definitely one of my favorite…
its a japanese so you have to add atleast +0.7 score, since this website is heavily k/cdrama biased.

Title 366 Days Spoiler
Sad ending, obviously she is going to die. Also didn't like how nonchalant the male lead was towards his own daughter…
this comment have like spoilers of 80% of the whole movie.
its sad and irresponsible to see comments like these
edit it to be spoiler

who controls the flow and the direction the story takes ?
the writer ? NO
the characters ? NO
the outcome of the games they played since its esports based drama ? NO
the side characters ? NO
maybe The Chinese Communist Party ? absolutely NO

its the netizens, yep every single conflict is created written directed and produced by some random comments which 99% are "rumours" but creates that out of nowhere misunderstanding.
you know a drama is very very very weak when the characters don't have any weight in the overall story, they are just there to be passive and reactive.

Title Doctor Slump
One of the very few kdrama that the viewer's age will be a big barrier to understand/enjoy it, I doubt anyone under 30yo can really get how that first career burnout syndrome feels in this show and relate to it.
not saying it can't be understood if you're 30yo but I wouldn't count on it no matter how many stories you've experienced as a viewer.

this is why you should stick with japanese dramas when it comes to sport, cdrama are not bad but biased.
in jdrama its sports that have specific type of drama in it that is centered about the specific sport, in kdramas its always heavy dramas thats flavoured by some sport.
who doesn't want to spend the first 5 hours seeing the vice principal doing the same evil schemes over and over and over and over.

I think both versions are good in their own ways BUT
koreans will bore you with 16 1h20mins episodes then only have like 3,6 seconds for the epilogue that should be the reward for all the drama and stress. while this 10 episodes had like 20-25mins for the epilogue.
