i dropped it at episode 8, i got bored. should I give it anothet try???
for most people (like myself) fluffy dramas requires a certain mindset and a certain mood to watch. just like sweet food, you need a certain conditions to really enjoy it, unless you're one of those people who eat sweet food 24/7 even in a dystopian apocalyptic environment.
I think this drama is good, instead of characters clashing and problems, its characters fitting into each others almost perfectly, imagine you're building a puzzle but everytime you pick a piece you know where its going, it has a different experience than trying to solve the puzzle which gives you headache, both scenarios has their pros and cons depending on your mood
such a great cute little drama, doesn't punch over its weight intentionally, delivers the messages and arcs that it intends to, nothing spectacular presentation wise could've been better, but really charming drama.
the single worst thing to do in writing in my opinion is not having a weak story or bland characters. its the whitewash.
the whitewashing of the FL is absurd, people compares her to hong cha young from vincenzo but she's not even close, she spent more than half of the show being as equally disgusting and treacherous as the person who killed priest gabriel.
The whitewashing I'm talking about is the constant shift to banter and comedy when she and the ML talking about the case so we as viewers will like her because "haha funny banter she's FL you have to like her trust me she'll be good later" no if someone helped not kill but worse tarnish the image of the only family you have you won't feel the banter or be for some reason drunk and cute around.
it was disgusting to watch not because she's evil but I was disgusted by the writer trying to sell me something intentionally made to be very cheap.
he blames himself for his parent's death, his brother escaped and left him with horrible step siblings and sister in law, his grandfather consistently gives him the cold shoulder like if he was invisible, he's slave working in his family's company, his first love was married to another guy even though she looked like she liked him, and the woman he likes is getting married to his brother for an unkown reason.
such a feel good drama, I bet if it had an out of thin air accident which result in an amnesia and war breaking out for the chairman position last few episodes like 129473265 other kdrama it would've had a higher rating but it doesn't.
not every flame has to go out strong before being extinguished, I like how this drama gradually ended, sure questionable decisions at the end writing wise but still very good ride to break off from the usual kdrama ending concepts.
Easily one of the best dramas I have ever seen. This drama shows how inaccurate the rating of this website. This…
Like every single entertainment field, there's an overwhelming majority, the overwhelming majority of MDL are stereotypes of kpop/kdrama , nothing wrong with being a stereotype its not a crime I'm a stereotype in a lot of things, but this drama has a lot of things that the overall stereotype audience hates. you'd see dramas with 8.5 rating just because of a kiss between two popular Leads.
Its scientifically proven that a korean writer will literally die if they don't insert love triangles. Except the nobraCEO couple, almost Every single conflict is created by/from a love triangle.
Seoul (서울), the capital of South Korea, its the world's smallest metropolis, where everything is reachable within 30 seconds, and only handful of real people exists, all the others are NPCs.
a character saw a live stream of a crime ? 30 seconds and he's there. half naked character training saw a live stream of a fight ? he changed and was there in 40 seconds.
You'll absolutely lose the sense of time and place in this drama, most of the characters were spawned at ep1 they can only think or suspect people that they newly met, and everybody met everybody because seoul is such a small city.
I feel like the drama was heavily carried by Lee Jun Hyuk's character, he was by far my favourite and most complex one, not to say that the Vigilante's character is bad but Lee Jun Hyuk's character WAS THAT GOOD for me.
I know the title has love in it, I know that 99% of people here are talking about the couple whether they are toxic or not etc.
BUT this drama is imo the best drama to ever deal with death as a concept, If you have lost someone close to you or even if you didn't yet... I really recommend this drama because it'll help you deal with thoughts and questions honestly almost any human will have when it comes to death.
Except Han Tae Seok character, everybody else is average at their best moments and straight up childish at their worst.
I'm really sorry but this is about kids role playing in an zombie universe, no sense of danger or whatsoever, They all, I mean all of them act as if the infection is the only thing that can kill a human being, a murderer running around trying to kill everybody its ok lets talk, people being selfish, lets talk, even at the very end of the last episode where death is literally everywhere, people are still talking and arguing peacefully.
Really really really great movie, that has more layers to its characters than shown, especially the mangaka. "When we looked at each others, he inhabited me and I inhabited him" I think this statement explains A LOT of things around the mangaka's character as a whole.
My advice as a viewer is this : Try to look at the movie non linearly, some character statements or action can only be understood only after the fact, no need to draw conclusions to character actions when they happens and build an image on it instantly.
Wasted potential, parties that want to bring down each others but still meet each others alone with no fear or supervision is absurd, that last twist doesn't even make any sense whatsoever, realistically I have no idea how is that even possible it was a bomb for crying out loud.
its a good drama if you're willing to turn your heads off. good mindless fun of 10 episodes
I'm by no means a feminist nor do I consider myself as one BUT
Damn all the female characters are miserable, even the ones who supposedly have some sort of power are worthless in their positions and are always cornered, manipulated or need some sort of help by the men of the show or else they self destroy themselves.
Beside that huge glaring issue, the show is a trainwreck imo, I have no idea why they felt the need to add the evil eunuch character, that guy goto is literally isekai'd from 12th century china, hands behind his back 24/7, his head doesn't even turn left or right, even his clothes are like a eunuch. 100% 24/7 always evil, I bet he breathes more oxygen than the regular person, because he's trying his best to make us all run out of oxygen, all of his existence is evil.
just like sweet food, you need a certain conditions to really enjoy it, unless you're one of those people who eat sweet food 24/7 even in a dystopian apocalyptic environment.

I mean you have the right to note anything you want, but for a forgettable, below expectation movie 8.5/10 is too much
no wonder the ratings are too skewed in kdrama

and if you switch to the japanese side at that rating you'll find unique experiences as a viewer in dramas like Unmet and In this corner of the world.
