I find this funny, because this is among the fastest-paced shows I've seen in a while. It's been 4 episodes and we're already where many shows would take 8 episodes to get to.
Isnt it a bit too early for a a remake ? The original is from 2019, not that old.. wouldnt it be smarter to wait…
It doesn't matter because virtually no one has seen the original. 95% of the people checking this out on Netflix will have no idea it's based on a previously released Taiwanese show.
Another BL that's all over the place but gets a pass from some because it's cute/funny or whatever. But at this point I simply expect more, after KBLs like Semantic Error and The Eighth Sense. Even shorter ones like Blueming and Our Dating Sim delivered proper storytelling in the time they had. In the case of this show, releasing one short episode a week over a month and a half really doesn't help.
I'm confused about those choosing to watch the original *now*. I mean why would you want to be spoiled on everything that happens and basically watch many of the same scenes again with new actors in just a month? Sounds like a sure-fire way to lessen the enjoyment of the remake to me.
Unfortunately a trailer that reveals too much. Considering that it's just 12 episodes it seems that too much about…
I didn't think the trailer revealed too much at all. Maybe it reads differently if you've seen the Taiwanese original, but to me there were just a bunch of brief glimpses of things.
Such an odd show in the way that the villains are getting a lot more character development than the leads, who are basically just buddies bromancing with little development or character growth.
I'd never heard of Minhyun before this show, and I swear people say his acting is "bad" just because that's the expectation they go in with because he's an idol or whatever. I find him much more natural than Eunwoo. And his acting with the panic attack at the end of ep 4 was actually really believable. He's also doing really well playing the reserved/anxious guy who doesn't want to live that way; it's evident from how he's portraying the character that ML wants to break free from his past, but doesn't know how yet.
Sohyun is doing a really good job in this one. I am not yet impressed with Min hyuj. He has chemistry with her…
SML seems like a creep tbh. Giving me stalkerish vibes. He's obviously gonna butt in when he realizes who the ML is and try to "save" the FL from him like she's a damsel in distress.
I watched only the first episode the day it got released, and I was kinda disappointed! Did it get better?!
It's hard to judge any show on its first episode, as there's a lot of setting up the story, laying out the concept, introducing characters and such. That said, I really liked the first episode. But obviously it gets better as the leads get to know each other better. Very funny and cute.
I really liked the book. I wonder what changes they will make, because Jae-hee is only in one of the four stories that make up the novel. Maybe it'll focus on their friendship more than his relationships.
Overall the writing felt more uneven this season, and a lot of it was frustrating because the "good guys" never win, which I guess is realistic here, but still frustrating. Liked it, though. Especially ep 3 & 4.
