Title Knock Off
We sincerely hope that Disney+ will make a decision as soon as possible so that the series Knock-Off can be released…
It's not happening, Barbs. They didn't even finish filming it.

TvN seem to have deleted the still of FL as press in what looks like a war zone after the backlash. It seems plausible they’ll edit the scene in question before airing to avoid further controversy. (Of course nobody knows what the context is yet.)

meri’s ex fiancé gets WAY too much screen time for my liking 💀 i know his presence is used as a plot device…
He was hilarious in Ep1 and the actor did well. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

So I'm guessing they might split this in two parts of 11 episodes each? Would be odd to release 22 episodes all at once, Netflix has never released anything longer than 15 at once, I believe.

Person Nam Joo Hyuk
Anybody know what his next drama is going to be?
After East Palace, you mean? It's speculated he'll do Vigilante S2 next, but not confirmed.

?! He hasn't been in anything since 2022?! and before that he was in the highly praised Beyond Evil...
He's done films, most recently Hijack 1971 last year. But yes, what I find the most baffling is that he chose not to capitalize on his success post-Hotel del Luna and Beyond Evil by doing more high-profile dramas as the male lead (or co-lead).

But he's been acting since he was a kid, so maybe he just wanted to do something different. He's gained like 30 pounds of muscle too and looks like a bodybuilder or something recently. Maybe the military will help him find himself.

agreed, especially since a lot of the character set up was the usual stock characters, shitty ex, meddlesome greedy…
They had to shove the childhood connection in there too. I like clichés in my romcoms, but sometimes I wish they'd shake it up a little bit from the template.

Ep2 was weaker than Ep1, they spent way too long getting to the point when it was obvious early on that she'd use the design contract as leverage. Mostly another episode of setup. But still pretty good!

I mean if you don't like the fake contract marriage trope then you probably should not watch a drama in which that trope is the premise of the drama. Kind of goes without saying.

Near-perfect first episode for me. Nothing revolutionary, but the cast is great and the set-up is good. I even enjoyed the jerk of an ex-fiancé. And Bae Na Ra as a hot villain again! Can't wait for more.

(It should be said that I also rather enjoyed the first four episodes of Love Next Door before things took a turn and it got really bad for me, so I'm not counting my chickens just yet. But great start!)
