Is lee sang yi really just doing a cameo in this drama?Because he has sufficient amount of screen time in the…
It's called a "special appearance" in articles, but from previous dramas we've seen that that could still mean a relatively big role, at least in some episodes (like in Tastefully Yours).
whatâs the problem with the subtitles? (havenât watched the drama yet)
There are no official English subtitles translated by a human being. Only machine translated subtitles generated by AI are available and they are largely gibberish.
Very shady of MDL to remove this from âTop Upcoming Showsâ. We can only speculate as to why. Anti-Japanese? Anti-queer? Or the admins are just big fans of The Wonderfools?
Not sure why you would think that. The description from Netflix is very clear that this is a romance. The trailer…
No one's saying there won't be physical affection between them, and we literally see them cuddling and washing each other in the bath in the trailer. But certain BL fans only see kisses and bed scenes as worthwhile. But also: even straight dramas usually don't show this in a trailer.
Also, you may live in la la land thinking it's not more difficult being gay than being straight, but if you don't want to watch a realistic drama where things are complicated because of discrimination, family opinions and the like, you can just not. For the rest of us, this looks like a beautiful, affecting drama.
This gonna be a nice bromance but no bl at all. Probably queerbaiting at its finest
Not sure why you would think that. The description from Netflix is very clear that this is a romance. The trailer is clearly about two queer men. The reality of the people saying this is a âbromanceâ is that you donât think queer love counts if it doesnât come with the amount and type of physical affection that you deem acceptable.

An open ending where they don't end up together doesn't have to be sad or depressing. Some people even tried to say Love in the Big City had a "bad" ending because the final couple didn't end up together, despite the explicitly hopeful present-time ending with ML and his friends.
Based on the trailer I don't think anyone should expect some sort of fluffy happily ever after. Last year it also had a "bittersweet" tag on Netflix which seems to since have been removed. But the YouTube trailer description does also say that after hardship they ultimately "find joy".
While billed high, it seems Kim Hye Yoon, Moon Sang Min and Lee Chae Min will actually have supporting roles, while the main roles in terms of screen time are the owner of the shop and the three thieves.
Edit: Confirmed for June 26 now - https://m.joynews24.com/v/1967366
All you had to do was read the rest of the sentence.

"Soul Mate is a soulful romance between two young men that spans 10 years."
