Hopefully some of his new dramas (of which there are many at this point) are better than Queen Woo and Gangnam B-Side, neither of which were especially good or memorable.
In the USA, this series is simply titled, Weak Hero. Also—as others have mentioned—the use of "cult" was a…
Not just in the USA, the title in many countries on Netflix is simply 'Weak Hero' (except for the countries that have done a native translation in their own language, basically).
The explanation is simple: they want to list both seasons under the same title, as they do with every show. So the show is called Weak Hero, under which Class 1 and (soon) Class 2 are listed.
They need to be careful in choosing actors. Snow white flopping is mainly due to the main actress, and now this…
Not true at all. The main actress led the previous Hunger Games film to box office success and has been the only part of Snow White to receive critical acclaim. The film is flopping because everything other than her performance is atrocious.
Still hasn't been confirmed for April as of yet. While it was listed in Netflix KR's April line-up, it was the…
The entire rollout for this has been so strange. I'm guessing the push from January was because they had to secure the rights to Class 1 and release that first. And now they may be hedging their bets on April as Class 1 is doing so well; they may want a bigger gap before they release Class 2.
They probably did not expect WHC1 to hit top 10 (top 5 even) in most of Europe and North America in addition to the countries where Korean dramas usually do well.
This is #1 on Netflix's global movies non-English chart for March 17-23. It's also #1 non-English on Flixpatrol, currently charting in over 75 countries 🥳
Not sure why they're wasting this cast on a Wednesday-Thursday slot instead of a weekend slot. They've not had a hit in this slot since The Good Bad Mother. But maybe this will break the curse.
EDIT 5/27: Looks like this will be Saturday-Sunday after all. Smart choice if true!
Man the netflix subs on the s1 release are so horrible...!
If you're using English subtitles, make sure you use the one that is called just "English" and not "English (CC)", because the latter is the dub subtitle and it's always really bad because they have to adapt the lines to fit the characters' mouth movements better, so a lot gets lost.
He didn’t mention weak hero and he said the next work not his next work unless translations are wrong
You’re completely off. It was meant to come out in January when Ryeoun said that. There were literally schedules listing it for a January release. Then they postponed it, likely because they couldn’t get the rights to S1 in time.
He didn’t mention weak hero and he said the next work not his next work unless translations are wrong
Well you can literally hear him say it so what’s the issue? Also, actors will obviously have to know the date this close to airing because they will have schedules related to the promotion of the drama set up at this point.
Why doesn't this show have enough of an audience? Even crappy shows have over 10,000 viewers
Well it has nearly 20,000? It's 3rd highest among currently airing dramas. Besides it's a drama with a target audience that's older than the main demographic of MDL.
