see now if the swimming competition was 2008 and by 2010 she goes abroad and 2020 she returns and 2023-24 she…
I definitely wouldn’t disregard the theory completely. In dramaland … anything is possible!
There easily could be nothing to the theory at all…or it could just go in a different direction like what some are saying for one of the parents … but its just as easily possible that there’s some significance to a relapse storyline too. The wedding invite did look to be dated for May 2023 and his award ceremony in ep 1 was in 2024 (there were all sorts of stands and flags showing it). Who knows!
Maybe it’ll be a party until the end because it’ll be a celebration of life and living to the fullest with the little time she has left. Maybe it’ll be a party because there’s nothing to worry about and she’ll be able to live a long life with her loved ones. 🤷🏼♀️
Maybe he was visiting the memorial parks because of his own interest and personality as an architect and artist, naturally being drawn to that and just wanting to do a good job. Maybe it was him in a future scene and there was a deeper reason … and that’s why he was so intent to do a proper job and also why he had the ideas he had to create a place where people can smile through their tears in remembering their loved ones.
Point is we really don’t know…and it will be interesting to see what direction the writers will go, considering what we’ve seen and know so far. There’s still a lot of mystery left unresolved.
It certainly makes the imagination run wild with this uncertainty and suspense!!
OMG his confession was so cringe.. . and he is asking himself if it was cringe?
it was cringe and kinda underwhelming lol. afterwards he was like “is that all I could say?” I’m like my thoughts exactly 🤣 but at least he finally plucked up the courage 👏🏻
yes I think you’re right. I actually looked this up out of curiosity … and popcorn is high in fiber and can…
I wonder if she ate them immediately out of fondness for her best friend then … she had to have known that wasn’t a good call for her to chow down on that stuff!
The script is a complete mess, trying to tackle too many things while creating numerous subplots that are dull…
LOL so true!! I have noticed this kdrama trope. If they meet and fall in love as adults they almost always come to realize somewhere near the end of the series that they actually knew each other when they were kids or crossed paths in some random … yet supposedly “star crossed” way when they were 3. It’s so extra 😂😂& is almost as if it can’t be a real, true “fated” soulmate kind of love if it the romance didn’t begin when they were infants or something. like what ever happened building forts and cooties at that age lol 🤣
The childhood sentimentality is cute, but the adult relationships are what we’re here for.
I do not like watching sad ending or problems that don’t get resolve. At this point I’m think I should pause…
from what I have heard it’s going to get much better after ep 11 … so taking a break and coming back to it is probably good if you want to skip the angst. 😬
Im pretty sure the cancer is not back, but because large parts of her stomach has been removed, she cant consume…
yes I think you’re right. I actually looked this up out of curiosity … and popcorn is high in fiber and can be difficult to digest, which might lead to discomfort, bloating, or even blockages in the digestive system. The rough texture of the popcorn, especially the hulls, can also be irritating to the stomach lining.
So eating popcorn could easily cause problems for someone who has had 70% of their stomach removed.

totally agree - originally I thought that was the direction they were headed. would have been so much better if they had gone that route instead.
just a simple story for them to fall in love as adults and kind of go, ‘I guess I probably always liked them I just didn’t see it until now’.
I mean how many of us would actually manage to hold onto a crush from childhood for that long anyways. It’s more interesting to explore their connection as adults than ride the curtails of their childhood forever.
thabk you for your long post defending her. just wanted to addon that the psychology of not wanting her loved…
I guess that still seems weird to me. my mom would easily find something like that out no matter how far the distance is, it’s like they hardly have a relationship. super sad.
you know, aside from the immature parents, I was rather enjoying this episode! then the writers just had to throw the depressing twist at the end and ruin everyone’s mood 🙄
also was the cliffhanger absolutely necessary? couldn’t have brought it up mid episode with some semi resolution? couldn’t have eased us into it at all?
nope just had to drop a total bomb and leave everyone in the lurch while also breaking our hearts for the ML for … what is it now … the 100th time? not to mention the FL because she hasn’t been through enough trauma and stress as it is…
last weeks ending was difficult enough … not a fan of this!!!!!! not. a. fan.
I read up on stomach cancer. I don't believe she has relapsed (that would be a Very. Bad. Thing - in fact, basically…
ohh this makes so much sense. she couldn’t handle spicy food in ep 1 … now we know why. she also said she hadn’t eaten that day before eating the popcorn too maybe that didn’t help.
It’s so weird you’d think she’d have shown more physical signs before now…it’s such a serious thing & she only has 1/4 of her stomach. 😳
thabk you for your long post defending her. just wanted to addon that the psychology of not wanting her loved…
still it’s really odd to not tell your family and best friend. one of the commenters actually went through cancer/recovery in real life and noted that the plotline was weird and out of place to them — and particularly noted that it’s very strange to never talk to your fam or closest friends about it.
I feel like if someone who’s been through it in real life is saying that, it’s very telling of how unrealistic and random the writing is. plus taking a whole year away from work and in chemo / recovery … it’s difficult to believe her family wouldn’t find something out at some point.
