I loved this. It is really the perfect feel-good drama. It was done so well. From building up the story, to character and relationship development, and every subplot has been resolved. Really excellent.
I'm going to take back what I said about no negativity in the comments, I just realized I just skipped every comment about Cheng Xiao's acting. While I don't think she's acting the best, I do think it's fitting for the role. I'm currently reading the novel, and so far I've been content with how Chen Xiao portrays Tong Yao.
I am going to stop analysing who is right and who is wrong because both of them have their faults, they both know what the other expects from them even if they don't talk about it, they're both smart and Nabi isn't being manipulated as I see it, she just can't resist the temptation of him. From now on, I will just go with the flow and take whatever they give me. If they end up together, amazing, if they don't, still amazing, if she goes with the childhood friend, I love it.
I like the actress, but truly hated her character. I'm not usually someone that rewatches dramas too, only a few really. Feel good dramas that aren't too stressful. Ah, thank you. I did take a lot of time. It's just really a recommendation list haha.
Yes! His projects didn't give much room to highlight his good acting. He acted so well and at first, I liked the character, but Lovestruck especially failed in my eyes because the development of their romance was just not convincing enough. Like yeah, they were cute, but obviously they didn't know anything about each other. So, why are you this hung up on someone that threats you so bad? My love for Minho had me going on (as you may see on my profile pic, lol). I think I'm going to rewatch suspicious partner now. Haha.
Yeah, I really fell in love with him in Healer and though I have many favourite dramas among them suspicious partner is pretty much unbeatable because it's just so much fun. And sadly, I've been disappointed with his choice of dramas ever since he has been released from the military. I did understand why he chose Melting Me Softly, they had good chemistry, and it was a bit scifi/fantasy, could've been good if it had been better directed IMO and with Lovestruck - I guess because it's something different, quality was topnotch, it was just so frustrating - but oh my backstreet rookie was just .... why?
Guys what do think about Cheng ge's interview at the end of ep 22 about the fans and celebrity's relationship,…
He's definitely right. I'm always rooting for my idols to be in relationships because why deny them something that I wouldn't deny myself? I really wish idols would empathize on that more, educate their fandoms just at least a little (especially if the fandoms are known for this kind of toxic possessiveness), and change fan culture. My bias could get married today and I wouldn't love him any less.
I'm really curious as to what's this drama's formula that makes me so obsessed? Like ... I even started reading the novel, I willingly look for any kind of spoilers, everyday I check if there are new subs (knowing there won't), I'm looking into every drama by Xu Kai. At night, I'm dreaming of it. Because if I look at it as objectively as I can, this drama is just average, I guess. Still, I'm enjoying it so much that I surely will rate this a 10.
(As a sidenote: I love how there's really no negativity in the comments. Like everybody here is just as obsessed and loves it. Really feels safe here.)
