I haven't read the webtoon, but I do view his problems in the drama much more serious than the struggles of an angsty youth. And with realistic, I don't mean in a sense that it should "heal" him, only in the way how he actively seeks out love and attention to cover up his past trauma. Sobin is more like a bandaid on a heavy wound that needs surgery.

I do understand you're worries, though. I just think that ep7 was so far the only ep that has heavily focussed on the romance because Jun is just a little too burnt by Soohyun right now. I think Jun's issues can and will only kind of resolve if he can communicate with his brother, or he'll realize that a found family is much more precious than a blood family that doesn't want you. I could do without the romance on Soohyun's part because other than Jun, he's not actively seeking out romance because of his financial problems. Jun falling in love is more realistic in that case. let's hope they'll not ruin it.
I'm glad I didn't read the webtoon because I didn't have any expectations when I stumbled upon this. I do regret that they made Soohyun hetero from what I read in the comments.
I think Soo Hyun have some feelings for Yeo Jun , because his actions shows that he is not so happy with Yeo Jun…
I'm pretty sure they scrapped everything that is even slightly queer. Soohyun's reaction to them dating was probably more out of surprise. Since he has not even the luxury to think about dating, I think he's just more conservative and that his words are taken literally, as in that he really believes their relationship to develop quite quickly.
I'm sorry, but ep 7 disappointed me for so many different reasons, and why do I feel like they are dropping the…
I think the scene at the end showed how much he is not healed by love. Sobin will only probably be the first person he may open up to because so far she's the only one that has accepted him. From the preview, I guess that Soohyun will follow after quickly.
the twist at the end was kind of meh, but overall I really really enjoyed this drama. the pacing was really really good and the development of both relationships and characters was very well done.
