I don't know how to say it. There are very sad parts to the drama, but it's not really making me sad. I guess "heartbreaking" fits pretty good, because I really pity the characters but I'm also very hopeful for them.
In this ep I noticed that this drama isn't actually romance heavy. There are not many romantic scenes with the leads but when there are ... it's intense.
Auay actively supported and helped his boss with child sex trafficking, but him feeling minor guilt when confronted with his daughter he kidnapped who came as a result of him raping a woman shall make me empathize with him. yeah no. glad he died, he and Wuttikorn deserved it. though a lifelong prison sentence would've made me happier.
It's really rare seeing a drama that really found the perfect balance. the plot is nicely paced, the characters are distinctive and show natural development. comedy and romance are nicely tied and the story is unique without being overbearing.

Again, you can educate yourself on all those questions. Google is right there. You'll quickly realize that the answers are the opposite of what you want it to be for your own comfort. And that only people that are racist and ignorant ever talk about a "race card".

When you feel personally attacked that people point out racism - I have news for you! educate yourself on culturally appropriating Black hairstyles and read my comments correctly to answer your questions.
personally I did not like this season as much as season2. may just be because 2 was just so incredibly funny, whereas this one is incredibly impressive in the production value.

no, it's clear as day. the moment they even decided to let people be confused about whether or not he should be perceived as 100% Korean, as if there weren't any Black Koreans, as if it wasn't absolutely colorist of them to rule the possibility out that there could be naturally darker Koreans. him mocking "only" Rastafarian, when even you admit that they're black "most of the time", is just saying that he is mocking black people. I KNOW that he is mocking Black people for all the stereotypical things they based this character off. It's not even an opinion, it's fact. It's history.

I dunno what you see, but I can clearly see that they used make-up on him that let's him appear slightly darker than he really is. Is it blackface? - debatable. I'd say yes. Is he blackfishing (w/ or w/o the foundation)? - definitely yes. Still bad, still racist, still controversial, still culturally appropriating, still nothing you shouldn't be educated about in 2020, even in Korea. Or here on MDL since there are so many people here who seem to know what Black people should be "sensitive" about or not.
I simply do not care for the natural darker skin tone of this dude, if he was just living his life. But his portrayal of his role is definitely mocking Black people, there is the nuance, there are the facts, if you can't see it than that's because you don't want to.
I agree that there is no pedophilia. SB is not a minor anymore and clearly able to make her own decisions, that's why their age difference should not be a problem. I guess it's their first meeting people are criticizing because she was a minor that moment, even in her school uniform. she should've not have kiss him, he should've not given her his number.
I struggle to continue because she's 17 and just got forced into marriage with some dude that kidnapped her. I know it's literally in the description but people seem to like it so much I wanted to give it a try.
