I'll watch this for Park Hye Soo and for her only. I do like the rest of the cast, but I've been honestly waiting for that girl to pop up again.

the bad rating really makes me wonder if I should gave low rated dramas more chances, because this was nearly a 10 for me.

The way Jung Kyung called Hyeon Ho out in front of Song Ah and Young In was so damn embarrassing. Does she think…
this poor boy is miserable without her adding to it

As much as I dislike her, I need to know more about JK because she doesn't make f***ing sense.
I don't get why she decided to get together with HH in the first place, when she was apparently in love with JY. She could've just confessed to him, if she wanted.
I don't get how after years of being with HH she still is in love with JY and somehow had to suppress all her true feelings.
I don't get how she could even stay in love with or develop deeper feelings for JY, if they haven't seen each other in several years and obviously since she was in a relationship they weren't flirting with each other.
I don't get how she acts like the world is so unfair to her, when all her misery is a direct consequence of her own decisions.
I really don't understand why she stayed with HH for so long if she was unhappy to begin with and when and how she suddenly developed the confidence that JY would go to her the moment she's single as if this man did not have enough on his plate and would just shit on his best friend's feelings when there's more than that which kept him from pursuing her in the first place.

Well, than she should do the same thing for Joon Young, too.

I really like JH, she is quirky and honest, and you may not relate to her conversations but I really do. I'm a really honest person too, some like it, some don't, but I really miss the representation of honest but nice characters.
I also find her very relatable in her working situation, where she has clearly no fault, but feels insecure and tries to find ways to reflect on herself, trying to be confident but also failing at that when confronted.

I think what beckoned his interest in her is the fact that she said she is not a fan of his but of his friend,…
yes, I agree. I hardly sense any romantic feelings for her, but more like a strike of his ego. HH may be a good friend, but I also think he is unconsciously belittling HJ and therefore is surprised when it's his friend that get unconditional interest, despite being less popular.

I just don't understand what they were fleshing Yun Shun's character out for. I know more about this guy than about the leads combined. what are they giving him a tragic health, family and childhood connection to the female lead for? they could've just make this guy ordinary and fall for her

Byun Woo Seok's acting really can't compare with the whole rest of the cast. I try to not focus on it too much, but everybody else feels so natural and he is just so stiff. His acting really takes me out of the story because I keep noticing that his skills are still lacking.
I'm normally not someone that is bothered by something like that, because BWS is not bad, just not as good. But with the whole plot and premise of the story, how can I not notice that he is the 2nd male lead but his acting can't even compare to the supporting cast?

Lee Jung Kyung acts like she was force to be in a relationship with Han Hyun Ho. Why is she so annoyed by Park Joong Young who never acted on his feelings for her, when she literally became the girlfriend of his best friend? If she crushed on him since their teenage years, she could've confessed to him, too, instead she completely ignores his family situation and blames him for trying his best in his profession.
I really don't get what they like about her.

Title Go Ahead Spoiler
I gotta rate this a 9.5 because they really tried to make suicide LX's mother's redemption arc. Suddenly she knows how poisonous she is. I would've like it much better if both LX and his mother were openly seeking therapeutic help. But like this, I don't know how I should suddenly feel sorry for the mother when she has been threatening LX with her suicide the whole time. I don't know how her failed suicide should suddenly be a wake up call for her, how she suddenly accepted JJ and the rest as LX's family. You never really see her realize for herself how damaging her mental abuse towards LX was since early on - blaming the death of his sister on him. She only hears it from LX's father and that's it. She also never realized what a bad mother she is to her youngest daughter as well. they could've used one meaningful conversation ending in tears instead of a disagreement or fight.
since a big turning point was LX telling his mother that the reason why he cares for his family is because they care for him/love him, implying that she doesn't, why wasn't there a conversation about how much, too much, she loved him that it became a obsession and that she therefore feels too guilty for abandoning him as a child.
I also dislike how Mingyue was able to just perfectly analyze her character, although I'm not sure if they ever even talked with each other. it would've been much more meaningful if JJ had found that out by herself or at least from LX.
I find it really sad because the drama did a really good job with the development and redemption of all the other characters. You'll even get to see a very surprising side of ZQ's biological father.
Since they've been torturing me with the whole disapproving mother plot, I need more closure, or some closure at all. I know JJ is not a petty or resentful person but I really dislike how she never really confronts LX's mother or the guy who stole her work or the boyfriend of her colleague. Essentially, she just let's other people solve all the problems that concern her, too.
Everything else was perfect to be honest. It's one of the rare dramas were I almost enjoyed the side characters more. I feel like I also need to comment on the acting of the male leads. i think the reason why Steven's acting was much more impressive was because he actually got the chance to have all those necessary conversation and he could really express them all.
Personally, I found Weilong just as good, because their characters are just so different, we have just seen the same side of LX, but that's because his issue lied with one person only. He is also someone to not share his pain, or play it down and even if he opens up he plays it off very well. ZQ on the other hand, had issues with both his parents and with himself, and he was not good at hiding his troubles at all, no matter how hard he tried.

I really like it so far.
I feel like for me there is a difference between slow burn and slow paced.
this is definitely slow burn, you get a really good intake of their daily life, but all the scenes are important for character understanding.
for a lot of people slow burn just feels like slow paced, where nothing really happens and they cannot really connect with the characters.
I can see how people could find this plain and boring, even if I find this very exciting.

I'm at my limit. I was trying to keep up with it but there it's really not enjoyable anymore. from bad acting to bad writing to bad designing (for a fashion drama). I'm tired of trying to convince myself that there is something worth watching.
I'm dropping it. Sorry Jerry Yan, maybe next time.

the problem with the love story is that the main couple rarely share any meaningful conversations. as cute as their brickering is, it doesn't really strengthen their understanding of and for each other. Instead we see Tian Ran build a friendship with Yun Shu, and tho they have no chemistry at all, at least she really opens up to him about her passions, tho he doesn't have any professional knowledge in music.
so how come, she can't have at least similar conversations and bonding over that with her husband, when both their biggest passion and their professions lies in music?

damn I think they debuted a new jacket???
LXC is the most passive male lead I've ever seen. nothing happens with him if he is not forced into any kind of situation.

The 11 year age difference is not a big deal since this is happening around me too. And yes, maybe it's due to…
Age gaps are debatable, I personally don't mind them when both people are more then barely legal. in this case, she is clearly underage, she is not even slightly mature.

Traditions can be sacred, but that doesn't make them right.
So yeah, it's too messy and too traditional, it should be changed.
