You may enjoy this better if you really skip through all of the side characters. Especially Tiffany and Yun Shu's scenes are incredibly repetitive, so skipping through all of Tiff's jealous nonsense and through all of YS's childhood nonsense gives you the chance to focus on your dislike at the betraying and remorseless best friend and your overall interest at the question of just how and why and when the leads start thinking fondly of each other.

this is one of those dramas where they suddenly love each other even though they were at each others throats just a minute ago. they do "couplely" things from early on I guess, but being conscious of their feelings may only start around ep 18.

LOL I feel like I'm the only one enjoying every part of this.
I'm not really surprised because with hyped dramas there will always be a lot of dislikes because people have different expectations.
In my case, I expected to dislike it and I'm positively surprised. I like the family potion of it, the eternal struggle and I do like the chemistry of the leads because we rarely see just people hitting it off the right way. it's always enemies-to-lovers or we're-shy-but-bond-over-shared-trauma, never just people getting together because they just enjoy each others vibes and company.

why did she cry?

I dunno why Yi Hua gotta be like that. Xuan Ji told her that Si Feng hadn't recovered yet but she still insisted on it. as if it couldn't have waited a few more days. Also, with all that she had witnessed Si Feng do for Xuan Ji .... how ... how could she believe that he could ever fall for her instead? let it make sense.
Teng She is literally the superior snake in every kind of aspect. I just love how his appreciation of Xuan Ji grew and how he came to like being her spiritual pet.

I really love Xuan Ji, I felt so sorry for Si Feng because his love for her meant so much sacrifices, but even I was convinced she loved him just as much in ep 51, eventhough I knew it all the time. she really made me cry.

I thought this was a serious supernatural crime drama like Ghost Detective (which I loved) and I was just generally curious for why a Zombie though ... but turns out this has comedy and ROMANCE .... so now I'm too curious how they try to develop that.

both Si Feng and Cheng Yi are way to good at acting

for me the description says that she should be with Joon Soo at the end.

the dark look was sexy, but my fave Si Feng look is the one in the wedding attire in that cave, when he discovered Xuan JI took off his mask.

I found Tengshe really annoying in the beginning, but boy I grew to love this little snake.

we only focus on one of their life times, we only see the others as flashbacks

I know only his mortal body died but Haochen won't even let me enjoy that.

I dunno, sometimes I feel like the mother is off but she's supposed to be an exaggerated character, her personality is like that and I see her like some kind of Asian Karen, that's why I find Shin Hee Ra's acting very fitting.

from the comments I gather that it's just as chaotic as I expected it to be and still somehow y'all seem to have fun and I kinda wanna join, especially because I love Im Soo Hyang

I understand Xuanji and I don't hate her, but honest to god my boy Sifeng deserves better. like how is he so trusting and so unconditionally in love with her when she keeps breaking his heart. I could never.

I need Haochen to die, but he needs to die by Xuanji's sword (or because of his own damn stupidity). As satisfying as it was, Sifeng should not be the one to end this dickhead's life.

I'm very excited for this

I don't like Korean historical dramas, but I'll give this a chance for Park Hye Soo
