Theres a point in the novel where on her way to Yihe she flashes back to her past and in that past she stays with a police woman and it kind of goes over how she survived during that time. Some of these clips could definitely be from that. They probably added more for the drama.

Yes you do randomly do things when you sleepwalk, I've even had my OWN experiences with sleepwalking and grabbing items in my sleep and my brother used to sleepwalk as a kid. Open the schools cause your education system clearly failed you.

This breaks me cause he loves her so much that her pain becomes his pain. it's also probably a combo of him feeling helpless aswell.

It may seem slow and I mean it IS a slow burn but if you really pay attention theres very subtle hints of development happening per episode. They may be the smallest gestures but it's progress.

I'm just wondering how they're gonna do it, if it's gonna be like the novel or if they're gonna make a change in the plot that leads up to him leaving. So far it feels like they're taking a different route but he'll probably still leave his luggage.

This. The plane is her going to Yihe and the hug picture is them reuniting and her telling him everything. In the novel he leaves his luggage behind when he goes to Yihe so i'm not sure if they're gonna do that in the drama or not.
