Did you catch the part when she was unhappy that he was in love with someone else and would not be hers, to the…
Every episode made clear how much Jang Hyun and Gil Chae had loved one another since their first encounter. Gil Chae chose to stay for her family instead of running away with him because she knew she would have brought shame to her family and they would have been hunted and killed. Second… she literally told Jang Hyun and the audience that she felt like she could not dare love him. She felt like she wasn’t good enough to be with him she constantly pushed him away because of that reason and because she thought he could live and be happy without her. As much as he longed for her happiness, she wished for his. Say that you don't understand the show and just leave!!! MY GOD

Gil Chae is constantly held responsible for Jang Hyun's conduct. You're blaming her while he's a grown adult who knows exactly what he's doing. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

Gil Chae told Won Moo she gave her heart to Jang Hyun so that he’d feel bad for abandoning her and knocking up another woman while she was out there suffering and fighting for her life. That was her secret to keep, she did not even intend on sharing that information with Jang Hyun. She was going to start a new life as a single woman in Joseon and try to live the way Jang Hyun wanted even though it was not possible because she was now considered tainted and was struggling to make ends meet. She literally tried so hard to pretend and put on a happy face for him because she was led to believe she was only a burden to him. YOU CLEARLY WATCH THIS DRAMA WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED.

I won't continue arguing with an imbecile. You don’t get it and you never will 💀

Did you catch the part when she was unhappy that he was in love with someone else and would not be hers, to the…
You are apart of the sexist / misogynistic party who constantly belittles and shames Gil Chae for no reason. I wont hear anymore lol... the fact that you believe she cheated on her husband is absolutely insane. All she did was hug Jang Hyun... you are acting like they committed adultery. Her same husband married her knowing that she'd never love him and then left her for dead when she was kidnaped. As far as I'm concerned she was no longer married the moment he abandoned her then lied to everyones faces. WAKE UP.

You're one to talk about how it was in those times yet you actively keep on defending Gak Hwa like her actions are somehow better??? You actively choose to see what you want to see remain oblivious to the fact that she is a high class skank / hoe. She was basically throwing herself at Jang Hyun the entire time and she kissed him without his consent twice??? She is so unhealthily obsessed and infatuated with him that she was willing to go to any lengths necessary to have him and also prove a point. She thought by backing him into a corner he’d have no choice but to surrender and give into her wants and desires. Bffr. You are a blatant hypocrite so just be quiet!

Nah she definitely tried to kill him thats why she wounded him so badly... she couldn't let him go free without a scratch. Also she was basking with joy and amusement when she led Gil Chae to believe he was dead. You're a messed up person for defending her psychotic actions. Once again her last minute act of kindness and compassion doesn't make her a good person. Even at the last moment she almost slit Jang Hyun's throat for choosing to be with Gil Chae AGAIN. She cried when she realized she was unable to kill him even having the opportunity to do so, she was also sobbing for not being the woman he wanted or chose in the end. It is not my fault if you are unable to accept the truth or if you voluntarily choose to remain oblivious to the facts.

Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
I just don’t know why Gag Hwa was hated throughout the show.
Did you catch the part when she was unhappy that he was in love with someone else and would not be hers, to the point where she tried to kill him and almost succeeded? Hell she nearly killed both Jang Hyun and Gil Chae, The fact that she helped him and allowed him to go as a free man in the most recent episode does not take away from the bad things she did in the past. In addition to being ruthless, psychotic, egotistical, and greedy, she desired a man who she knew would never love her. Despite constant rejection, she persisted in pursuing her own goals and self-serving agenda. Be so serious.

Again with the toxic fan allegations 🙄 The hypocrisy is crazy! As far as I’m concerned you people are always the first to bring up looks which is just so telling. Nobody was even mentioning that LMAO 😂😭 not my fault you and others feel your fave is inferior in some way.

Lmao you’re relevant to this conversation how? Mhmm I thought so.

Word of advice, stop being curious about my age and focus on yourself. I’ve already stated I’m done with this argument so go find someone else to bother.

Seems like you have a knack for blabbering nonsense. If you look around on any social media platform you people are always on Shi Oh edits, tweets, posts and videos crucifying and calling people out for liking / sympathizing with Shi Oh or shipping Nam Soon with him. You guys are so eager to criticize, labeling us as toxic, deluded, crazy, or insane – not to mention you always tell us to seek help. You people are always so condescending and think that your perspective is the only "correct" one. Your harsh comments never even comes across in a joking manner because it’s obvious you people feel you are superior to us. The double standards are actually INSANE.

What I'm gathering is that It’s fine when you praise Hee Sik for doing the absolute LEAST lmao but it’s a problem when we praise how interesting and talented Woo Seok / Shi Oh is??? You were even so rude in your previous comments dragging him for smirking / executing his version of the villain for absolutely no reason? Lmao I’m not gonna lie, you are just being obnoxious at this point and prolonging unnecessary drama for nothing — further proving my point.

Look around — your side of fandom is the toxic one because you will not allow us to have our own opinion. I won’t stop saying it but you people hate fun! It’s a freaking fictional drama for crying out loud. We can ship, like and enjoy whoever we want. For people who hate the villain so much and constantly put down Woo Seok / Shi Oh to uplift Seong Wu / Hee Sik you people are always stalking content that has to do with Shi Oh and Nam Soon. Make it make sense! That’s FAN BEHAVIOR fr. Just bc you hate him even though your actions suggest otherwise you people have to force your opinions down our throats or rain on our parade. Sucks when you get a taste of your own medicine HUH? — EXACTLY!

I seriously suggest you get a job or a life bc I’m not gonna keep going back and forth with you. You’re clearly looking for an argument so I suggest you just rest.

BYE.

Nobody was bullying you though? THE FALSE ACCUSATIONS ARE INSANE. You praise your fave but you can’t handle someone else doing the exact same thing? Make it make sense.

It’s quite hilarious how you think your fave’s acting skills are superior or “REAL” when so many people on this comment section beg to differ. Talking about real acting lmao you wouldn’t even know what that was if it stared you in the face. Ong Seong Wu’s acting is subpar at best (in this drama) and he only tried to express himself when he got angry in the last two episodes. Otherwise, Hee Sik been a boring, underdeveloped and lackluster character for the entirety of the drama. It’s time to wake up and face reality.

Also you wrote this long epistle for what? Nobody’s reading all that. Nothing you said will change the fact that your sources are biased bc they have something against Byeon Woo Seok. Even people who dislike the villain and prefer Hee Sik / Seong Wu have admitted that Woo Seok plays a very compelling villain. Lol just bc you and a few other BIASED reviewers don’t think he’s a convincing villain is nothing compared to the plethora of people who are watching all over the world. Go check the likes, comments and views on any content that has to do with him once again.

Have a good day.

You seem upset, maybe drink some water and CALM DOWN. If our collective "fangirlism" bothers you, perhaps you should just ignore it????????? 🙄

Also Hee Sik is rather boring generally speaking and I'm sure a lot of people agree that he's one dimensional. He only seemed to gain somewhat of a character arc these past 2 episodes with the death of his sunabe as I already said.

I am just gonna agree to disagree with you and leave it here because you clearly don't and will never get it. I wasn't even being rude, you just seem to take everything personally and love assuming people's feelings. Me speaking in CAPS is just for emphasis LOL. Get over yourself for real! 💀

These are the facts, not projections. Also, if you read this users' comments, you'll notice that they almost always favor Seong Wu in an attempt to portray him as the main star of this drama, despite the fact that this is clearly not the case. Now they're making such bold claims and citing one article as proof? Please. Lmao I'm simply commending Woo Seok / Shi Oh as he is in fact the scene stealer. Idk why you are getting upset when so many people here seem to agree with me. So just calm down. It was never that serious in the first place.

Oh please... whoever wrote that article is clearly biased. Everyone can agree that Byeon Woo Seok is the REAL SCENE STEALER. Ryu Shi Oh stays captivating the audiences hearts even as the VILLAIN. You're just bitter more people like him / his character than BORING Hee Sik. The only time Ong Seong Wu was remotely interesting was when he was undercover with Geum Ju or when he got angry after his sunbae died, otherwise his character lacks flavor and depth. LETS BE REAL!

He already told her that women who got abused by the invaders are not to blame in one of their conversation back…
If I'm not mistaken he said that to Young Rang by using a perfect analogy of being bitten by a dog / hit. Still would have been nice to hear because GC doesn't know his thoughts / opinions on that matter. Either way, I loved it and JH is literally THE STANDARD
On Strong Girl Nam Soon Nov 8, 2023
I'm not sure why some people are so upset / bothered that we are calling calling out Nam Soon on playing with Shi O's emotions in order to further the investigaton. If, in the upcoming episode, she accepts his advances while still having only eyes for Hee Sik then she is definitely using and manipulating him. Shi O is opening up to someone for the first time, therefore it goes without saying that we will feel awful for him when he is misled or experiences heartbreak / betrayal because of Nam Soon’s trickery. He seems to genuinely like her, at first it was because he was attracted to her strength but I’m sensing there’s something more than that beneath the surface. And while I am aware that some users here may argue that he deserves it, in reality, he doesn't. His upbringing serves as evidence of what occurs when kids are abandoned, neglected and abused.

You guys never stop repeating that we only like and support Shi O because he's attractive. No, we don't; we sympathize with his story and understand how difficult it will be for him to improve and gain new knowledge if all he has ever known is murder. His entire life has been dependent on him being strong and surviving / enduring. Obviously he needs someone he can rely on and who is concerned about his well-being, but what he really needs is emotional support and therapy. Nam Soon stated that if he puts in enough effort, he can be redeemed and is capable of changing. Say whatever you want, but you can't continuously criticize others for having different opinions than you. You all pretend to be so much superior to us, but in reality, you genuinely want Shi O to be killed. The mother should not have provoked and antagonized him because she could have made Nam Soon blow her cover out of genuine concern for her health and safety. Ugh! It’s not even like she died for real and also Shi O never forced those people to take the drugs they took it on their own accord and because of the mechanism of the drug they kept drinking water and died.

It's funny how you all blame the supplier / manufacturer but you don't hold the addict responsible for their constant buying of the drug! They take the drugs voluntarily out of a desire to escape their circumstances rather than because someone is pressuring them to. Examine Nam In. When the chance for him to lose weight quickly came up, he was so desperate that he could not resist the temptation. It's even worse and I feel sad for him because his mother and the people around him planted doubts and made him so insecure that felt like he needed to change in order to be valued, seen and gain his mother's love and affection. All I'm trying to say is that there are different perspectives on this, so you don't have to discount someone just because you disagree with their viewpoint. Shi O in this situation deserves to be saved, much like the addicts do (if it's not clear — he’s addicted to strength / power).

The moral of this drama, in my opinion, will be that you cannot call yourself a hero if you believe that not everyone is deserving of salvation and if you are unwilling to lend a helping hand to anyone.

oh wait, is it Jang Hyun has slight feelings for the Princess? Or it is just a mere pity? I was so shocked when…
I don't think he has slight feelings for her... I think it was just a momentary lapse of judgment and he pitied her as you said coupled with him missing Gil Chae and probably feeling touch / love starved.
