Can you tell me your review for first 4 episodes ? i want to be encouraged to watch it
- Good range of acting from War and Yin, very good chemistry too - Some engaging second characters - A mix of comedy (thai humor though is not for everyone - I'm not bothered by it), action, romance and angst/serious themes with a heist plot - Emotional and entertaining (but also they don't take themselves too seriously so don't expect the plot to make a lot of sense at some times) - Great cinematography and some scenes are really beautiful and well-shot
Just my take on some (or many) people "criticizing" generally in Mydramalist. It's not specific to the series here. Some crazy point of views are usually made to justify those criticisms (which often are not criticisms...) They often say it's an opinion and hey free speech ! - But they forget it's also free speech for people not agreeing with them... - And they also forget that an opinion can be right or wrong...It's like putting on the same level fake news and true news...the madness of this point of view ! They say "constructive criticism" ah ! - But often it is not really constructive but destructive, since it's only (or mainly) negative - And it usually serves to boost their ego (and feel superior to others)...when they are not even experts on editing, acting, cinematography... - and since they usually are not experts, they cannot give some valid remediation/ solution to the flaws of a series...the constructive aspect of their comments is quickly lost in fact... The only thing people can more or less talk about in fact is about their emotions. This is the only true/logical thing they might be able to do : "I didn't like it". "I cannot connect to the story, etc. " This is madness if you truly believe people on this site. Just watch the series and see if it pleases you. If not, you'll just drop the series and never come back, commenting on every episode how bad it is. This is also madness if you take too seriously the rating. The rating is usually just...weird on this site.
ep1 and 2 were solid. but 3 and 4 are going down the goofy route and im not sure if i like that. i enjoyed all…
The first 5 episodes are clearly there to set in the story. Real things will start with episode 5 in fact. As for comedy, it's really a matter of culture.
I'm just hoping that those who only seem to stress on the flaws on the series (and barely talk about the qualities) and the rating are, at least, watching the show legally...Otherwise, it will sound a little hypocritical to blame a work you're "enjoying" for free, without consideration for the people/artists who need to make a living too... Because that money could have helped making better series in the future...Well, if you're paying, this is understandable : you're not getting what you expect, so...but that's on you.
There are two scenes/elements of episode 4 which really stand out for me: - the close-up of Jack's parents photo. And Jack's reflection on it. With only this small "detail", you can feel the loneliness of Jack, and the photo in the background like a recollection of a traumatic past. It's such a great shot ! - the emotional scene of Joker's aplogies letter. That scene was really well-made with the imaginary Joker reading his own letter. His "absence" is in fact not really an absence. And Joker's mark is starting to overwhelm Jack's psyche. It subtly echoes the scene where Jack was unable to clean the Joker's graffiti. Two scenes talking to each other...and evoking the undeniable strong emotional link between the two main characters.

"The only time there is good acting is when Yin and War interact with each other. All the other scenes with the other actors seem so mediocre, and they consist of 75% of each ep. "
I'll let you read again your own comment. And I'll stop replying to you. My time is precious.
I was so looking forward to this show when it was announced since Im a YinWar fan. The first ep was ok (the major…
Making an action series costs a lot more than doing the usual series with the high-school background. They also don't have the same possibilities as those "blockbusters", even if Yin and War are famous in Thailand. And still, even with those limitations, they still manage to make a decent series, with a fresh and entertaining storyline, Your comment is unfair and unecessarily harsh. Also you cannot say that all the other scenes with other characters are mediocre. Did you include in those scenes, the scenes with the grandma or the little girl ? The intro of episode 4 ? The scene where we discover what happens to Yin's parents ? Do you lack that much empathy ?
The first episodes were developing Joker's character and story. Now episode 4 is basically Jack's episode. We discover more of his background and what happens to his parents. Yin's acting truly shines in this one (and let's not forget about Grandma too). Also among all the "fun" and "humorous" scenes, harsh reality comes and basically never lets you forget the serious undertone of this series.
I really like Yin's acting too in this series. His portrayal of an innocent and somewhat naive boy in the first episode, then a bitter and disillusioned young man in the next episode is great!
