People should just be here to watch the series in fact. And that's also the problem with fans trying to glorify actors too or seeing them as "perfect".... You'll always end up disappointed...
Also is it me but the situation with Mile reminds me a little about what happens to Bright with the success of 2Gether ? He has a lot of "bad" things said about him and you could see how it affects him mentally in the end.... So, if I was a fan, I'll be cautious too with what I find/read on social media, because it is also so easy to create rumors, distort the truth and end up cyber-bullying a celebrity (as usual)...
I hope the idealistic people in this comment section know that there is more domestic violence in LGBTQ relationships…
I think another reason would be also because the victims of abuse in LGBTQ relationships would less likely see the police than people in heterosexual relationships or talk about it with their family, friends etc. because of the "stigma" of being gay in society in general (even if it's still difficult for a victim to do this in any case). So the abuser knows this and can feel like they can do everything they want, almost without fear of being sued, etc. People complain about some BLs and their "dark" portrayal of couples (with the issue of consent, etc.) but those BLs are in a way showing that this reality exists (and that it is still a taboo)...
I'm only watching this for Syn and Nuer. I hope both actors will have a series as a main couple. The other couples are not that interesting to me, unfortunately, so I skip a lot of scenes of this series...
In fact I realize that everything is just a matter of perspective. Pete's first appearance is a proof of that. You can say he is half-clothed but you can also say he is half-naked. Of course in my case I only see the shirt.
- Ep.2 was so entertaining and fun. And now we have to wait two weeks T_T
- Also Vegas was introduced, the mister with the dangerous aura you know you shouldn't mingle with but cannot help doing it. If fire is pretty to look at, it still can hurt and be lethal for you (poetic comparison lol).
- I didn't like that much the "eccentric" son and wants to smash his head several times. Fortunately I restrain myself otherwise I would be six feet under by now. I also still think that one of those carps should have bitten one of those mafia fingers too just to prove the little fish was still very alive (stupid human). Yes, Queen Elizabeth, please, do something because the prodigal son's voice is just so irritating =_= (stupid human, again)
Ok. I think we just need more fighting in this comment section. Here is my contribution. I'm very disappointed by the actors of the series, especially Apo and Mile. Gosh. They are so lazy. I mean is it that difficult to button up your shirts ? -sigh-
The character I have the most problem with is now surprisingly...Tofu though. Even if he is cute and likeable, he is, in my eyes, "invisible" as a being : because he is still a "Teddy Bear" in his mind, a "tool/toy" which only aims at giving comfort. I hope that the scenario will be smart enough to develop really the love story when the "teddy bear" will start to have an individuality, a more obvious personality : he will be no longer " that means of comfort" but a being who has come to life and who will have his own emotions and feelings. It is not only Nut who needs a character growth but also Tofu.
Ep.4 was very emotional. There is depth in the story. You cannot really "hate" a character but most likely you'll feel pity. You may not approve the actions of some characters but you can understand them. The complexity is really what makes this series interesting.
After reading the comments I think that the episode is a little overrated. Here are some thoughts:-we know that…
To answer some of your points :
1) I think it was ok. I didn't think it was too much. Tarantino movies are too much for me but people don't really complain about the very extreme violence and brashness. I see it more as a signature of a "genre". You may like it or not.
2) I agree that the opening scene was not that good, especially the italian actors who don't know how to act and it shows. Fortunately, it gets better after. Mafia big boss is also really convincing from Kinn's side.
3) Who says mafia men cannot be soft and boyish when they talk ? This is more a preconceived idea we have because of the usual gangster movies. Kinn talks like that but he still kills someone in cold blood at the beginning. I think this is quite interesting to show this duality. And contrary to you, I think it makes him even more dangerous because people will see him in a more "kinder" light than he is. I find him in fact quite scary. You better not let your guard down around him, otherwise you'll have a "nasty" surprise...
4) Porsche was easily defeated by Kinn ? Not really. In fact Kinn wasn't exactly victorious in the hand-to-hand combat...Porsche literally grabs his b.......Kinn was later victorious, because he has a gun and a lot of bodyguards around him, knows the place where he was keeping prisoner Porsche....that's why Porsche flees away. The situation is also totally different from the beginning where Porsche saves Kinn. Kinn was not surrounded by his bodyguards, was in an unknown place, etc. He doesn't want to risk his precious blood but the blood of some of his minions...
5) Porsche is a fictional character but still a lot of people in real life have family or some kind of close relationships with other people. So it is very likely this will be used against him anyways. This is not surprising nor stereotypical. As for him being the only provider or not, it doesn't change the fact that even if he was not the only provider, it will be still used against him.
WHY IS MDL ALLOWING RATINGS FOR 1 EPISODE OF A 14 EPISODE SHOW?When you see a 9.4 rating for merely 1 episode…
You can rate each episode though ? So I can rate a series as soon as we have the first episode. Later, it'll change with the next episodes. I don't see what's wrong with that.
Ok I like Nut's friend a little better in this episode 3 ! Cute moments but also not so cute moments...and a lot of plot twists too ! This is still interesting but I have to say I cannot stand Nut's way of treating his mother and Tofu...I understand this is not easy for him but still...violence ? -sigh-So it was nice to see Gen saying Nut is responsible of his mom's distress ! Go tell him Gen !
