This was a fun and entertaining first episode ! Big boss always have interesting activities though : playing chess, making pottery (next time, trimming bonsai lol ????). My only complain is the beginning of the episode : the scene with italian mafia boss was not very good (not well acted)...and a little too much...I cringe a lot during that scene lol But otherwise, this is very enjoyable.
You have watched EP 3? The story has been amazing so far. Acting was amazingly done too!
Not yet ! And indeed the acting is very good. I especially love the mom. She is great. Also Nat/Nut duality frigthens me : he scares me when he is that angry (but I also pity him) and then the look in his eyes in front of his crush...Damn, what a fine actor too !
Is it good enough to take Semantic Error's place as best kbl of 2022?
I personally think that the works of this director are really on another level....So for me it doesn't make sense to compare the two. It's like comparing Coca Cola with your home-made drink. In her works, there's always something so raw, personal and sincere. I absolutely love it. It always strikes a chord.
I'm not surprised this is amazing. The director of Where your eyes linger and To my star ! Of course ! She's my favorite director of KBLs. Great work again !
Ok, so, I just saw ep 1 and.... I really do not like how they treat women here. Nor how they treat mothers versus…
I like the first episode but I agree. However Nut is also no better with Tofu though. Not very friendly... He is a jerk in general. And Tofu is not acting like that with Nut's mother. But let's see how it will go. I'm not sure I'll like a lot Nut and his colleague lol Maybe it'll change...I hope...
See I agree with all your points and I still absolutely love Not Me, and I think it's a masterpiece! And I think…
Of course ;) If you like it and the series speaks a lot to you, it's perfectly understandable you cherish it, as a fan. I wish it was also the case for me too. And believe me, I really wanted too. Unfortunately, I'm more conflicted. I really love let's say the good first half of the series, but then later, it was less the case. But I still love some of the scenes and the good acting. I just feel sad they were not able to have a better scenario. I'm frustrated maybe that's why I can't let go yet this series. It is exactly the kind of series I'll usually love but in the end it was not exactly the case. PS : and thank you for being respectful when you reply to me...-sigh- People are too sensitive nowadays !
A lot of comments and I want to reply to one comment lol but I cannot find it anymore O.o. So I'll let it here. Sorry. (you can still skip it he he). I'm not criticizing the plot because I didn't like the way it is going. In fact, it is a matter of being logical and accordingly developped. You can really feel they have made the writing when they were still filming. The actions of the gang are, since the beginning, not really convincing. I let it go because I like the acting and the cinematography. Some scenes are very beautiful too and I still love them a lot though. But I've been really disappointed with the scenario : it becomes more and more obvious with how everything will not be well resolved towards the end. Let's stop justifying what's not...just because the series is treating some very important themes. You can treat very important themes and still end up like a wasted potential. The idea that their actions as a gang will, for instance, lead to something bigger (like a protest) is really "far-fetched", Black waking from his coma and acting like he has never had one to begin with is unbelievable, White "weird" acting as Black and no one from the gang wanting to dig more into the "mystery" during many episodes, etc....And many more. But I am lazy to point out everything. In fact the acting, cinematography is carefully crafted..but when you see the plot, the scenario...the difference is telling and quite obvious. Which makes me disappointed and annoyed lol In every way, this feels like MODC 2...But people were more (and rightfully) angry with MODC and the terrible ending. I guess since Not me is treating important themes, people will let it go...And sorry, but that's a problem too.
ok I'm finally dropping this series, seeing the spoilers. Disappointed is an understatement. But I was expecting this. A twist for the sake of a twist. Plot makes no sense and is far-fetched (again). I think that later viewers will be less blinded by the good "wrapping" (good acting, cinematography...) and see that the series is really failing in the scenario, unfortunately.
i always felt bad that GMMTV was not pushing Gawin as much as others but then i saw him trying to be "emotional"…
I don't know well Gawin since I haven't watched his previous work. But I'm surprised people have a problem with his acting here. I find him very natural. He also acts with his "eyes" and I like that when you can feel emotions in the actor's eyes (and a lot of actors unfortunately have "dead" eyes in the series I've watched...). His painting scene was breathtaking and the way his emotions were displayed don't feel weird at all for me. But it's true I've hardly seen ep. 12 since... I've lost interest in the series more or less after ep.9 because of the bad writing and incoherent plot. In the series, the actors I've noticed are mainly Off, Gawin, First and Mond personally. I'm not a fan of Gun's acting. I don't know why but I don't feel it, the "emotions". It doesn't mean he's a bad actor for sure but he has always felt "cold" and "distant" to me. That's why I think Black character suits him a lot more than White character.
2 of your points also drive me bonkers. I posted about the coma last week and decided to just let it go and suspend…
You've seen more plot holes ! And I'm even more confused with the plot ! But as you say I'm still enjoying it too. I just hope it won't be too much lol Because if the plot starts making less and less sense, that means anything can happen...That's why I'm worried (and I'll be angry, if it ends quite absurdly and badly for one of them...). I hope at last the outcome will be more or less logical and not something for the sake of angst/drama etc. Please no MODC ending or Grey rainbow ending...The way those series end was meant to "shock" people...
I believe that Sean thought that he discover another side of Black that no ones know ...and when Sean asked White…
Yes, I guess so. But I think there are logical layers of emotion too the series could have shown. As you say : "But then again he could've sensed something wrong". They should have shown this more clearly in this episode. Especially considering how White and Sean relationship has developed. They understand each other better now. In fact it is almost ironic that Sean seems more perceptive of White (in how he was different from the usual Black) at the beginning of the series than now. Which is not really logical since they love each other now. They have a sense of themselves. The series could have implied that Sean at least was not totally unaware of this, especially during that "discussion".
- children are evil
- turtles should not be hidden
- poor bruised lips (characters fall a lot)
