lol I'm sure we'll get worse shows because of those comments... I'm not sure I can call this constructive criticism...lol But I don't expect a lot from many comment sections in MDL for most BL shows...now it is often toxic, very biaised, judgmental and incredibly arrogant. Basically you'll believe we have either the future jury for the next Oscar ceremony or zealots....Of course, not everyone is like that (fortunately). However I have to say the comment section for Lovely Writer has attracted some really "nice" commentators...I wonder why...
If I compare to the Cherry Magic comment section, they were far more open-minded, kind, discussing about theories, and most importantly, you can literally FEEL they didn't have already made their opinion about a show....I was not a fan of Cherry Magic, but the comment section makes me really appreciate A LOT MORE the show by understanding it better. That's what you call constructive criticism and not blatant biased view....
What's wrong with that? People have a beef about them. They want to comment. Why should that be a big deal? Does…
Nope. Just annoying. Like those sound effects lol It brings nothing to the "debate". It is mostly useless. Also if people want to comment about them. I CAN comment on those comments too LOL So what's wrong with that ? Does it harm you ?
Ok, I bet we'll see complains AGAIN for the sound effects for each episode (there are 12 episodes) lol I'm going to explode lol WE HAVE UNDERSTOOD ! Now can we move on ? Thanks.
For the "sexual" aspect, lol it doesn't bother me if it is logical with the plot and if it has a meaning lol Gene…
True ! Let's hope Nubsib will have a taste of his own medicine (apparently it will be the case ?). But I wish it won't be only him, but the publisher, Hin, etc. All the people around Gene are using him too for various reasons...I think when Gene and Nubsib will be a couple, it will bring chaos around them lol. It will be surely interesting to see all this little working world disturbed :)
The scene in Ep. 2 where the fancy car drops Sib off at Gene's condo got me thinking - either Sib is a rent boy…
I've seen another theory for Nubsib motivation. I've watched again ep.1 and now I wonder lol....I've read somewhere that Nubsib is using Gene for "his method acting" : he cannot get into character for his role and he needs Gene to do it. It seems plausible (or maybe I'm a fool lol). Here some "clues" ? - In fact when you read the dialogue in the audition scene, people said it is the second round of casting for Nubsib. He was not enough prepared for the first round ? - Gene saying in front of Nubsib in the audition scene that he doesn't feel like Nubsib is the right person for his character (which is very rude since Nubsib basically hears him say that while he is getting an audition lol). So Nubsib cannot get into character for the first round of casting I guess ? He hears the rude comment Gene made on him. And that's why Nubsib stops Gene from going to the toilets and "uses him as an acting partner" (note that Nubsib really says that when he apologizes to Gene after his audition) for some kind of "vengeance" and to prove he can act. Also, he can finally get the role ? However, Nubsib notices he can get into character when he plays with Gene, just like Gene notices he can have inspiration for his next novel when he plays with Nubsib. That's why Nubsib needs to be close to Gene ? And at the same time he is amused by the very obvious attraction Gene has for him...(I mean Nubsib is not blind....) and uses it for his advantage ?
lol besides the boring sound effects, I think they’re forcing the mood to roll, it doesn’t even make sense,…
Ah, too bad. It doesn't feel "forced" at all for me or maybe this is not the right word ? It is interesting to see how people can have a total different view compared to your own ? The same can be said for the sound effects. I hardly notice them...Maybe it is just not to your taste ? However, I love the series (and hope it will be the case until the end) !
Y'all it makes so much sense that the director from TharnType picked up this series.. Oh My Life.It seems this…

Gene is more or less used by a lot of persons though : his publisher, Hin, Tum, etc. I guess because he is so naive and somewhat insecure ?
But I think he is not so passive though and not so nice : he can be grumpy and rude (towards Hin and even towards Nubsib in the audition scene), a little arrogant (after all he has become successful even if he doesn't like his first BL novel because it feels "forced" as he said)....and Nubsib is becoming his muse for his next novel lol
So...not so simple. I think people judge too quickly. Human feelings are more complex and it is often not something like "all or nothing".
I'm calling it. This show finna be f***ed up. I am being serious. I know multiple things are gonna go wrong and…
I think so too and I'm curious. Considering the toxic fans, the ambition of every character, etc. But that's why it will be interesting. How can they be together with so many obstacles, etc ?
I find it interesting that people somewhat notice Nubsib's manipulative character in the kiss scene (and other scenes lol) and are (almost) not fooled by his handsome looks...
....but hardly notices this when the publisher manipulates Gene to write another BL novel.
I guess that when it is in a work environment, people accepts it more (or don't even notice it) than when it is in a private and "lover-like" environment. In fact, for work and because we need to make a living, aren't we ready to do quite a lot of things ? ...But is it still right ?
I think this scene with the publisher at the beginning of the episode 1 echoes with the kiss scene at the end of episode 2.
The publisher manipulates Gene because of his dream of success (and his desire of creative freedom). Nubsib manipulates Gene because of his dream of love (and his desire of closeness and human warmth).
However Gene is not totally a "loser" since after all BL brings money and fame to him, and Nubsib inspiration for his work (and maybe Gene won't feel so lonely anymore lol).
Oh my gosh!!!!! Nubsib is a sadboi manipulator.....When Gene rejecting the clinginess of Nubsib he became sad…
Nubsib is a sweet wolf lol But I quite like him even if he's a snake (another animalistic comparison lol) ... just as I like grumpy Gene, even if he uses Nubsib to get inspiration... Both of them in a way agree to use each other for their personal gain...lol And both will get burned because of their feelings...So interesting !
The description of Nusbi as a Wolf in Sheeps clothing is very telling in this episode. He and Tul planned the…
I don't think "BL" stands out in terms of "darkness" compared to any other industry though since in other cultural "industries", it can exists too. But I like the critical touch (and irony) of the series. It brings some flavor lol
Also I don't see this series mainly as a "BL" parody. For me, it is first a (very good) rom-com, which takes place in the "BL" series industry. People expecting something more will be disappointed I think. The novel is surely not headed towards that way ?
You see that a genre is reaching its end and running out of creativity, when the genre itself and their fandom…
Not really ? In fact, parody and self-criticism exist in any genre. As for creativity, it is more a matter of where you're looking at. Besides, I'm not sure BL is really a genre. I'd say the genre here is "romcom" not BL ?
