Well, based on the first ep, the most important woman in this show is now dead, so I don't think we'll be seeing…
Ok then but I'm still a little confused lol
For point 4, maybe because he's the only medical examiner, that's why ? and since it's in a little town, they cannot get another "expert" ?
The thing I find odd though is the reaction of the class with Natty's death (they have an exam, life goes on etc. and they don't seem troubled by her disappearance). But since we don't know the exact chronology maybe before that they were troubled, shocked, etc. However, I don't think the teacher knows about her sexual abuse since the main character refuses to give information to the reporter and hides the conditions of her death to her (the scene with the little mermaid).
The style you talk about, I think it's more a problem of editing some scenes and the acting seems a little off sometimes. Not perfect for sure but I still find it interesting.

I'm sorry but I'm very confused about your comment ?
- The series shows a violent and misogynistic society but it doesn't necessarily mean that the message (of the author, director, etc.) behind is misogynistic ? Maybe it is making a statement on how things are in this little (and not so quiet) town ? Personally, I'd wait a little more before concluding anything. After all, it is only the first episode.
-You find it boring (and that's ok since after all it is how you feel) but you also say suspense is good ? So I'm a little confused here. Unpleasant, I understand, because of the scene of the autopsy and the murders. It is to be expected since this is a crime drama.
- The detachment you speak about when the doctor does the autopsy with his intern is quite expected especially with difficult works like forensics etc. They are confronted to death (and horrible deaths). They need to detach themselves from reality in order to be "sane". I think it is also a reason why the main character goes to clubbing and gets drunk ? He needs to forget what he does as a daily job...
- You can see he's not so detached when it is his friend who is murdered (contrary to the first victim he doesn't know).
Yeah I am kind of upset that rating is stuck at 9.2 eventhough many people are rating it everyday so I don't know…
It wasn't that competitive at the beginning (even friendly). But yes it has been getting quite toxic because BL is getting more famous...But I think social media are also quite toxic : there is basically no obstacle for being a jerk lol. Also generally no show should be put on a pedestal, otherwise, you'll be no longer a reasonable fan...It is one of the reason I've stopped watching that other series, the level of admiration was too high for me and I was scared lol
I don't understand a part of the comment section. If you don't like a show (or dislike it so much), why not drop it and be done with it ? Don't force yourself ?! Why watch season 2 if you don't like season 1 ? You're bound to be disappointed then...
OMG I didn't expect the first episode to be that good ! I'm still at the beginning though. The actress is also really amazing. If the following episodes are as gripping as the first one, I think it might be my favorite kdrama.
The actor playing Kurosawa was impressive (and very touching) in this episode ! Best episode for now. Lovely series which is ironically cliché. There's a certain calmness and contemplative atmosphere emerging from the series I like too.
I'm just at the beginning of the series. For now, it is quite interesting but I think the first 2 episodes lack some kind of "subtlety" and are a bit too obvious. The overly dramatic music is also not helping. Less would have been better.

Edit : it is based on a novel and the author is a real doctor if I remember correctly ?
