Ok I'll try to be more clear. You have a comment tweet on china daily. China Daily is an "article" (or news) about Wuhan largest virus bank (1500). On this "news", a comment has been made by a thai (I guess) people named "Sleepless". If I google translate that comment it says : "The virus lab in Wuhan has a stockpile of 1,500 species, including the bats used by Chinese researchers to test for vaccines. Once an epidemic occurs China is shaking up to say that the US has sent a virus into Wuhan. Instead of letting foreigners go to investigate whether the lab itself has leaked the virus or not, haha." That comment from Sleepless with the China Daily insert is racist and has been re-tweeted by Bright's girlfriend...Why racist ? Because the person called the virus not Covid but "The virus of Wuhan". And last but not least the person ends their tweet with saying that foreigners should investigate Wuhan virus bank to see if Covid has leaked from the Wuhan Virus Bank.
Basically Bright's girlfriend re-tweets a comment making a link between Covid and Wuhan bank virus....It is a conspiracy theory (that you see in many fake news)...I mean implying a country might be responsible of the Covid outbreak is insensitive. Re-tweeting about it means you agree with that point of view...Otherwise, she would have not done it.... You may not like China, but bringing the whole responsability of a pandemic on a country....That's called racism and being very narrow-minded.... Otherwise the backlash would not have been that huge if it was for nothing ! I mean people has also died in Wuhan, and others are still dying in the world !
Damn gurl, you started an international incident!! lolBut seriously, no one is right or wrong in a situation like…
It was to be expected, unfortunately...and now it is turning into a racist twitter battle from every side...Let's just hope it is all a big misunderstanding....but I doubt it...What a mess....
Its now a trend for discrimination and racism to be swept under the rug when it comes to a popular/attractive…
It is clearly said in the racist comment tweet (that Bright's girlfriend has re-tweeted) which links an article. I've googled in my home langage and it is translated as "The virus of Wuhan"....In scientific articles they are careful and usually say Covid-19. Because a virus has no nationality.... PS : I've changed my comment : it is the comment tweet which is problematic. Sorry about that.
if you all ever thought that the amount of crazy ass attention, fans and haters Sarawat gets in this show unrealistic,…
When you're a celebrity, you have no more private life. To think otherwise is naive. If you're aiming for an actor's (or a public figure) career, you have to be very careful...If you don't want backlash, don't display your private life on social media and be "irreproachable"....and this, since the beginning...Bright's error was that, I think... Otherwise, many would have not known since the beginning, he had a girlfriend and look for her tweets, her social media activity etc. If some fans would have not insist that much on his "straight" energy and his "bro" chemistry by using the "girlfriend" argument, many would have not looked into it... Don't expect fans (and especially BL fans) to be kind and comprehensive...not all of them will be like that... And as we say : "There's no smoke without fire". Don't take lightly the power fans can have....You have to take it very seriously...They make your career but they can end it too... We may not like that but it IS like that...
Its now a trend for discrimination and racism to be swept under the rug when it comes to a popular/attractive…
Yes, from what I've read a lot of fans already know he was not single. Lol the backlash is not really because of this. But still...I don't know but calling Covid 19 the Wuhan virus is not tactful...and racist...Otherwise why not call Ebola the African virus ? Say that for the people who died from Covid in Wuhan. I'm not Chinese and even I, can understand the anger of Chinese fans... As for the ratatouille pic, well, lol it's called a subtle diss...But I don't really care about it. it's the Covid case which has really shocked me...

Yes, he has most probably a girlfriend. I know it before hand, even if Bright says they broke up, he didn't erase his photos with her and was seen with her shopping recently. So, it is more likely they are (still?) together. Some "proof" : - She has retweeted a racist comment tweet (with an article) implying Covid was man-made in Wuhan so basically it is China fault that Covid exists ! This is crazy ! How can someone believe that ? - a screenshot of Ratatouille she has posted with a little mouse saying : "Anyone can cook...why not give it a try ?" In two interviews, Bright has compared Win with "a mouse" and on another Bright has said that if Win was his boyfriend for one day, if there is a romantic mindset, he will cook for him. Win has replied he'd love that. Then you have that post of the girlfriend...basically saying Win can cook for himself...
for me no need to put on a spoiler post since the topic is about Bright's girlfriend..i somehow i agree with you…
Thank you for your kind reply ! I have to say it decreases my enjoyment of the show...but I'll still watch it to support the whole crew. Covid context makes me more emotional and intolerant to those kind of behaviors I guess...
Also Win doesn't need that too...poor guy...it's only "fanservice"...I don't understand why she takes that part of the interview so seriously too.... Indeed, she doesn't seem so supportive of her boyfriend's career. I mean it can heavily impact him too...
What a nice girlfriend Bright has...Holy shit... It is sarcasm, if you're wondering...Wow... I don't care if some say it is private life. I know some of you will disapprove my comment but I can't stand racism, insensivity and insecure people, especially in a context like that where Covid causes so many deaths ! If you want to understand, search on Twitter (#brightnnevvy).
Novel fans crazy cause they chaged things from it LOLIt's always better not to read these novels before the show…
I'm happy they don't follow exactly the novel...because from what I've heard of the novel, it is way more problematic....I just hope those "fans" won't ruin the show...Gosh I'm tired of those "fans"....
It is such a lovely episode and it is nice to see Tine's feeling developing more and more. Tine seems to less follow his friends' advice (at last) and grows a little more confident. Sarawat shows more of his "cute" side. Other characters are not so cute though (like Mil). PS : Tine's friends were never "nice", and since the beginning.... They might be funny to watch but they are not "nice". PS2 : I'm quite convinced the main couple is able to show intimate (as in a sense of closeness and mutual understanding) scenes. With their chemistry, I'm sure they can pull it on.
I don't understand some comments. I don't think the pace has a problem ? Did they make out in the first episode, get married in the second, have children in the third lol?
7 episodes later, we have a true love confession from both of them. Is it that fast ?
Still, I think it is a very enjoyable series (for now). They try to make it fun and likeable ? Of course, it is not a drama looking for awards in a ceremony....
Criticism is good of course (especially with issues like consent in BL stories, a vast but valuable topic) but to me, other criticism seem really fickle.
LOVE the series, but if everyone out there really thinks this is a good plot, then I'm losing faith in humanity.…
It's the reason I wish they didn't follow that much the novel because of the plot....
But I guess they don't want to disappoint some fans (who can be really demanding even when their request is not reasonable - but artists are not here to satisfy your every whim...some people seem to forget that).
Frankly speaking, I've read fanfiction with the "fake boyfriend" plan which were better. However, I like the parallel they made between music and the development of their feelings. It adds a nice touch.
Same! I thought I wasn't just in the right headspace while watching it last night that's why I wasn't able to…
But I've watched BL from Taiwan and Japan. I cannot say if there is a typical Japanese BL, a typical Taiwanese BL or a typical Thai BL show. What they might have in common (all of them) are those BL cliches (or not?) ? "Grey Rainbow" and "Diary of Tootsies" feel completely different but they are both Thai BL. "I hear the sunspot" and "Pornographer" feel completely different but they are both Japanese BL. "Eternal summer" and "Trapped" feel completely different but they are both Taiwanese BL.
If there is chemistry for the main couple, how could the double confession scene feel superficial ?
Well, I guess we'll have a different opinion on this episode because I disagree with what you say.
Abrupt cuts are also a way of filming. Movies are not necessarily everytime made with fade-out technique. I think it gives rythm to a show. It doesn't bother me that much.
I think the awkward pauses are understandable since both have progressed differently with their feelings. Of course, you'll still feel some kind of "discrepancy" between the two of them. Also in a dialogue, in real life, you have those kind of pauses.
The pacing does not seem to me that "odd" in this episode : we're in the ep 7, past the middle of the series and that means some kind of "climax". The beginning will be of course slow and gradual because they want to introduce the characters, the setting.
The only scenes I find irritating are the scenes where you have the product placement which are really pointless and add nothing.
Same! I thought I wasn't just in the right headspace while watching it last night that's why I wasn't able to…
But what is a typical Thai BL ? Also the plot was very clichesque since the beginning (the "fake" boyfriend plan is quite common and not only in BL). Can you explain a little more ? I find it's interesting that some people have totally another feeling when watching the same show. It's fascinating !
Perhaps my comment will be harsh but I don't care. All the negative backlash this fantastic series had was unfair. And the result is here : HISTORY series is no more. There will no HISTORY4 and CTL the movie won't happen. It is over. Bad news for the most promising BL franchise. But I'm not surprised because of the heavy toxicity of a part of the BL fandom.
