Yep, I've heard that the city is also known as "the furnace" (or something like that) for the absurd temperature of the summer ^^'' I was lucky enough to go there towards the end of autumn and the temperature was perfect :)
And about Better Days, I watched the movie some weeks after going to Chongqing and I was like "Wait, this place looks like... Nooo, I know that place! I went there!!" XD

Yes, I Belonged to You has amazing visuals 🤩 Unfortunately the screenshots I took were not of high quality, so I decided to put them only in the final section of little pictures, otherwise I would have made a section specifically for that movie 😅

Hope you'll be able to visit ^^ If you're fond of mala flavour and chili peppers, Chongqing is indeed the right place for you ;D

Thanks for your nice words ^^ I loved a series of articles published on MDL in 2019 that featured Japanese dramas and movies from each prefecture of Japan (https://kisskh.at/article/j-drama-national-tour-part-3-011013621) and thought about writing something similar for China. Being Chongqing one of my favorite cities and having watched a lot of shows set there, the choice was easy ;) Let's see if I'll find the inspiration for other cities XD

Nice to meet a fellow Chongqing lover :3 Hope you'll be able to go there, it's a very unique city, especially by night the view is amazing ^^ and don't worry about the food, there are so many types of delicacies, it's not difficult to find something suited to your taste ;)

It must have been pretty nostalgic for him. The thing I liked the most about that episode was the fact that, as the filming progressed, his Chongqing accent started slipping in more and more. It was really a feeling of being back home ^^
Marvelous City was a really nice show, it was interesting to see all the cities through the eyes of the people that live there ^^
