The last episode was absolutely ridiculous and not ina good way. I did like the very ending though, it wasn’t the miracle we hoped for but I just didn’t like how the writer got us there. I preferred the first half of this drama and appreciated the BTS insight into kdramas. I know a lot was probably exaggerated but there was some good tea dropped for how dramas operated back then. It’s going to be a decade since this finished airing in less than a month and I still sometimes think “What would Anssony Do?” when I read about real life BTS kdrama issues.
Finally finished this (I started watching it when it was airing but dropped it) and I freaking LOVED IT! Park Seo Joon & Kim Ji Won were so good as Dong Man and Ae Ra, they elevated an already good drama, absolutely perfect casting! And they seemed genuinely comfortable with each other that all the PDA came off as so natural between them. Their relationship felt so real and not just heart throb real but REALISTIC. I appreciated that their biggest conflict towards the end of the drama had real weight and you could understand both their sides. It's sometimes hard to come across that in kdramas. I also really like the overall message of the drama. I enjoyed this so much and was laughing even in the last episode. I might rewatch it one day which is rare for me with kdramas.
The poster makes so much sense now. Just finished so I’m filled with a lot of emotions (anger, sadness mostly) and I will be basically rambling here to let out my frustration. I have to say this is one of the best kdramas I have ever watched and I’ve been watching over a decade. So, SO many hyped up dramas disappoint me but this one actually lived up to it for me.
This was literally watching the cycle of abuse play out…Bom Seok is a victim but I wish the worst for him while hoping he gets help at the same time. I mostly loathe his character though, he became a monster unfortunately and even worse than his own bullies. You can have a mental illness and trauma, process it the only way you know how and hurt people because you don’t know what else to do but guess what? The people you hurt still carry their wounds. When he blamed Young Yi with some of his final words (and she internalized that guilt and distanced herself, I was SO upset!!!) I realized there might be no hope for him. I don’t even see him coming back to Korea alive or without a criminal record because he’s already become a vile bully himself.
What happened to Soo Ho is a damn tragedy!!!! When they say no good deed goes unpunished! my heart is still in my chest over him, I’m still so f-ing pissed. Realistically he should be dead or in a vegetative state since his brain was starved of oxygen for so long but I don’t want that please. The MC and the actor were incredible, it’s my first time seeing him act and hr absolutely blew me away. He needs awards for this role. This drama will stay with me for a long time, incredible watch.
Never seen so many Japanese bl dramas made in 1 single year, hope the trend continues and they keep getting better and better. When they are good, they are *chef’s kiss*
Each episode is 1 HR & 10 minutes and it’s 16 episodes? Hmm, I’ll wait till it’s over to watch, I can’t get burned again watching a live drama that starts out strong and ends up dragging its half dead carcass to the finale. Hope it stays good so I can enjoy later!
I just have to say that Gong Yoo is SO FINE in this movie, just..bless him. Also this is the only horror movie I willingly rewatch and it never gets old. The ending packs an extremely emotional punch that you hardly encounter in zombie or horror movies and it made it stand apart for me. Also, I don’t know if there’s a union of Korean actors that specialize in acting as zombies but the zombies were so good in this.
Feel good drama about people trying to live out their dreams, even though they're past their prime. Watched mainly…
I don’t believe for a second they were past their prime, society told them they were and they believed it but it became obvious that was a lie when they started carving their own paths to their dreams.
