I watched all the episodes in 2 days and I feel so disappointed just before the last 2 ones... she made a huge…
don't agree at all, i'm glad she was honest with herself and she seems to have no regrets after time passes and is instead appreciative of her relationships with both Woong and Ba Bi.
As I was watching ep 13 I felt like I wanted to cry. Seeing Babi's dad approve of Yumi and actually end up liking…
I definitely agree that they should have had Babi and Woong move on..Woong still being so hung up on her till the end was way too much. I'm still confused if there will be a 3rd season or not, I guess TVN/TVING were waiting to see if there was enough interest in it first before officially continuing with a 3rd season, who knows.
I'll be honest... the people mad at Yumi, some insulting her for the break up, those thinking that she should have chose Ba Bi basically just want Ba Bi for themselves and are pissed she had the audacity not to choose Ba Bi like they would have. It's pure projection and although I'm not feeling the same way, I get why people feel this way. At the same time, just because someone is really nice or a good significant other automatically *does not mean a person should get married to them. Babi was probably just as sweet with his past girlfriends and they didn't work out either.
I'm glad Yumi was honest with herself and listened to her gut while so many are not brave enough to. Even Babi said he had a feeling before she said let's break up, he wanted to keep acting like everything was ok, that's why he dropped the let's get married bomb at a nonsensical time. I guess people want her to be in a marriage or relationship where she's not truly happy just because her SO is good looking and sweet.
The cells have already shown Yumi marries someone else and lives a long and happy life so she obviously made the right decision. I will admit she had serious communication issues with Woong and Babi that I hope she doesn't repeat in fugure relationships. I wish we saw that she has learned from the mistakes made in these relationships (both from her and the guys). Hopefully we will in the future. It honestly feels like it wouldn't have mattered even if she and Babi sat down and were honest with each other though as important as it is. She was basically done with him and that's ok, they will all be ok.
WTF WAS THAT ENDING WHAAT-i literally hate all the caracthers in this lmao..honestly the plot carried the show…
Compared to the original, the ending here is much more hopeful. The endings for both shows are fitting though. Also, both the main characters are even more hate-worthy, hot messes in the original, I watch a lot of British & UK shows (more so than Asian shows in the last few years) but I personally prefer WoM over Dr. Foster. Dr. Foster is more tightly written due to having 6 fewer episodes and has much more intense performances but for me, WoM was a much more poignant and emotionally devastating portrayal of the tragic destruction of a family. There’s also a glimmer of hope at the end that I appreciated and that made sense in this drama.
You have a good point but the writers now have 2 episodes to show convincingly that Babi has learned not to lie to Yumi and to be more vulnerable and open with her, that they’ve BOTH learned to work on their communication (please they at least need to TALK directly about Da Eun situation and everything that led to their breakup) and that Yumi feels she can truly trust Babi again…especially since they are rushing to get married now. Beyond that, if this is the last season. we as viewers need to believe she is truly happy and did not settle after following Yumi on her life and dating journey. Also, there’s still the confusion whether the reason she was not happy after they got back together was not just because they were both worried the other regretted it (since that has been cleared up ) or that she felt it was too hard. It is not a good sign for a relationship when someone is rushing to their SO’s house in a panic and straight up thinks they are cheating especially with someone specific in mind. When trust is broken in a relationship, it requires a lot and I mean, a lot of serious work and time, ideally with a relationship counselor. This show tries to be more realistic so I’ll add that even then, it’s still not enough to save a couple.
If the show does go that route, it will certainly be different and refreshing especially if it’s pulled off well and convincingly in the time left that the audience is not thinking they will breakup in 6 months. If this is the last season, we want to say goodbye to Yumi knowing she is on the path to the long and happy life we have been told she will have. Whatever happens, Yumi & Babi should NOT be getting married right now, I’m still shocked Babi suggested that and it feels like another coping mechanism of his he needs to address. I’m still confused and weirded out by how his cells suddenly turned shady and ran to that red light district to burn his memory of first liking Yumi a few episodes ago. I hope that’s another issue addressed before the season ends also and I expect it will….there’s quite alot to address here because they were generally in a (somewhat forced) honeymoon period for so long before they broke up. I’m honestly not rooting for them because if Yumi was my RL friend and told me all their tea. I would be side-eyeing Babi but if they can truly and believably make it work in the long term, I’ll tip my hat to them.
Watching the jacket scene again in ep. 12, Babi is really “over the top good that it annoys you” kinda guy.…
I was wondering if that's why his cells conveniently hid when he started liking Yumi? Because he started liking her when she was with Woong, probably around the time he gave his jacket to Yumi. The guy randomly started popping up out of nowhere in front of her (it annoyed me from the beginning) around the same time even though they had been living in the same neighborhood for awhile.
It would be really complicated, by the way he didn't break a nail but a leg, he needs at least a month to heal,…
I really think they made a mistake dragging Yumi and Babi storyline (and Woong's chasing of Yumi) ike this. To my knowledge, they get back together in the drama but Yumi breaks up with Babi because she realizes she's not happy.
Someone please correct me but from the reactions I'm seeing there isn't this extra drama with the accident, lying (although with Babi's past behaviour with hiding..details.. it's not crazy far out of left field) and Babi proposing after revealing he is a straight liar....she really didn't need all of this to happen to realize they weren't going to work as a couple again. Also not necessary for most of the audience to understand why Yumi would break up with Babi after they get back together. Going by next episode preview (unless it's someone fantasizing or dreaming), it's dragged out for way too long.
They are trying to make the drama different from the webtoon (although the ending seems like it will be the same) but IMO, 2nd season's pacing has not been good overall.
I really hope and pray wung and yumi to become the end game
Just my opinion...I really like Woong but he and Yumi's ship has sailed. She does not seem to have any romantic feelings for him and has moved on since it's been years they broke up AND she had another serious relationship after him. I think Yumi is his first serious adult relationship so I get why he still likes her. This is more of a realistic drama so I want them both (including Ba Bi) to move on from each other and be happy with the right people. We are seeing that none of them are really right for each other and that's ok. I would love if the last shot of Woong was him being happy with his life partner while his business continues to flourish. I know he tried to get with Yumi again in the webtoon but I don't like how they have him chasing her for this long now.
If Yumi ends up with Babi, i'll leave this drama with the biggest feeling of dissapointment with a drama and also dissapointment IN Yumi and FOR Yumi because she will most likely have trust issues for their entire relationship and never really be at peace. I'm FLABBERGASTED at the revelation at the end and his reason for it...there's NO EXCUSE for that Level of lying especially since he's been exposed as lying about something big before! On top of that Yumi was thinking he might be with Da Eun which made no sense but you can't even blame her! And then he asks her to marry him? WTF!? I would have laughed in his gorgeous, stupid face. We've already seen that Yumi now places herself FIRST, her writing 2nd and Babi third on her list of priorities in life. That's my Yumi! This foreshadows that she will probably not go through with marrying Babi but who knows what will happen . I really don't like the pacing in the 2nd season and how the relationships between the 3 are being dragged out now. Please let them all move on already!! Also I swear to God if we get SoonRok in the final few scenes of the last episode 🤬🤬🤬
Also PR team never disclosed this casting. There were rumors that broke out. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2022/07/tvns-alchemy-of-souls-responds-to-rumors-that-the-female-lead-will-be-changed-from-jung-so-min-to-go-yoon-jung-in-part-2
You are really overestimating how much PR agencies/teams can do.
I was watching with my mom (who jumped into episode 3 with me for her first episode) and she said she would not be surprised if they get married by the end of the drama. She hasn’t even seen the wedding gown scene lol
I havent watched the last 4 episodes but saw some spoilers. How these 2 episodes made me rethink about how babi…
I agree and after this, she might NEVER trust him again and have doubts about how he feels about other women. People are just upset because Babi was this perfect, storybook boyfriend and they feel like he was so wonderful that Yumi needed a bigger reason to break up with him.
I'm glad Yumi was honest with herself and listened to her gut while so many are not brave enough to. OP please can you share the link for the photo and yes I am thirsty!! I am not ashamed 😐 I’ll watch this MAN in anything
