I haven’t started this one but I’ve personally gone back to watching older kdramas. They are just *generally*…
Yes I’m the same mind with cliches, it’s all about their delivery and how they are used within a plot. Thriller and non romance dramas are more prevalent now which I appreciate. We have more grittier and intense dramas also. I get hyped and check them out but so many I’ve seen are either soulless/bland/paint by the numbers or become nonsensical and go downhill as they go on. My standards are higher for more dramatic and intense shows than just being entertaining, they have to have decent to good writing at least. What’s worse is these types of shows now have shorter episode lengths which contributes further to the story being half baked or rushed. And if the drama has big name actors, ruh roh…I’ve learned over the years to lower my standards even more, it’s the opposite of what you expect. The writing is not elevated to let these big stars shine and display their talents, it instead takes a backseat to production, how pretty everything looks and showing off the big name actors.
I go back to kdramas when you all started to appreciate a story, writing, and acting. it’s insane how you all…
I haven’t started this one but I’ve personally gone back to watching older kdramas. They are just *generally* so much more interesting with in depth characters that are given the time to develop well. Watching Live up to your Name after dropping 2-3 current or recent dramas that couldn’t keep my interest past a few episodes and difference is night and day. I watch more western shows these days so it’s not about how westernized kdramas have become like people say, it’s more than that.
Yes it’s called doing their jobs based on their contracts but it was the right call from the company with all the attention it’s getting on certain parts of social media.
Honestly I’m not into K-pop at all (trust me I’ve tried) so I wasn’t aware he was an idol before I saw him in Weak Class Hero 1 where he blew me away. His eyes are incredibly expressive, he is a talented actor. I’m fine with idols acting in dramas as long as they have genuine talent and potential for acting and yes it is obvious when they do.
GOAT drama despite the network tripping up the writer midway with their greedy extension since the show became so popular unexpectedly. If the show starts to drag at the midway point, that is why. I was pissed when that happened while it was airing but they handled it quite well when other dramas haven’t. Wish I could rewatch it again, I miss dramas like this!!!!!
I watch Apple TV almost every week and had ZERO CLUE this show existed until I came across an article about it on reddit. I hear it's really good though, I'll be watching the first season when i have some time.
Is Prime included with that or is it a separate statistic? I really don't know. But I've been seeing and reading…
This drama is based on a webtoon which are created for Korean audiences in mind, this drama is definitely not meant for an international or especially western audience, most would think the premise of the show was absolutely childish and ridiculous since he’s not even that scary. Also please clarify what you mean by western propaganda flooding into kdramas? Genuinely curious because I got back into dramas after a hiatus and read this here and there.
Funny to see this boring drama with forced comedy has higher ratings than Made in Korea.
Higher ratings on MDL? If so…who…cares? Or do you think the ratings on here actually matter in reality outside this website 😂 some of you get salty over the dumbest stuff on here and no I am not being salty in turn, I’m amused lol
I have yet to meet an Ahn Bo Hyun drama I did not like, When he's funny, he's hilarious.
He’s so likeable! I absolutely loooved him in Yumi’s cells and Flex x Cop, I just started watching Military Prosecutor Doberman because of him along with this drama.
speaking of chatGPT, it didn’t write the story, but here is what it really says about the drama:“In South…
lol wat 🤣 this literally proves/disproves nothing. It’s actually scary that you pulled ChatGPT as some type of legitimate source for anything jfc. I really hope you meant that as a tongue in cheek joke. Also it is really not that serious, most normal people probably watched this and dropped it if they didn’t enjoy it or finished it and liked it then moved on with their lives.
ETA: And NANA?!! Oh I’m sat and seated!! 😍😍😍
